"Traditional Cornish Cottage, Cosy and Homely"

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A lovely cornish cottage with great garden for our dog & very convenient parking right outside thd front door which is good for the price. A good & handy welcome guide. We walked to Charlestown which only takes 15 minutes & is beautiful, had a coffee & really nice stroll, beach & harbor walk. We drove to Mevagissey which only takes 20 minutes, enjoyed the atmosphere, shops & a pasty here. The only downside was couldn't find anywhere nice right where we were like a cafe. Busy traffic but quieter at night. Only tip for cottage would be curtains for room our daughter stayed in for coziness & block light out more & a curtain to go accross front door for the same reasons. Other than that its a spacious, pretty & clean cottage, checking in and out was simple. Thank you.

A Hidden Gem in Cornwall

Our stay at the Old Chapel was top notch. The building had a calm and restful vibe, and provided a great base for either relaxing or going out exploring. Loved the artwork and the selection of books on the shelves of the bespoke bookcase. New kitchen, smart bathroom and a really comfy bed were hugely appreciated! Andrew was a very friendly and helpful host, who was there if needed but was no way intrusive. An interesting chap, we wish we could have had more time for some conversation with him! Rufus the dog was absolutely welcoming, very intelligent and great fun. No wonder everyone falls in love with him! Parking (at a premium in this village), free wi-fi, and very handy shop and takeaway on the doorstep and pub nearby, we couldn't ask for more. Thank you, Andrew - we will definitely return soon!

Private Countryside Shepherd’s Hut Haven

We had a wonderful stay in Cornwall! Amanda was a fantastic host. It was easy to check in, and we were met with a sweet note and some delicious scones and Cornish clotted cream to kick off our time! The location was so beautiful. Surrounded by lovely woods and wildflowers, we heard bird song every morning. St Dennis is a short walk away and the people are incredibly kind. The buses in Cornwall are also very accessible for those that are intimidated by Cornish roads! But after a few days we got the courage to hire a car, and it ended up being quite manageable! The stay had everything you need! And Amanda was an incredibly responsive and kind host (and very understanding when I accidentally broke a plate while doing dishes one morning!). My first time to Cornwall, but it won’t be my last! I highly recommend this stay, and look forward to coming back!

A tiny gem

The weather wasn’t great but we had a lovely stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The cottage itself was nicely furnished and equipped but we especially loved the tranquil surroundings. It was a good, central location too if you don’t mind navigating the tiny country lanes to get in and out of Grogley.
A modern entrance is framed by wooden pillars and features a sleek dark door. The walkway is lined with neatly trimmed shrubs in decorative pots, creating a welcoming approach. Surrounding greenery adds a touch of nature to the area.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay. The area is very peaceful and quiet which was perfect for switching off for a few days. Olivia and Daniel were really friendly and helpful. Their dog blue who roams about the gardens was an added bonus! Such a lovely temperament. The surrounding area is stunning. Couldn’t recommend this listing enough!

Beautiful Shepherd's Hut in Mid Cornwall

We had a brilliant stay in beautiful surroundings. We wanted peace and quiet and that's exactly what we found - in abundance! Waking up in the morning and seeing horses was another bonus. Local pubs and nearby towns and villages all easily reached by car (mind those narrow country lanes if you are city folk like us :). We loved it though and we left with great memories. Highly recommended!
