Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ballard, Seattle

We loved Janet's apartment - it has an unmistakable Phinney Ridge vibe. The garden entrance is also gorgeous. Janet was super helpful and easy to communicate with. 10/10

We were in Seattle for our grandson's bar mitzvah and found this place because it was close to where the service was happening. We really love this house. It had everything we needed, including and cooking pans and opportunities for recycling and composting. The beds were very comfortable and the master bedroom upstairs with the king bed was so relaxing and sleep Able. There was even a highchair for our one year-old granddaughter who came by for dinner. The kitchen was small, but we were able to make enchiladas for a big group of people with the things that we found their plus we got two 9 x 13 glass pans from IKEA that we left there for the next person. At first, after we had been in the house and left and came back, we could not remember the door code and reaching out to Airbnb was a nightmare. At one point, we got a message that we would have to wait 24 hours to try again. But then I remembered the code and we got in, but it was a bit stressful to say the least.

This was a great spot to stay while visiting my daughter at U Dub. Walking distance to Green Lake which is beautiful! Safeway and a neighborhood gem, Mojito-both at arms reach. The apartment had everything you’d need-Lee really thought of everything! I’d return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic property in on a quiet street, yet close to all the shops, cafes and attractions in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. Codi is a terrific host and always responded promptly to any questions. We will definitely rent this home again in the future.

We were in Seattle to attend a graduation and found the location excellent. Accessible for my elderly parents…Very peaceful next to green space and walkable to Discovery Park..which is incredible for nature walking and bird watching..Lisa was very responsive to requests for extra toiletry items but the unit was also well stocked..Staying here made our trip to Seattle as we enjoyed having the extra space..we also made good use of the well stocked kitchen .. thanks

Irmgard, What a pleasure meeting you was, excited to have found such a gem. The location and hospitality were beyond amazing! A great local feel but close and accessible to the bustling city. Reading the guest books that date back to 2003 warmed my heart and I hope you know how many lives you have brought joy and how many journeys you have aided. Any future guest reading this Bambino’s coffee shop down the way was so yummy and such a vibe. Also definitely recommend the ferry to and back from Bainbridge Island. Kelly and Will were incredibly helpful, considerate, and super responsive. They made staying at their place as easy as possible. Their space was clean and beautiful, had a big grass backyard, and was perfect for our two families to stay with three little ones. Easy parking, quiet neighborhood, easy drive from many attractions and parks. We did not meet Kelly and Will but everything was exactly as they said — total hosting pros!

Great location with all the amenities you need and beautiful area. Was there for three nights felt very comfortable & extremely safe. Stephanie was a wonderful host and very friendly. She shared lots of good info on places to eat & things to do. Highly recommended if you need a place in the area that’s clean and close to all the good stuff! Hopefully available for my next visit as it would be my 1st choice to stay there again.

We keep coming back! It's comfy and cozy for two, and it's convenient for visiting Ballard or getting to downtown Seattle. The description and pictures of the space are accurate, and we appreciate the well-laid out space.

Nicole's hospitality was the best we've received so far! The space was quiet, coffee ready for the morning and she was very responsive. she also let us know about a pod of orcas moving through the sound! if we go back to Seattle, we'll stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim’s place, only a 15 minute drive to touristy things in downtown Seattle, and got to have a taste of the local community with the great recommendations Tim gave!

Scott’s place was a PERFECT home base in Ballard! He was extremely communicative and the location was ideal for getting around — a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Ballard, and convenient access to the 40 and 44 buses. The unit was quiet and had everything you could need to settle in. The bed was comfortable, the shower water pressure was great, and the kitchen had every appliance you would want. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Julie's place was absolutely perfect! It had every amenity you could need, was super cute, wonderful neighborhood with a great park. Julie was also great with communication. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The one thing i would note is that if you're like me and have sensory issues the noise from the tv upstairs might bother you. (I did not say anything about this to Julie because i know it's a me issue) if i ever come back that way which hopefully i will i would love to stay again. Everything was wonderful and you created the perfect home away from home. Every night we actually felt like we were going "home" thanks again for your hospitality!!

You can see from the pictures that Karla’s place is beautifully decorated with whimsy and joy! We cooked in the lovely, well stocked kitchen and loved doing art together at the huge dining table, set in a room full of windows that seems hung among the trees! With so many Airbnb’s (especially in Seattle, for some reason) run by a company, often soulless and barely adequate, this home was the opposite: exquisite, every detail attended to, bathroom and kitchen generously stocked, and around every corner a surprise design element We walked the neighborhood and slept soundly in the bed. I hope to stay here again!

One of my favorite air b n b experiences. Absolutely perfect. The location couldn’t be better. It is surrounded by delicious restaurants and above a delish breakfast and coffee place. But it’s so quiet. The apartment is so peaceful and bright but with black out curtains for sleep. The bed and fold out were super comfy. Just truly perfect stay.

Great location, 5 min from Gasworks Park and 15min walk to some coffee shops!

We really enjoyed the stay at Brianne’s place, great location surrounded by nice restaurants and cafes, the place is very cozy and clean. We never get tired of the view of the balcony! Highly recommended!!!

We had the most wonderful time staying at Lauren’s place over the long holiday weekend! The condo was lovely, very tidy, and we slept like babies in the super cozy bed. There were plenty of thoughtful touches throughout like flossers/q-tips in the bathroom, candies in the kitchen (a very welcome treat after our travel day), and there were even earplugs in the bedroom 🤣. We also really loved the neighborhood—LOTS of cute restaurants and shops, we really enjoyed the ice cream shop across the street and the yakitori spot a few blocks down. The weather was beautiful while we were there, so we even got to enjoy a beer out on the balcony in the sun. We had a rental car and it was easy to find parking every day (we parked near the high school and never had an issue). Highly recommend booking here for a great stay in Seattle!

Really lovely stay at Rachel's place. Best parts for me was the location (easy walks to all the Winslow has to offer and on/off the ferry to head to the city. The other good parts were the bed (comfy) and the landscaping around the space - very well done. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay, layout/decor/location can't be beat! Maynard and Lyle were very communicative. We had zero problems, but I have no doubt they'd have gone above and beyond quickly if we had. Book this Air B&B if you're looking for something right downtown and are over the hotel hunt! 10/10 would recommend and will stay again if we find ourselves in Seattle!

Lessley is one of the best hosts I have had so far at Airbnb! She is responsive and proactive. She helps address our questions and requests real quick and kindly. She is detail oriented as well as customer first! The place is neat, equipped thoughtfully and feels like home. It’s quite walkable to many nice restaurants nearby too. We particularly enjoyed the RockCreek and Le Coin both were wonderful! We feel grateful that Lessley had us and helped us every single question and need throughout the five day stay! Really enjoyed it and hope to come back again. Thank you very much Lessley!

Had a very comfortable stay at Ted’s place! Ted was super responsive and flexible and the apartment was easily walkable to the metro station and nearby grocery stores, bars, and restaurants.
