Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Ballston Spa

We had a great time staying at L.J’s place. Our children loved app that there was to do and we took daily walks down to the frozen lake. Lots of fun sledding and relaxing!

This place is such a gem! They thought of everything and so many special touches. We stayed here after taking the boys to Cooperstown for baseball and it did not disappoint. We hope to come again!

The house and especially the location was wonderful. Very quiet surroundings and great nature. Contacting the very nice hosts was easy and uncomplicated. We found the house as it was described in the advertisement. The furnishings also left nothing to be desired. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would want to request the house again at any time if we come back to this beautiful area.

We had a great time during our stay! The indoor pool was the real highlight—clean, well-maintained, and the surround sound music made it extra fun. The entire property was spotless and clearly well cared for. We even enjoyed S’mores at the outdoor fire pit. Chantale and Toni were incredibly accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Highly recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

This place is beautiful, a truly amazing and special home. It's located in a very serene area, a short drive to SPAC and Saratoga. The house is impressive, yet comfortable and welcoming. Every detail is thoughtful, and it is impeccable top to bottom, inside and out. The hosts were accommodating and generous. It made for a very fun, enjoyable and memorable family weekend.

Kristin and Bret have a wonderful spot to stay and relax. The loft style suite is perfect for a small family or friends to stay comfortably. It is clean and cozy and the highlight is definitely the window seat looking back on the woods behind the property. I stayed with my daughter for just tonight so we could explore Saratoga Springs. It is not too far to feel close to town, but definitely outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Bret and Kristin were very responsive to all messages and gave great recommendations for local food and attractions.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Dave and Kathy's. We only stayed one night while attending a concert at SPAC so didn't have a chance to take full advantage of the place, like the yard or the pool, but the place was perfect for us. Very comfortable and relaxing. We appreciated the waters in the fridge and the muffins. We also enjoyed talking with Dave, who was extremely nice and accommodating. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The Yellow Door Inn was exactly what I needed for my little getaway from the craziness of my life!! You are surrounded by art, and comfort that is difficult to find. I felt at peace the moment I arrived and my doggos also loved the large yard and access to the Salem Art Works!! Klara and Greg are great hosts, they responded very quickly and were so so kind to me during my stay. If you are staying in Salem, I would 1000% recommend the Yellow Door Inn. You will not regret it! I know I will most definitely be back next time I stay in the area. It was hard for me to leave and head back home, because I felt I was already home…

Leo and Michelle were very responsive with any questions we had, and even reached out to offer us an early check in. The location was close enough to our places of interest, while still being slightly rural. The place looked just like the pictures and we felt right at home. We will stay there again when we return!

The games played great, the decor was packed with personality, and the vibe was peaceful yet fun. Quiet, quaint location with a few great walkable restaurant options nearby. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and respectful of our space. We’d absolutely stay again!

Excellent stay! The host was very responsive and friendly. The location was ideal! It was very close to downtown Saratoga as well as the beautiful state park. The accommodations were exactly as advertised, and they had a wonderful binder of information outlining everything we needed to know. We especially appreciated the private entrance and the ease of getting into the space. Thank you so much! We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

The house is spacious and has four bedrooms, which really hosts a large family. It is very clean when checking in. Some amenities and utilities have age but they are super well maintained. I highly recommend this place if you just would like to have a stay when traveling in upper NY.

We found that the place was exactly as described. Everything was very good. We loved your recliners out on the back, looking out the sliding glass doors overlooking the lake. It was very peaceful calm. We were able to get one fire in on Friday night. At the campfire was so peaceful and quiet and serene. Looking across the lake at the cabins with their lights on was just a beautiful relaxing time. We want to thank Barry and Shirley very much and I’m about 99% sure that we will be back again. Thanks again.

Our second time staying! We absolutely love it here, everything meets your expectations and beyond. Kristina is so easy to communicate with, helpful and overall amazing. We caught lots of fish off the kayaks, nd enjoyed smores by the fire - we are already planning our return back for next year!

This is, hands down, the best place I’ve stayed since I’ve been traveling to NY. Brian is a great host and the property is amazing. Dig the off grid location and setup. Tranquility and peace is what you seek? This is it.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The views from the home and the surrounding area were amazing and we found ourselves just slowing down a lot on our drive there to take it all in. Our favorite parts were the hot tub which was so relaxing especially with the backdrop of nature behind us and the amazing kitchen where we cooked all of our meals each day. Most things were around 20 minutes out so it was a very stay at home stay so we really appreciated the effort they made at making the home the main attraction. The host was very communicate and helped solve a minor issue we had right away which was a great experience. Our least favorite part was having to leave! Overall we look forward to coming back again in the future to such a cozy home.

The cabin is set in a lovely woodland setting, very close to Saratoga Springs. It is clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The communication with Jason was clear and timely. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Highly recommended for your stay! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for the Belmont Stakes. We are a family of four this time and 2 queen beds were perfect for our stay. The house is easy to find and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The grounds are a perfect camp vibe but with central air conditioning. Two horses came to check us out right away. The third came later, a very spicy lady who snorted and stomped, letting us know or chatting time was over. We had deer visitors, bunnies all over and 2 black and white cats who kept close eyes on our comings and goings. Bathroom was spotless, towels galore and toiletries at the ready in the shower. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Plenty of every kitchen tool and condiments. There’s a country store at the end of the road and a Hannaford as you head in. We can’t wait to stay again!

The cabin was the perfect first destination for our New England trip!
