everything was perfect. We were afraid following the reactions of travelers about the bells and finally we didn't pay much attention to them, even at night. The accommodation was very good for 2 or 3 if there is a young child. Very good restaurant in Tabuaço and the beautiful Douro Valley. Hikes from the village. We recommend.

This accommodation was truly beautiful and had its own charm. The view was breathtaking!

We cannot say enough about how enjoyable, peaceful, and satisfying our stay was in Fontelo at Marina’s house! The house feels spacious and open, with everything you need to be right at home. The views are incredible and the pool and outdoor spaces are functional and enjoyable. I wish I could go back and have another cup of coffee outside, watching the sun rise over the vineyard hills. A 15-minute drive to the Douro River makes tasting the local wines and Port very accessible — just make sure to check the route before following your GPS or you may end up on a dirt farm road :-) Marina is friendly and responsive, always willing to help with questions or suggestions for where to shop and eat. We are already looking forward to our return!

Maria's home is a hidden gem! It is an absolutely beautiful location. The views do not even seem real; the photos do not do it justice. You are nestled in the valley and feel like part of nature. The home itself is so cozy, kitchen with everything you could ever need, and a cozy sitting area. There are large windows all across the valley view side of the house, so you can literally see the gorgeous view from wherever you are. The outside area is equally beautiful. I saved the best for last: the unbelievable hospitality of our hosts. I have never met such kind people. From the welcome upon our arrival, to the communication we had through messaging, we were met with nothing but extreme kindness. Thank you so much, Maria and Maria!! You have my highest recommendation.
