Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Ballater

Beautifully located house near Aberlour, about 40 minutes walk into the town for the nearest shops and pub so a car is recommended, although the walk is lovely. By car it's 10 minutes to Aberlour along a country lane. House was well equipped, modern, comfortable, clean and had great views of the surrounding farm and countryside. The farm shop was an added bonus with meat from the farm we enjoyed on a BBQ one evening. The host is extremely friendly and responded quickly in our conversations pre arrival. Perfect spot for a family or group of friends exploring Speyside. Thank you!

We had a great long weekend at Lewis Cottage! Great location - only 5 mins drive to Pitlochry which has some lovely walks and cafes. The cottage is spacious & has a lovely garden. Very peaceful location with lovely views. The house was very clean & had everything we needed. Look forward to staying again.

We have stayed at Black Rocks several times and have never been dissapoined. Loren is lovely and very responsive. The village is very welcoming and we would highly recommend the Anchor Hotel for food and local atmosphere. A very special place, just perfect!

Georgina’s place was really beautiful- it’s like an interior decorator had been at work! Just lovely. Every part of the cottage was stunning. Massive, well appointed kitchen, sitting room like something from a magazine and two beautiful bedrooms with very large en suite bathrooms. Again, beautifully decorated- really felt like a very up market boutique hotel. My sister said it was the best Airbnb she’d ever stayed in. Really lovely countryside all around and a great place to use as a base for our long walks. The fact you can bring your dog is so great. Close enough to Aldi to stock up but secluded enough to feel rural. Georgina was very helpful - had left milk, bread, eggs, jam etc for us. Such a lovely touch. I’d love to stay here again.

This is a lovely and spacious cottage with an amazing location! The small village is very relaxing and quiet, just what we were looking for. There are so many different types of landscapes to hike around very close by, marshes, lakes, forests, rocky mountains, heather fields, grassy pastures... The house has A Lot of helpful maps and brochures to pick the perfect route (with options for all abilities) if you have not come prepared. The location is very convenient as in 15-20 min you can reach the main motorway that cuts through the Highlands. It's only a bit more than an hour away from Inverness and about two hours away from Glencoe. Though with the national park at your doorstep you are already spoiled for choice and don't need to go far to enjoy some of the best landscapes in Scotland. Bridie was attentive and easy-going. She provided clear instructions and a lot of suggestions for local activities and amenities. We wish we could live in the cottage forever 😊

Absolutely beautiful cottage in the heart of Dufftown. Close to everything and Forbes was always there if we had any questions or needed any recommendations.

Clover Cottage was absolutely magical. The house is private, nestled in gorgeous Scottish countryside, perfect for long walks with the dogs and really, truly escaping. The house was incredibly cozy, and we loved the hot tub. The nearest shops are a bit of a drive, but we just stocked up and nestled in. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and quiet!

Pristine and super comfortable hideaway in beautiful surroundings. The place is better than the photos portray. Very very comfortable bed and lovely & bright living space. Very private including a lovely little outdoor area to relax in the sunshine. The shed with freezer and dryer was very useful for storing bikes. Leanne & Darrin were very responsive and helpful. The location is superb for exploring right from the door or for going further afield. We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year. Such a restorative place to stay.

Elaine's house is adorable, with a personality of its own. Everything is clean and nice, you feel good right away in this house. Elaine is welcoming and responsive. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. The added bonus is the COOP store 300m away open 7/7 from 6am to 10pm…. Very convenient…

Karen's place was everything & more. Walkable to restaurants, shop's, city center and the river Ness. The flat was very clean and had everything one would need. If I needed to talk with Karen, she responded quickly. I would definitely stay there again and recommend highly.

Elaine was an amazing host. Very friendly, helpful & responsive. The apartment is lovely - nicely decorated and clean. The kitchen had everything I needed. As in the listing & other reviews, it is indeed a great location - quiet but close to city center. It’s just a few minutes walk to town and the train station. I was under the weather so plan to return to Inverness and I would definitely stay in this apartment again if available.

Could not rate this property high enough!!The communications were clear, proactive, friendly and very helpful. The place was spotless, spacious and very tastefully decorated. The view was spectacular of the water. Beds and couches were comfy. The guide for local attractions and restaurants was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

One of the best AirBnB I have stayed in! Fraser was very communicative and provided clear instructions 48 hours prior to check-in. The place itself was very clean, almost like I was the first person to stay in it. Useful handbook gave lots of great information about local amenities and was only a short 20 minute walk into the main village. Very impressed with it all and would stay here again.

Both Linda and George were great hosts. Friendly, well predisposed, in short: excellent. As for the property, it is very comfortable and pleasant, and it provides a lot of peace to those who stay there. I would definitely visit them again!

Very well equipped and comfortable accommodation with everything you need provided. Spacious flat with lots of homely features and plenty of room for our party of adults. Had the most amazing stay at Aldon Lodge, was wowed from the very beginning driving in through the pastures of sheep & lambs. Such a peaceful location that felt so remote and private but not a far drive from town, it’s the best of both worlds. The apartment was so cozy and had some of the most comfortable bedding and pillows I’ve experienced yet. Gorgeous views out of all the windows with light blocking shades if you want to sleep in, this place has every amenity you might need. The host was so helpful and provided very detailed instructions ahead of time so that everything went smoothly. I could have spent my whole vacation just staying inside the apartment and enjoying the area, hope to come back and stay again!

A lovely room with 2 comfortable beds. A bathroom with shower. Cooking facilities consist of a microwave and kettle with tea and coffee and cups and cutlery provided. A fridge is aso provided Spectacular views over Loch Tay in a quiet location.

My stay at Ruth and Dave's air b&b was fantastic. Communication went very smooth and I was lucky that I could get in before 15.00 hrs as the location had been cleaned a day earlier (no guests the night before). The front door of the house looked a bit battered and the staircase was old and quite dirty (apartment is on second floor) but once in the apartment it was all welcoming, clean, new, stylish and fresh. Lots of different teas to choose from. Good information folder. Spotless bathroom and nice bedroom. Wifi worked perfectly. The only tip I have got is: it would be good if the curtains in the bedroom would be a dark colour / heavier quality as in the mornings you are waken up very early as a lot of light comes into the bedroom once the sun comes up. Walking tip: theres a great walking path all the way along the river Dee. Thank you Ruth!
