Woof, hi, I’m Kobuk the Saint Bernard! Welcome to my log cabin! It’s super cozy, away from the downtown hustle-bustle, and a short walk to the beautiful 16-mile Lost Lake Trail, where I love to hike, wade in streams, and roll in snow. My dog-friendly cabin is in a popular all-season adventure spot for mountain/snow bikers, trail runners, backcountry/cross-country skiers, and snowmachiners. Pack your gear and come on over! We even have ample room for parking boats and other trailered items!

Close to the Seward Harbor and on the road to Exit Glacier, we are nearby all of the action while still amidst wildlife and incredibly scenery. Our plush beds, comfy sofa, fully stocked kitchen, & custom shower make the indoors super comfortable; while our lounge chairs, picnic table, grill & fire pit will help you take in Alaska's beauty.

Moosewood Cabin

Built in the late 1930's, Moosewood Cabin offers clean, comfortable, and cozy authentic Alaskan lodging for two. A great place to base your Seward, Alaska adventures. Summer 2025 will be our 27th season of offering Seward visitors a great place to rest after a full day of exploring the Seward Area. Moosewood is perfect for the minimalist traveler who wants to live large in the great outdoors! No Wi-Fi No pets, smoking/drug use of any kind is permitted on or near the property.

Fiddlehead Yurts

We are not your average getaway. Hidden in the rainforest canopy, spend the afternoon grilling on the porch while watching the eagles fly to and from their nest above the yurt. When your ready to wind down listen to the owls hoot around the fire ring while watching the sunset from exit glacier. A labor of love as my first home, I hope you get a slice of the serenity that comes with unplugging in this magical spot. If you’re lucky you’ll wake up to a moose or two in the pond.

Our property consists of a 4-plex house and two cozy cabins, providing privacy and comfort while still maintaining a serene, quiet atmosphere. For your entertainment, Smart TVs are available for your enjoyment.

We are located on a forested acre. Our yurts are modern with most amenities included. We are located 8 minutes driving time north of Seward, and within walking distance, 8-10 minute walk to the lake or the Bear Lake trailhead, or the Salmon Weir, this is where the salmon come up the creek to spawn in Bear Lake. The Salmon are visible from May thru July.
