Homely Hiker's Paradise

JamesRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had a lovely stay here with my brother, my sister and my two dogs. We used it as a base to walk Pen Y Fan and the Four Waterfalls trail. This was the first time staying in an Airbnb which is used as someone's home as well, so a new experience for me. The garden is fully secure so I was really comfortable letting the dogs off the lead. Big Sofas and large TV meant relaxing in the evening was easy. Alan was quick to respond to any messages and helpful in answering any questions we had.

Robโ€™s place is in a quiet, developing part of Cardiff. It is easy walking distance to the heart of Cardiffโ€™s central, pedestrian-friendly core which leads to Cardiff Castle and Bute Park beyond. The harbor can be reached after a pleasant 20-minute stroll along the River Taff. The unit is immaculate and well supplied, and Rob was kind enough to meet us upon our arrival and give us the lay of the land.

Quiet, smart location with a co op supermarket nearby if you go under the railway bridge and over the road. Not as central as we thought, so had to get taxis into town but easy if you have an uber account. Sam was very responsive from the outset. Quick to reply and helpful. The apartment is very newly done and the beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding and towels. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash was provided in the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Instructions for entry were clear and easy.

We loved Scott's accommodation. We went for a long weekend with friends and was a perfect size for 4 people. Was situated in a great area. Some might find it a little noisy at night but we loved the vibe. Lots of lovely pubs and places to eat close by too. Scott was great at communicating which helped make the stay even easier. Paid parking was close by too. A great place to stay and would recommend it to others.

Beech Tree Cottage, Crickhowell.

My friend and I had a brilliant 4 night stay at Sianโ€™s. The location suited our interest in walking and natural history (hills, meadows, Usk valley and the canal) and there were plenty of options for eating out nearby (with a car). Their house, garden and offering were amazing, we felt like weโ€™d struck gold! Everything clean and good quality, a delicious breakfast and hosts on hand when needed and always happy to offer local knowledge and advice, such as route planning and local history. Itโ€™s a beautiful part of Wales, and weโ€™d love to visit again. Highly recommend a stay here.

Super Manor House bed and breakfast 1

EmmaRating, 5 stars24 months ago
After a busy couple of weeks and having just hosted a party for 50 people we were looking for a peaceful retreat for some R&R to end our 20th anniversary celebrations. Tall Johns House did not disappoint. The Manor House is beautiful and the walled garden was a peaceful setting where we ended up falling asleep in the sunshine. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful views of the Brecons. Archie welcomed us and was on hand to help us and help with any queries including recommendations for a meal that evening and a taxi home. He even ran us over to the pub to pick up our car the next day. No review would be complete without mentioning the fabulous breakfast. A real treat which set us up for the day. Thank you Elizabeth and Archie for a lovely stay, which was everything we were looking for - we were thoroughly relaxed and rested by the time we left!
