Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bacton

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. Marian was a fabulous host and also Michelle, who oversees the running of Old Chapel House. We arrived to find the table in the kitchen all set out for dinner. Great fun was had in the evening playing croquet in the fabulous garden and then games around the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in each of the rooms was a lovely touch. Knowing one of my sons was home for our family wedding at Waxham Barn, Marian had arranged an Australian pineapple cake for us to enjoy, together with locally sourced marmalade and apple juice. It was also helpful to find plenty of items such as tea, coffee, condiments etc. My one request to my family was for a slice of sourdough bread, delivered on the Saturday morning, be left for me after having my hair and makeup done. Sadly, it had all been demolished! The house clearly was a previously well loved family home. We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic stay at the Middle Barn! The space was comfortable and well-equipped, making it perfect for our family. Our children especially loved the football table and selection of toys, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. The thoughtful welcome touches—homemade cake, fresh daffodils, and a chilled bottle of Prosecco—made us feel instantly at home. The barn’s location was ideal, providing easy access to several beautiful Norfolk beaches, allowing us to explore the area with ease. Also 15 minutes away from BeWILDerwood. We would highly recommend this stay and hope to return!

The first and greatest thing about this place is Edward, our host. The level of open communication and kindness given to us helped make planning the long weekend so much easier and stress-free. We had some complications on our side, but by being open and honest with Edward well-enough in advance, we were able to discuss a solution that respected everybody involved. I met him in person on our day of arrival and had a lovely catch-up. Edward, I'll keep thanking you again for everything you did for us. The place itself was perfect for us. Admittedly we spent most of our long weekend out-and-about, but having this as a base-camp was a comfort. It was a very warm weekend, but everyone agrees it was cool and comfortable enough to sleep in. The plentiful amenities were greatly appreciated, including the coffee kit, and everywhere felt spacious enough that no room felt too small for our whole group. We're all very happy.

We had the most wonderful time staying at The Little Barn in Topcroft. It is a well kept and comfortable cottage, with all the amenities you could want. We loved the location as it is tucked out of the way of the busiest areas but still well connected to the coast and towns/cities for trips out. Hannah is a superb host who will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and settled (providing us with some delicious home made apple juice too!). We will definitely be returning and would recommend!

We had the most lovely family holiday here. With a 3 and 1 year old this property had everything we needed to make us feel all feel right at home. A cot, high chair, bib, black out binds, you name it. The river and decking at the bottom of the garden was just so peaceful, our go to spot. We watched nesting swans and ducks, we all loved it. Thank you Hannah for having us. You have a beautiful Airbnb!!

We booked Oak Barn to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with all the family. We were blessed with a long weekend of beautiful weather. In fact it was so nice that we ate nearly all our meals al fresco in the garden which was fully enclosed meaning that our two dogs could wander in and out of the house. Rosie thoughtfully messaged us when we arrived to give us pointers on how to keep the house cool. The Barn is spacious and spotlessly clean with quality bed linen, towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The layout in the house is perfect for extended or multigenerational families. It’s situated in a quiet country lane but within a few minutes you can be in Wroxham and the coast within half an hour. There was an excellent house manual with lots of suggestions for things to do but the weather was so warm that we tended to stay fairly local. All in all this was one of the best properties we have stayed in.

We had a wonderful stay at Horizon house. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. So close to the beach and amenities! Great having space for 2 cars off street parking too, made unloading/ loading much easier.

A lovely place to stay, very quiet especially at night, cosy, clean and comfortable. Hannah was very helpful with her instructions and suggestions. It was a quick walk into North Walsham with all its facilities and a short train journey to Cromer with the dog was a unique experience for us. There was only one downside for us and this is purely our personal taste, we would have preferred a microwave rather than a coffee machine in the kitchen. We would happily stay there again if we are visiting Norfolk.

Really nice apartment with a good location. Easy access to town and beach. Beautifully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bit pricey for this part of Norfolk, but given the quality of the premises, probably worth it. Only downside was a bit of road noise in the bedrooms first thing.

Great apartment for 2 and our small dog, Daisy. Lovley furnishings, quiet and very comfortable. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed . The location is perfect being in the centre of town. The price is very reasonable and the addition of an off street parking space was great 😊.

This was our first airbnb. Easy to communicate with Jody. Lovely clean accommodation. Great location for the town and beach to Sherringham. Would recommend. Susan and Arthur.

Eilish's place was amazing! We stayed for couples of nights and we have everything we need and more. Eilish made us feel very welcoming. We will stay there again, 100% sure!

One of the best bnb’s I have ever stayed at complete with breakfast provided. It was a real home away from home staying here. Do peacefull and relaxing and the rear garden and waterfall just topped off a very quiet, peaceful stay. Slept like a baby. And the hosts were delightful people.

Ray and Barbara were perfect hosts. We were met by Barbara a d shown round. The Nest is peaceful and private. Great for walking the coastal path and visiting local towns and National Trust properties. Mundesley is a quiet village with local shops and a good bus link. The property is spotless and clean with everything you would need. It is spacious and a great base for exploring. We had a lovely stay there.

A super apartment within easy walking distance of the train station, restaurants and all of the attraction Norwich has to offer. The apartment is really cosy with a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Access is really secure and easy. Although I had no need for a parking space, this is a great service that the apartment offers. Highly recommended!

We had such a lovely stay. The flat is very clean, nicely decorated and the outdoor area is beautiful. The sauna was fab and we loved taking a dip in the water. Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we've stayed at this apartment and we've really enjoyed both times. It is superbly located just off Cromer centre, so easy access to shops and restaurants, but also very quiet. The apartment is well appointed and spacious and feels very homely. Fran and David are responsive and friendly in their communication. Overall: excellent.

Great flat, location and host

Marisol’s spacious annex apartment was a great place to stay whilst I was in Norwich for just one night. It’s very close to the hospital and UEA. Marisol was a lovely host and the check-in/out process was super easy.

Check-in and communication was perfect. The flat an garden are wonderful, there is everything you need and more. When I arrived, there were cookies, chips and a bottle of wine plus a nice card greeting me. There was a shelf full of novels to choose from. The house is very near the seafront and the town centre. I hugely enjoyed my stay and warmly recommend Emma's house. Free parking in the street to be found.

Joanna's place is perfectly located in the centre of Cromer. Its a 2 min walk to the beach and food places close by. It looks down onto a pub which was a little noisy with the windows open. This didnt bother us but may bother others. The flat is spacious and beautifully presented.
