We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this immaculate home in Oxford. The house is beautifully furnished with a perfect blend of comfort and style—every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The back garden was a real highlight: peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the host made us feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking a relaxing and elegant stay in Oxford.

This was a fantastic place to stay, just off the M1, yet in the former village of Broughton, so very attractive surroundings and open space to walk my dog. It's also very convenient for visiting the centre of Milton Keynes, I was going to the theatre, which is ten minute drive, I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely quirky cottage with spacious lounge, dining room and kitchen. Very well equipped and we found the beds extremely comfortable. Had a very relaxed one night stay. Great that the check out time was 12pm, much appreciated. Many thanks.

We had a lovely stay, food and drink for breakfast was therevfor us when we arrived. The house was nice in a quiet area, would stay again if we were back in the area

Really lovely place with great kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. It was easy to find and parking was available right outside the property. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and one bedroom through the spiral stairs. The kitchen and lounge are up a flight of stairs as well so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues! A lovely place - recommend!!

I had an amazing stay at this place! The space was incredibly clean and well-maintained, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The house was also very spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The pictures just don’t do it justice. Swimming pool and Sauna was a nice touch for sure and definitely made use of it. John was responsive and helpful, making the entire experience seamless. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

The Dovecote is a beautiful, tiny stone built restored outbuilding. Inside, it has been efficiently fitted out in a way that was perfect for our requirements. Its location is even better than we were expecting, being in peaceful natural surroundings with two other larger stonebuilt properties nearby. It's literally right next to the canal, which was busy with canal boats. It's approached along a narrow lane between a row of cottages on one side, and the canal on the other. This gave us an immediate WOW! factor, which continued to include the property itself. We walked from the property right into into Oxford city centre along the canal path - a 13km walk which took us two and a half hours. We also did a shorter walk along the canal in the opposite direction. There are two pubs close by which provided good food (but note - they stop serving food at about 8pm), and a lovely tea room. We stayed three nights and wished we'd had longer. We loved it.

We had a lovely break here whilst visiting family nearby, Stuart was very helpful and accommodating. Everything we needed was provided, absolutely gorgeous area and all round welcoming atmosphere. Stuart even kindly installed WiFi for us- as signal is hit and miss in the area. Very clean Caravan as well and well equipped. We had a lovely time at Sarah's place. It's as the photos suggest and is in a very peaceful surrounding. The barn is next to Sarah's family home, but the way it is oriented means you get plenty of privacy. Thank you for letting us in to your home. We all had a lovely quality time with friends.

This was a lovely relaxing place to spend some time. We loved the pool area. The pool was warm and the floating beanbag was great! Daniel was very welcoming. Would recommend.

We had the best time, the pool is amazing!! The time slots were ideal and work really well- great pool for adults and children. Beautiful cottage, lovely gardens-we felt so at home, nothing was too much trouble for Bridget. The children have now also found a new love for tennis! We def hope to return … 10 out of 10 from us!!

A perfect spot for a night or two, when in the area, especially if wanting to visit Bletchley Park, which is about a 7 minute walk. Very clean, exactly as described. Bed super comfy, and lovely en-suite. Our hosts were very responsive to any queries and our stay went very smoothly.

We loved our 2 night stay at Black Squirrel Barn. The location is beautiful and peaceful with 2 lovely country pubs within walking distance. It was the perfect base for our family of five to attend a wedding in Hitchin. The barn is very homely and comfortable and was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We particularly appreciated the vegan options kindly provided for breakfast. We made use of the private patio and pagoda and also enjoyed the stunning shared gardens filled with wildlife (the black squirrel was a special treat) and the tennis court. Niki was a warm and welcoming host and very responsive to messages. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Beautiful environment - we felt right at home. Olivia and family (including Ulu and Dumpling) were very friendly and accommodating..

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Ashley for accommodating me and my dog for a week due to work commitments . Great central location, really clean, pristine house, super well equipped house from kitchen (stocked spice cabinet) to washing machine (laundry, iron and cleaning supplies). Really felt like a home away from home, and the snacks along with doggy bags left out were a great personal touch. Thank you once again and already will be looking to book back in next time!

Ali is fab as was her welcome. The place was perfect for our purposes (we were breaking up a long journey home and all was calm and lovely). check in and check out times were more generous than we are used to. Our dog Bruno also wants to give a 5 paw review as we were allowed to use Ali's garden - plus the surrounding village is very walkable with cars a rarity.

Excellent, super friendly , helpful host! Property as described, lovely and cosy & very well equipped! Perfect for our needs & being In Town to do the marathon this was a perfect location! Nice & quiet & Close to centre too! Would def stay here again!

Had a lovely 2 night stay, accommodation as described, clean and comfortable. Welcome pack (milk, butter, bread, porridge pots, fruit juice tea and coffee) much appreciated. Safe parking available. Good value for the money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in pretty Pear Tree Cottage. James and his family are warm, friendly and responsive hosts. The accommodation enjoys the best of all worlds - the setting is tranquil and scenic and at the same time just an hour’s drive from Northwest London. There are great local restaurants offering good dietary options and a handy supermarket in Marston Moretaine. We were able to go for lovely walks in a nature reserve right on the doorstep. We would love to stay there again.
