Hilltop Views From a Historic Tuscan Home

JaninaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Bryan and Sara! Reaching the accommodation requires a short hike, but you’re rewarded with stunning views – and the luggage is conveniently brought up by a small tractor. From the very beginning, everything was perfect. The house, garden, and pool are absolutely beautiful – a true little paradise. Everything was clean and lovingly maintained. Bryan and Sara are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who do everything they can to make your stay special. Since we arrived late, Sara kindly offered to prepare a lovely dinner for us, and Bryan gave us a little pizza-making class – such a great experience! Their helpfulness and kindness, combined with the magical charm of the accommodation, made our stay truly unique and unforgettable. Thanks a lot :)

Dream house

RosaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very well-kept property with attention to detail! In addition to the full cleaning. The directions were clear and the location is good for getting around by car between Liguria and Tuscany. Street parking in front of the entrance gate, quiet area with the charm of the river. The description of the structure is accurate, so the only thing I would point out is that it may not be too suitable for those who have problems climbing stairs, as it is arranged on three levels.

"Upupa" country house

SabrinaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a great week at Giovanna and Antonio's. They are both very nice, helpful and always available for questions. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, very cozy and we felt right at home. The shared garden is beautiful and the pool is great to cool off on a hot day. Lucca is about 10 minutes by car and Pisa and Florence are also easy to reach. We 100% recommend the place. Thanks for the great time :-)

Infinity pool Pisa-Lucca-Florence Views

CarolineRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We expected this villa and views to be amazingly but it was above our expectations would definately recommed it, Jeroen emailed clear directions andchecking in info but he also videoed the sign and road to look out for and videoed the road down to the villa as it wasn't signposted. The villa has 360° panaramic views, and is not overlooked at all, with a fab infinity pool. Very clean and modern, had everything u needed. It was a pleasent change to have plenty of everything in the kitchen, crockery and glasses all matching and stacked high. Washing machine and dishwasher were added bonuses along with the little shop just up the road. 5 star all the way.

Leon Morto

RabeaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I can agree with the other reviews, we had a wonderful vacation here. Jonny and Susanne are very warm, helpful hosts and have put a lot of passion into renovating the old farmhouse. Our highlights: - High quality of the facility - Clean pool with perfect temperature to cool off - Comfortable beds - Great view - Varied breakfast - Top outdoor kitchen - E-bikes with a lot of power, it was really fun They also had lots of insider tips for excursions and restaurants. It was an unforgettable vacation for us ☺️ In the evening, the insects come, but the whole house has fly screens and outside there is an evaporator against mosquitoes, so you can sit outside without stings on the warm summer nights and watch the fireflies 🥰

Podere Tignano, 4-bedroom villa in the Chianti!

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

The Owl: view, pool and garden

JasonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a great place to stay while visiting Tuscany. The home is a renovated medieval watchtower located up a dirt road, tucked on a hilltop overlooking the valley. Jacopo, the host, was so kind, hospitable and responsive during our 5-day visit. Would definitely recommend this place to explore Tuscana.

Elegant ancient villa Lucca

LeahRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
From the moment we were greeted by Isabella, Massimo and their son, to the moment we said goodbye we felt right at home. The house is well located. It was nice to leave the hustle of the old city and retreat to the expansive peaceful terrace of the house for an “aperitivo” before dinner. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well after long days of touring. One of our favorite things was collecting water from the town spring, which was just a few doors away.

Montecatini Alto Art View

We loved staying in Carolina’s house in Montecatini Alto. It was a lovely welcoming place to wake up in and return to at the end of the day. The view from the windows and the patio is extraordinary and sitting out enjoying it was one of the best parts of the holiday. The house had all we needed. Carolina was a wonderful host; friendly, quick to reply and extremely helpful. The village is a lovely quiet place to stay and we wouldn’t look anywhere else if we return to the area.

La Vecchia - a beautiful Tuscan village house

AgneseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you're looking for a special place, Emma's place is the right home! The house is really nice, well-kept, interesting, and full of personality. The view from the bedroom is a dream. There's no shortage of outdoor spaces... from the small terrace to the sun bench, not to mention the garden. And for those who love music, lots of beautiful guitars. The village is beautiful, without a car (which you park at the beginning of the village). Peace, silence, and swallows will keep you company. And then there's Mony who will always be available and answer any questions. He manages the only bar in the country where you can make relaxing aperitifs and always feel welcome as if you were at home. Don't miss out on the weekend the pizza prepared by Mony, so good!!!! I will do everything to return to this little slice of heaven for a few days!!! Thanks Emma for your hospitality.

La Radice

DianeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were able to enjoy this amazing place for two weeks. During our first ride up, we were already enchanted by the beauty of the surroundings. Lara's house is on an open plateau surrounded by trees. It is a beautiful house, equipped with every comfort. It is clean and very well maintained. The view from the garden and your balcony is directed at Tassilico. A village you can walk to. Verni is a very charming village where you can walk to from the house. And you can have a delicious homemade dinner and/or lunch at Lara's, let her know. Your table is set in a nice square and you enjoy, excellent! Feels like home. Lara is a very friendly woman and is always ready to help. Has very nice tips to discover nearby. And there are several hiking routes to discover from the house. Through komoot, we have discovered routes, in multiple lengths. We highly recommend Lara's place, if we could give a 6!!

Nature, Vineyards and big Garden - Cà de Otto

FrancescaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Alessandro's accommodation is great for those who want to get away from the chaos of the city, it is in a quiet location and surrounded by greenery but still close to a lot of areas of interest such as Forte dei Marmi (20min), Marina di Carrara (10min) and so on... it is a very strategic place, especially if you have pets with you. Our little dachshund - Focaccia - was able to run freely in the huge garden in front of the accommodation - a place where my partner and I decided to have dinner every evening enjoying the beautiful sunset 🌇 The accommodation is beautiful, new and equipped with a really super-stocked kitchen (we could even make pizza!). We were also very pleased with the presence of an air conditioner. We will definitely be back, we highly recommend it 🫶🏼 N.B. Alessandro has always been super helpful in answering all my questions and giving me valuable advice on what to see/where to eat, etc. Thank you Alessandro for your infinite patience?

"Le Casette" Vacation Home

JankaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I'm having trouble squeezing all the great things we experienced during our week at Le Casette in a short review. It's the most amazing peaceful location, while you still have the chance to have an absolutely tasty dinner in the town in the valley. You have the chance to go on a picturesque hike, starting from the house, and then arrive back and chill on the terrace with your carbonara and prosecco while fireflies light up the forest. It's just... perfect. Marco is a super nice host, but really, everyone we met up there was just so kind, you are greeted with Italian hospitality at its best here. We got valuable recommendations for activities and Marco is the most responsive host I ever met. The house itself is a jewellery box, such nice details and we found it very comfy and spacious. Embrace the Panda and take a chance on this gem of an accommodation. :)

Roof tiles

SharnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a relaxing & peaceful time in Capannori at ‘roof tiles’ This stone home was not fancy but traditional and had all we required for our stay in the breathtaking countryside. It wasn’t the easiest to find or access due to the steep gravel driveway, but that’s what made it secluded and special. We enjoyed wonderful walks in the forests & nearby villages where we met many friendly & kind locals. A great place to decompress after a busy time in Florence, & only short but very beautiful drives to lovely Lucca & Pisa. Don’t expect 5 star fanciness, but a place with all you need to experience & enjoy the Tuscan landscape! I’ve never heard such a cacophony of birdsong - blissful !

House With Panoramic Terrace

CristianaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
My boyfriend and I stayed here for Lucca Comics 2024. Compared to Lucca, it's definitely out of the way, but the house was beautiful and in an extremely quiet location, super nice host (he also gave us parking tips for Lucca) and very clean house. Great value for money, the important thing is that, like us, you don't mind driving a little to reach Lucca if that's where you want to go!

Casa Iperico in Historic Tuscan Villa

DuaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Bianca is one of the best hosts I ever encountered. She is very friendly, welcoming and social. She is very passionate about her house and guests. She treated us like friends and I think we already became friends for life. Her house is very special, magical, clean and beautiful. Its very spacious felt right at home and had everything we needed. Its private and peaceful yet walking distance from Grassina town down the hill, around 10 minutes walk. The town has everything you need from restaurants to bars, Farmacia, little boutique shops and beauty salons. The location is perfect and outside the city but only 20-30 minutes from Florence. I am defiantly coming back to this place.
