Beautiful house, well maintained. Everything worked and kitchen well kitted out. The caretaker of the house was very attentive and could be paid to take you out on a boat ride around the lake or pop to the shops in his tuk tuk. You can organise to have a meal cooked for you this is a nice experience. We had a peaceful two nights in the lake house.

This AirBnB was a gem! The standout features were definitely the incredible beach right in front of the property and the wonderful ventilation throughout the property. The staff truly made our stay special – they were always courteous and so helpful, from arranging transport to preparing tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Seashell Villa Beach Front -BIG Pool -20%Discount

TarasRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The villa itself is great, 4 spacious bedrooms, more well-maintained grounds, a pool that is taken care of every morning. The house was cleaned every other day, with a change of towels. The kitchen has everything you need, dishes, a fire pans, upon arrival there was egg milk salt oil. Washing machine is also available. Among the disadvantages: we were from the middle to the end of April 2025, the non-season began there were very strong waves and our beach did not meet our expectations at all, immediately after the steps there was no sand, as we saw in the photo, but the huge blocks of rocks under which the ocean is raging, that is, to go down these stones in the right vilas 6. We were with 3 kids and it was very problematic for us. After talking to the staff, they explained to us that at this time it is always so, there is a low tide and the sand goes away, then returns. The conclusion of the villa is great but it is recommended to visit in season Separately, I want to note the driver(he also washed the pool in the morning) drove us everywhere, was very patient.
A covered terrace provides a view of a lush garden with palm trees and direct ocean access. A dining table is set with a pitcher, cups, and a bowl of fresh fruit. The bright sea and sky are visible in the background.

Highly, Highly recommend the place! It’s a short distance away from Ambalangoda railway station, easy to locate. The place is absolutely beautiful, very thoughtfully done! The backyard with the lawn is such a peaceful place to just take a breath. The house is tastefully decorated, all basic amenities are available. The host is super responsive, and the caretaker Priyanka, was one of the most helpful people. Breakfast provided was all delicious! Overall, one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in so far, perfect for a quiet peaceful getaway!

come to the beach - stay with us

We had a good time at bakers cottage. Our kids had a good feeling from the beginning. The house is surrounded by a very nice garden and you have to walk only 3 minutes to the beach. The breakfast and dinner, we had, were also very nice.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at James’ villa in Sri Lanka! From the moment we arrived, James went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. His local tips were invaluable - whether it was where to find the best hidden beaches, arranging transport, or recommending authentic local experiences, he made sure we got to see the best of the area. He was also incredibly flexible and friendly, always available when we needed help or advice without ever being intrusive. A very special mention goes to Jeem, who cooked us the most delicious meals during our stay. Every dish was made with so much love and care, and it truly felt like we were eating at home (only better!). His warm, kind presence made our time at the villa even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience - thank you, James and Jeem, for making our stay so special. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.

‏A Magical Stay in the Heart of Nature! ‏This place is absolutely stunning—right in the heart of nature, where you can truly breathe in peace and beauty with every moment. The atmosphere is calm, refreshing, and full of love. ‏Amir and Monika, the hosts, are simply amazing! They were in constant communication with us and responded quickly to anything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality made the experience even better. ‏Also, I have to mention—they have the best granola in the world! Seriously, don’t miss it. ‏Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to relax and reconnect with nature.
