Monthly Rentals in Aure sur Mer

We’ve visited the area many times staying in BnBs, hotels and hostels. We decided on Airbnb this time and Les Mouettes was just perfect. Caroline and Brice have a lovely place which they look after with pride. It’s very comfortable, spotlessly clean and has everything you need to feel at home. Caroline met us to show us round and as we left, Brice was mowing the grass. A short drive to the Super-U supermarket just outside Port-en-Bessin on the D514 with everything you need. Some nice restaurants in the port. A brilliant base to get to ALL the D-Day landing beaches, memorials and museums as well as Bayeux. If you’re coming from the UK by ferry to Ouistreham, the D514 takes you through the coastal towns and takes less than an hour, familiarises you with the towns along the route and, conveniently takes you all the way to the right-turn onto Rue d’ecole and Les Mouettes! …… and you can call, en route, at the Super-U (a left off the one roundabout outside Port-en-Bessin) to stock up!

we (3 adults, 2 children) stayed in the cottage for 2 nights and used it as a base for excursions in the area around the landing beaches. The view and location are the very best of the accommodation, although there was everything else we needed in the accommodation. We enjoyed it very much!

Place was very clean very organized and very well centered around the Normandy World War II sites
