nice private cabin in the woods. very small but accurately described and it had a wonderful porch that wrapped around the house. kitchen and bathroom had everything needed. would definitely recommend

My family and I loved our stay at Sherilynn’s cabin! The cabin has everything you could want and then some! It had plenty of space and everyone appreciated not having to share bedrooms or fight over bathrooms. We really enjoyed eating on the screened in porch, playing in the creek (We watched a snake eat a fish one night) and both fire pits. The cabin is a perfect base camp for adventures in Shenandoah National Park too. Sherilynn was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the woods. Standing at the center of the cabin, you end up surrounded by nature as you are able to look through all the windows and the sky light at the beautiful greenery. It was a sweet sanctuary from the city. I appreciated every detail that enhanced my relaxation and comfort at this cabin from the many amenities to the decor. It’s a perfect escape.

A beautiful cabin, well updated, and well located. Loved that Maybelle’s is just a stone’s throw while at the same time you are nestled in the woods to getaway. Beds were super comfy, and creature comforts were available. Made for an excellent blend of rustic look/location while having new conveyances. Absolutely recommend and also want to say how I appreciated the personal touch of host reaching out personally to ensure everything was going well. Thank you!

This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

This property was absolutely perfect. It was a perfect getaway for me and my husband’s anniversary trip. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The dock was perfect to be able to sit and fish and just dangle your toes in the water. About 1 mile away, you are able to float right down the Shenandoah river directly back to your dock. So much wildlife! You feel so secluded in natural but yet everything is within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beautiful getaway.

My friends and I had such a wonderful time at The Shack for my birthday! The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and we loved being able to cookout on the grill. We spent a lot of our time out by the bonfire and in the hot tub and also ventured out to enjoy the sunset at Muse vineyards. We would definitely book again here!!

We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

We had a great time spending a little time away from it all. You'll be right at home!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, exactly as pictured, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. The host was very responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out.

House was as described and comfortable. It is a peaceful area and our dogs loved having lots of yard to play and run, and patrol for deer. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch rain and shine. It would have been nice to have a Keurig coffee machine but the kitchen is otherwise well equipped. Beds were all comfortable and house was clean. It was nice having a washer/dryer to use. The gas grill and hot tub were both a plus. Great place to visit when you want to bring the pups with you. Not a lot to do in the area but a visit to the Luray Caverns is worth it as well as a ride along Skyline Drive. For little ones, there is a playground behind the local elementary school as well as a nice one in Luray. Walmart, Food Lion, Dunkin, and other stores are conveniently located in Luray. Triple Crown BBQ was a hit for takeout and Chop House Bistro was excellent for dinner out. As is clearly noted in the home, ticks are plentiful so dogs should be checked regularly - we found a few on them daily.

The house was amazing! It was bright and open but with plenty of seating for a group of five/six people and the chairs and couch were very comfortable. So many thoughtful touches. For example, a basket of blankets by the couch, QR code to scan for instructions for the accordian doors, and towels near the front door for the hot tub, are just a few. We all had a blast playing foosball! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the view. From the deck we saw several deer, birds, and one fox. The owners' recommendation to hike around Lake Laura was a good one. Everyone in our group enjoyed the hike. We also enjoyed dinner at Bryce Resort, which you need a reservation for, but don't have to dress up, business casual was good. The Burn Barrel restaurant was close and had a good breakfast. We loved our stay for a bachelorette party! The house was absolutely beautiful and had enough space where we all felt relaxed and able to also breathe a bit.

My husband and I absolutely loved our time in Anastasia's home. It was the perfect location for our staycation and we were able to just be. I feel in love with the efficiency of the kitchen. I HIGHLY appreciated the ability to make real tea and while also providing various really fun ways to make coffee (it's the little things). Thanks again Anastasia!

The location was great, probably the easiest one to get to in my experience. The house was extremely comfortable, and the outdoors aspect of things was great as well.

We loved this property and would definitely go back! The house had everything we needed for the weekend. It was cozy and felt like we were on the trees. That firepit and porch... the best! The weekend we went was really cold or we would have most likely walked to the nearby lake and restaurants.

This was a beautiful home, the kitchen was a dream to cook in. The furniture was nice and comfy . l loved the very clean hot tub . We had so much fun playing games and pool, and not to forget that master shower wow! l would definitely recommend this home for a get off the world vacation and leave your worries behind.
