If you are looking to stay near the National Park and enjoy a private, incredibly quite relaxing trip, this is the most amazing choice. For us this home was the perfect space, incredible design, stunning views with impeccable lighting. We needed to rest and relax while exploring the vast landscape of Iceland and this was beyond perfect. We will absolutely be back.

Austurey - Lakefront Villa

JuneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. Although we only caught one, it was an experience we won’t forget. Gary/June "Beautiful, relaxing; food & gas nearby. Very accommodating Host. Would stay here again. Myra

Helga is a fantastic host! The property was great and was perfect for the reason we went to Iceland - Aurora Borealis !!! The northern lights were so great and we enjoyed them right from the deck of the cabin. Walking around the entire home while taking photos was perfect. The hot tub is excellent and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were greeted with a tasty cake and enjoyed the kitchen daily. Great hot water and shower. Slept so well in the comfy beds and linen. I can’t say enough about this property. Already trying to figure out when we are visiting again. Absolutely the best trip we could have had. The location is perfect for so many different sites inThe Golden Circle and the Geyser area!! Waterfalls were beautiful and within driving distance. A geothermal spa is just moments away. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Condo with view in Flúðir.

HeikeRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We were 6 women and 2 weeks in the accommodation. The location is great to star-shaped in all directions to the attractions. There are also 3 swimming options right in the area. The cottage is exactly as described and the equipment is good. A Krambudin is within walking distance. Communication with Ingvar was quick and good. For 6 women, there were often traffic jams in front of the bathroom... but otherwise the apartment is also great. We will be happy to come back.
A modern villa is set against a scenic backdrop, featuring large windows that provide views of the surrounding landscape. The structure's sleek lines and muted wooden exterior blend harmoniously with the natural environment, and the sky above is marked by soft clouds.

Cosy cottage at Lake Apavatn - Laugarvatn

NinaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Very good communication with the lovely and very understanding hosts, they very helpful Tipps for the area. The cottage is far out in the country and really quiet, we loved the hot tub and we felt like at home right from the beginning on. It’s located on the golden circle and a perfect point to explore. Very good equipped amenities. We were really lucky to see wonderful dancing northern lights from the cottage and a really 360* view from the field on the way there with an open view in the beautiful landscape. We would suggest to get a SUV and 4x4 to get there since this was the only problem we had to get there and away after the snow storm.

Luxury Cottage with Panoramic Views

RussellRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a great place to be out in the country and enjoy a beautiful view over coffee every morning. The trip to Selfoss was a little bit further than we were expecting, but the benefit of being close to Thingvellir and Nasjevellir parks made it a very cool spot for the week. And you get a head start to all of the places out in the western part of the country like Vik and Westman Islands that would be very far from Reykjavik. We enjoyed our trip!
A private hot tub is situated on a wooden deck, with steam rising in the cool air. The sun sets in the background, casting a warm glow over the surrounding landscape, which features leafless trees and a serene view of the lake.

Cozy cabin by a beautiful lake and nature.

MegRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We loved our "Cozy Cabin!" It was exactly as advertised, and Dora made our stay very comfortable. She is extremely responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. The cabin was well furnished and nicely equipped, and we had everything we needed. We had a fabulous time; even saw the Northern Lights from the deck, too, which was certainly a "bucket list" item! We were very happy with everything. Thank you, Dora, for being such a great host.
