Castle vacation rentals in Baltic Sea

We had a delightful stay in the Inga Suite (room 12), which is on the top-most floor in the tower at Broholm Slot. It has its own living room and it’s own private bathroom (no window in the bathroom) with claw-foot tub. What a beautiful castle set in the serenest of surroundings. We enjoyed the tea and pastry at check-in served by Maya who was a lovely host for tea and dinner. It was nice to have gluten-free options for the meals. Our dinner at the restaurant was exceptional! One of the best meals we’ve had; fish and chicken dishes paired well with the wines they selected. Breakfast buffet was also fantastic: soft-boiled eggs, toast, croissants, coffee, teas, cereal, fruits, honey, jams, sausages, what more could one want? It wasn’t busy during our stay, so it was really nice to feel like we had it almost to ourselves. We took out the row-boat which was a great activity and explored the various living rooms in the castle, the hidden staircase that leads to one of the bedrooms, and the doll floor (creepily fun!). We played pool and visited the on-site museum. All the staff were friendly and nice. The bed was super comfortable and we had a deep sleep. For a one night stay (straight off the plane and drive from Copenhagen airport), it was an exceptional experience! Would love to return some day!

What an amazing experience we had in Broholm Slot!! The place is unique and the staff are amazing! The restaurant is impeccable as well. Keneth is an awesome host and he makes you feel ultra comfortable. We totally recommend this place to both families and couples!

We decided to spoil our family of four by staying at this very special place for a night. It didn’t disappoint. Kenneth greeted us warmly when we arrived and offered all sorts recommendations to enjoy our stay as well as filling us in on some of the rich history of the castle and the surrounding area. We were encouraged to freely explore the castle, museum and grounds which felt like such a treat since aside from a few other people, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The restaurant was truly excellent and made our stay all the more special. Despite being a high end restaurant, they were very accommodating with our children offering them special items from the menu (though our kids tasted and enjoyed everything we adults ate as well!) It’s also a short drive from Lundeborg harbour and beach, a beautiful and family friendly spot to spend the day. We topped off our stay with a tour around the castle moat in a row boat!

It is really an amazing place in Latgale, a hidden gem. Calm and inspirational. Owners invested 20 years of their life to save and improve this architectual wonder. Sustainable lifestile, all items are either restored or re-used, representing different times in the past. Sleeping in the room with so high ceiling was an experience on its own. Home made breakfest, stories and discussions with owners - we felt like a family. Traditional black sauna and cooling down by swimming in Dubna river was a nice touch, as from my childhood memories. I will come back again. Thanks!

Cozy surroundings, very welcoming staff and not least very good food!

Our stay at Broholm Slot was lovely! The room was as pictured, and large and comfortable. The two shared bathrooms were helpful. It's a unique place to stay, with some walking trails to explore and some nice things nearby, like a local winery and distillery. The staff were all really helpful, and allowed us to store our wedding cake in their fridge. We would stay again if in the area!

A really cool experience, a true journey back in time, it is everything you would expect from a castle stay.

A lovely place with all amenities for a short stay. We felt very comfortable in the apartment of the castle. Could enjoy the tranquility and were at the same time quickly at the beach and in the lively Stralsund. The friendly hostess was accessible throughout and had simply organized our check-in. Thank you for everything.

We had a very nice, though unfortunately very rainy, Pentecost weekend in the Viecheln mansion. Beautifully furnished and with a great castle feeling, the accommodation immediately inspired us and we spent quiet hours in the very cozy library and in the winter garden. Our dog also felt very comfortable. We will definitely come back again!

The castle is about 15 minutes away by car from Stralsund. You really have your peace. There are several apartments, but you have not heard from the others. Otherwise, the apartment was in great condition and you had almost anything you needed. Only a regular coffee maker would have been nice

We had a nice break at the turn of the year and were thus able to escape the noisy New Year's Eve soundtracks of the city.

Ever think about staying in a castle? Here's your chance! We absolutely loved staying in the family manor. Nerijus and his wife Inga are amazing hosts. Very easy to communicate with, delicious instagram worthy breakfasts, and their kids were absolutely adorable. My children loved playing with them! They have a giant trampoline outside. My kids could spend the whole morning jumping and exploring the front yard. Their kids shared their playroom and toys. They were so sweet! The home decor is straight out of a magazine. The art, couches, tables, everything is perfect. I'm impressed at how they're managed to keep everything so clean and free from kids damaging tendencies. Saying that, this might not be the right Airbnb for you if you tend to wreck a home and make it your own during a stay. Be mindful that you are sharing their home, so be respectful of their property and shared quarters. The third floor had a massive bathtub jacuzzi that our family shared. We loved looking out the windows for sunrise. Thank you for an incredible stay. We highly recommend this place!

I felt very comfortable in the Viecheln mansion! The beautiful rooms that you can use in the mansion are also special. You can move freely through the salon, the conservatory, the library, the large castle garden... In the salon there are two grand pianos and a large chessboard. Then there's a pool room (great) and there's plenty to explore everywhere. Everything was well maintained and absolutely clean. I had the secretary's room in the basement, it is small but original. The bed was also particularly cozy, with a good mattress. I could write more positive things, but I think everyone should find out for themselves. Really a special place! A small but tolerable shortcoming is the WiFi and the network. 💯 % referral!

In fact, I can only confirm that I had a wonderful time in the mansion, which I enjoyed very much. The lovingly designed house invites you to linger and make yourself comfortable everywhere - even and especially in less optimal weather. The atmosphere is automatically transferred to the guests, who start talking to each other. You will depart well rested and satisfied. Thanks to Kevin and his team! Glad to come back...

We spent a very varied week in the Zarchlin area and had a direct and stimulating exchange with Marianne and Daniel in addition to the beautiful accommodation, which were available for all our questions. The small kiosk in the house and the large vegetable bed have made self-catering easier and enriched us as bicycle tourists. The description of the estate, renovated with care and passion, matches the reality we encountered.

We were warmly welcomed and were guided through the house once. The property is beautiful and every room is renovated and furnished with a lot of love for detail. Our apartment was very nice, just like the pictures. We slept great in the bed and just felt comfortable. The sauna we booked for both evenings and we enjoyed to the fullest. The breakfast also booked was also very very nice. All in all, an all-round successful vacation with potential for repetition.

I highly recommend this as the place to stay. I myself had a room, in the lower area of the mansion, with a shared bathroom (women and men separated) and a shared kitchen. Everything very clean. Breakfast was prepared with love, assistant Uschi was one of the nicest and loveliest people I have met in a long time. The stately rooms and the garden invite you to linger.
