Stayed at The Spice Wood Resort and it was an amazing experience! The property is stunning, full of greenery and calm vibes — perfect for couples or anyone looking to relax. The ambience was so peaceful, and the rooms were just lovely. A big thanks to Mr. Pronoy for being such a great host — super friendly and made us feel right at home. We had a great stay at Soman's place. It is a cozy space with all essential amenities included, located in a small farm which makes for an interesting walk with Soman. The overall location is also decent (~10 kms from Sultan Bathery, and reasonable eating options, chemist, general provisions etc. at the nearby junction ~500m away - special shout-out to Mina's Food Court!). Soman was very warm and welcoming, and the breakfast he served up was typical of Keralite households - felt very much at home! Being a local, he had in-depth insight on the tourist attractions nearby and helped us plan the limited time we had available in Wayanad. Staying in the midst of a lush, green farm, he gave us a heads up on Do's/ Don'ts for a comfortable stay - which was quite thoughtful of him. If we had some more time we would have liked to have had some more interactions with Soman himself - I'm sure there is potential for interesting conversations there :-)

Staying in Wayanad was one of the best decisions we made, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience! Aswathi and her mother were incredibly kind, warm, and responsive throughout our stay. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely outstanding—home-cooked meals that were so delicious, we found ourselves preferring it over any restaurant! Aunty’s cooking was beyond words, and we were spoiled with an array of freshly prepared breakfast, fruits, lunch, snacks, and dinner, every day. The homestay itself was a gem. Surrounded by lush greenery, tranquil atmosphere, the location was perfect. It was the ideal retreat, offering both peace and beauty. The place was impeccably clean, and the setting made it even more special. Aswathi and her mom were attentive and quick to address any minor issues we had and arranged transport options to explore Wayanad. Awesome place to stay & host is very supportive. Place to stay is very clean, calm & very good for family. They provide basic stuff everyday like eggs, milk, bread, biscuit & also give seasonal fruits available on the farm. There will be firecamp & barbeque if you wish to use. Little away from the city, there is no noise of vehicles & also very less people around. Host will be available everytime whenever you need any help. Maid will be available everyday for cleaning except Sunday. If you need anything from town, host will arrange a person to deliver it to your stay. Town is also very nearby if you need anything.

Talking Trees is a true escape from the chaos of city life—a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The setting is stunning: bamboo groves, paddy fields, and a serene riverside. Prema’s hospitality is warm and genuine, and the home-cooked food is outstanding. Our dog was as happy as we were - free to explore and relax. The space is beautifully designed and thoughtfully maintained, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. If you're looking to breathe, rest, and just be, this is the place.

Harmony farm was wonderful, with the treehouse right in the middle of tea plantation and forest area. The location was secluded and quiet; and the room was neat and clean, with basic amenities. The two best parts of our stay were - 1. The food. Amazing authentic Kerala cuisine from Sanoop and Kochuthresia. We had such wholesome conversations with them and felt at home. Their hospitality, genuine concern and recommendations of places to go around was such a breath of fresh air. 2. Fireflies! As soon as the sun set, the forest area in the back lit up with fireflies which was just magical. Overall, we had an lovely time here and it was a weekend tucked away in peace and comfort.
