Relaxing lodge in the woods

CharlotteRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a great week at Charissa’s place. Everything was as listed. Charissa has thought of everything you need to have a comfortable stay. This place is very large and allows for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We will stay here again, if we are ever in the area. Thanks Charissa for the plentiful fruit basket and delicious blueberry muffins. Such a nice breakfast treat!

The Shorebird - ocean views & beach - St Andrews

AlieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful weekend staying at Brianne’s place in Chamcook. This was our second time visiting & we were so excited to be back. The home had everything we could need and our hosts were very responsive and helpful. We were travelling with our children and appreciated all of the board games, toys & baby gear at the house. Highlight of the weekend was how much sea glass we found during walks on the beach! Definitely recommend!

Amazing stay in an adorable, well furnished and colorful cottage close to the sea. The cottage itself has everything you need, including a wonderful hot tube. The location is just perfect, very quite and close to the sea as of the main touristic attractions. Last but not least, Sean and his husband were fantastic and so friendly - they made our stay even better. We Will definitely come back :)

Family Ties Vacation Home - Hopkins House

TimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was definitely a favourite BNB for us and if you are in Twillingate, we'd highly recommend it! Not only was the place so cozy, bright, and even more spacious than in the photos, but the hosts are great. They had gone above and beyond in providing essentials. The location is a 5-10 minute drive to main tourist draws in Twillingate - all very easy to get to. A great Edge trail just up the road too that can walk to. The bonus for us was the big iceberg, visible from the front windows, that we woke up to in a different spot every day. It was stunning, and instead of worrying about where to park to go see it and the others in the cove, they were right there, just a short stroll down the lane.

Bedrooms were upstairs as was the bathroom. Main floor has the kitchen, dining room, and a comfortable living area. We had nice weather and enjoyed our coffee on the back porch. Well-stocked kitchen and we were able to cook a full breakfast, although Ian provided breakfast bars, oatmeal, and juice. Close to downtown and walkable to the cute restaurants/pubs there.

Staying at Jin and Wayne’s place was truly restorative. BEAUTIFUL property, LOVELY hosts, PERFECTLY appointed. We were amazed at all the thoughtful touches and calming atmosphere. The beds and linens were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. We stayed in lilac, peony, and iris blooming season - their gardens are spectacular. We met Jim and she was so friendly and lovely. We felt welcomed and guided. Rockland was charming, quiet, with great walking trails, shops, and activities. They have a good selection of Wyeths and other Maine artists at the Farnsworth Gallery. VERY friendly town and we will return to stay at Salty Cape. Thank you for a PERFECT stay.

We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. We have two young children and this was the perfect couples getaway. The Airbnb was so quiet and cozy. We slept so peacefully after long hiking days. Sue is an amazing cook and breakfast was delicious! Early hikes and travel plans didn’t allow us to always eat in person, but Sue and Eric thoughtfully prepared delicious baked goods and fruit for us. They were quick with communication and extremely organized. Everything was very clean too. I would stay here again and hope to in the future when we are back to visit Acadia.

The Pumpkin Cottage - Peace on the river

DanielRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Pumpkin cottage. The advertisment just does not do the place justice. Barbara was a wonderful host and the property had everything you could think of. The decor was my style and loved having access to different areas of the home. Clean, tidy and friendly hosts. What more do you need. 5/5=would be back and would recommend to others. One little niggle is it would have been good to have some kind of Aircon. Fridge and eating utensils. Excellent

Grand Victorian of Ellsworth, West Rm. Queen

We loved to stay at Bill’s and Paul’s place. Everything was as described, communication was great and the house is beautiful. We had the Queen room right next to the bathroom and I am still amazed that we didn’t hear a sound, I wish I had that kind of sound proofing in my house. The muffins were delicious and we had enough space in the fridge for our food. My dog was very anxious on our roadtrip and was not able to sleep on her own. At this place she stayed happily in her dog bed. Both hosts were super friendly. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

The North End of Our Restored Barn

Lian-EeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Jane and Paul are fantastic hosts! Our stay in the North Barn was incredible. Jane greeted us as we pulled up and gave us a wonderful tour. The barn is beautifully thought out and felt like a home, perfect for our time at MDI. Jane advised our teens to enjoy the little nook upstairs for some down time. Everyone loved the porch, where we could soak in the sun or enjoy cooler evenings without the bugs. Paul's color coded hikes (descriptions and maps) were invaluable. A welcome basket of provisions were waiting for us, so we didn't have to rush out to get any groceries for our hike the next day. We got great recommendations for food from Jane. Coffee Matters was a favorite breakfast place. If you choose to go to Town Hill Market, have cash on hand! The star was Beal's Lobster Pier in Southwest Harbor. The seafood was excellent and the onion rings were spot on. Jane and Paul, thank you for a memorable time on MDI! We loved the conversations and hope to be back soon!

We had an amazing experience staying at Karen’s place! My fiancé, our dog Clover, and I all felt incredibly welcomed from the moment we arrived. Karen went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Every morning started with an incredible homemade breakfast that was both delicious and thoughtful. She also gave fantastic recommendations for local spots to check out, which really made our trip special. Karen was extremely accommodating and always willing to help with anything we needed. It’s rare to find a place that feels this warm, personal, and genuinely cared for — we truly felt at home. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area – you won’t be disappointed!
