House vacation rentals in Backbarrow

We had a lovely little getaway, the caravan had everything needed for a short or long trip away. The only thing that I could fault was the curtains in the single-bedroom, there is a light outside which pierces through and makes the bedroom very light. Apart from that, great stay and we’d definitely return again

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

We stayed for 2 nights at Delanie's property to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The house and it's facilities are amazing. The pool Hot Tub and bar area really make this an amazing place to celebrate birthday's and the like. Warm welcome and a great hamper upon check in and always on hand for any issues. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a luxury break away. Will be looking to return in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very private with a fantastic view from the living room. Great location allowing easy access to nearby pubs and to the ferry. We were surrounded by wildlife, and particularly enjoyed seeing the family of baby rabbits hop around the cottage garden each evening.

The Fell Barn was absolutely lovely - perfect for a family of 4. The welcome hamper was amazing, including eggs, milk, orange juice, fruit, cheese, coffee.. the list goes on. The location was perfect for exploring both the Lakes and the coast, and Ulverston (the local town) has plenty of useful shops and restaurants / pubs. The owners were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips of places to go / see and local events that were on. Our dog was very safe in the secured garden and we were welcome to use the next door field at that time. A perfect stay - thank you.

An amazing property and beautifully presented. Everybody we met in passing on arrival was so helpful and clearly took pride in the property and wanted to make sure we were ok and happy. Sarah communicated with me quickly and clearly from booking to check in day and could not be more attentive. The location was perfect. So quiet and peaceful. We stayed in June for 4 nights as a family group of four adults for a birthday getaway and had the most wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, characterful and peaceful, absolutely immaculate on arrival and we especially loved the outdoor area with the seating and BBQ - we were blessed with warm and sunny weather so we could use it! We were very thankful to be able to bring our dogs as well and want to say an extra thank you for allowing that - great communication from host Craig. There is parking for three cars and it's only a short drive (approx 15-20mins) to Bowness - we did a boat trip from here one day. We also ate one night at the Mason's Arms down the road and had a very nice meal. Overall 10/10 from us!

We had such a lovely stay in Cartmel! The house was perfect for our weekend, kitchen filled with everything we needed and the house is so close to lots of beautiful walks. Really appreciated how dog friendly it was, Dudley, our dog also had a lovely trip! Thanks again!

We had a very restful and enjoyable stay at 32 Oversands Drive. Excellent communications with the owners throughout. Such a spacious, well-equipped and beautiful home. Felt relaxed the moment we stepped inside. The well-stocked garden, full of late summer flowers, provided a perfect spot for sitting. Great views across Morecambe Bay to the hills on the other side; you can see the weather coming and going across the great sweep of sky. Grange over Sands such a friendly place. Lovely walks along the promenade overlooking the saltmarsh and estuary, beautiful old station, plenty of independent shops. Nearby Cartmel well worth a visit. We had booked Predator Experience for our son's 21st birthday, and had a great time there, getting to know the wolves! It's also not too long a drive to the Lakes: we climbed Harter Fell and Loughrigg, visiting Coniston and Ullswater as well. A perfect holiday, made really special by having such a comfortable, spacious and welcoming place to stay. Thank you.

This Airbnb is wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect - within close walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of downtown Sedbergh, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot on the edge of town right on a great walking path. It's also a good location in the sense that it's close enough to the Lake District to use as a base for exploring that area, as well as being in the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the photos are accurate. It's a very nice place with no real negatives to mention.

Lovely cottage in a quiet setting, about 25 mins from both Coniston and Windermere. The cottage is comfortably furnished with all the kitchen essentials for your break away. Steve was very quick to respond to messages both before the holiday giving us some helpful tips on places to go and during our visit as needed. We had a very relaxed time there with plenty to do in the surrounding area's.

Excellent host and super helpful in terms of offering early check in and late check out. The place is beautiful. She had kept all the necessities handy. So 5 ⭐️

Diana's property provided everything needed home from home. I can only describe the accommodation as stunning the photos did not do it justice. From cleanliness to comfort it is top notch. We will be booking for next year for the same event without hesitation, there is plenty to do in Ulverston we did not have enough time this trip to dobas muchbascwe would have liked. Diana provided clear concise instructions to ensured a smooth arrival her response to any questions if needed were friendly and quick. Thank you again.
