Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bláskógabyggð

We really liked the place and the hot tub...Only problem...We had the window open the second night and there were so many midges coming in....... It has nothing to do with the house but might be good to know... Apart from that we had a very good time.

Het uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer is adembenemend. De villa is goed te bereiken en ligt op minder dan tien minuten rijden van Fludir, waar je boodschappen kunt doen en naar de secret lagoon kunt gaan. Perfecte locatie dus. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in de villa!

Heerlijk huisje om een paar dagen te verblijven. Mooi ingericht en heerlijke bedden. Fijn terras en heerlijk genieten in de jacuzzi!

This home offered a cozy place to stay for our family of 9 as we visited the Golden Circle. The rural location was so peaceful. The kitchen was nice for meal preparation and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this home for your stay!

Jon's place in Flúðir was a delightful surprise! The space was incredibly comfortable and spacious, perfect for exploring the stunning Icelandic countryside. The bathroom was a particular highlight, feeling more like a luxurious 5-star hotel than a vacation rental. The place was fully equipped with everything I needed, making our stay truly hassle-free. Jon was also very responsive and helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Wonderfully proactive communication made for an easy self-check in. House was spacious and charming. All the listed amenities were available, though we didn’t stay long enough to use all of them. Try the local restaurants — especially the bistro— they’re amazing!

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, authentic, well equipped, yet we did not use everything provided for the comfort of guests (e.g. grill outside). We felt like at home away from home - and that not just the words, that was how we felt staying at this beautiful farm.

This is an AMAZING place! The home is so peaceful and comfortable, the property and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful, and Elin and her family are incredibly kind. Our family felt right at home - and Elin was so nice to let us adopt her dog Visa during our stay :) The location is excellent for adventuring around the Golden Circle, while staying in a quiet retreat each night. I’ll be recommending Elin’s place to anyone I know visiting Iceland! Thanks again Elin!

My husband and I took our 18 year old daughter to Iceland to celebrate her graduating from High School. The apartment was sufficient in size for the 3 of us. The apartment was walking distance to everything we needed, and the area felt very quiet and safe. We got good from a local grocery store, and made breakfast at the apartment- we had everything necessary to make eggs, toast, etc. I would stay here again and would recommend it to other people. *One thing to note, that when we stayed here in May of 2025- it appeared that they are making some big updates/renovations to the apartment complex. When we arrived there was loud sawing/drilling noises (maybe around 6pm) and the same noises started again around 8:30am the next morning. I understand that the work needs to get done, but perhaps starting after 9am, and ending around 5pm would have been better so that the guests could rest.

We stayed 2 nights in Elfa’s place during the summer. The instruction is clear and you have everything you need there. The apartment has a very good floor plans. You could definitely sleep peacefully if you have a company who snores. Elfa is responsive and even willing to let us pick up our stuff when we left and forgot our stuff in the fridge.

Great location, fantastic views, wonderful apartment with comfortable mattresses, well equipped kitchen and lovely hot pool.

We have enjoyed this place, very peaceful and perfectly situated to visit the Golden Circle sites. The housing is quite basic, but sufficient and very comfortable. We recommend this place.

Mein absolutes Highlight an Airbnb, die ich je hatte. Es war unglaublich schön und liebevoll mit vielen Details eingerichtet. Ruhige private Umgebung für erholsame Tage. Für Aktivitäten ist der golden Circle gut und schnell zu erreichen. Es gibt sogar mit dem Auto 8 Minuten entfernt eine heisse Quelle (Hrunalaug, 09:00-23:00 Uhr offen). Der Kaffe war ausgezeichnet für alle, die gerne am morgen früh draussen in der Natur sitzen und diesen geniessen wollen. Ich kann die Unterkunft empfehlen! Ich war zwei Tage dort. Wenn jemand mehr Zeit hat, empfehle ich mehre Tage.

Brand new construction. Very welcoming hosts. Located in a cute town right in the golden circle with several restaurants within walking distance. Very much enjoyed my stay.
