Welcome to our quiet rural escape by the sea. Location is on a rocky shoreline, ideal for star gazing, bird watching, kayaking and exploring or perhaps you just want a quiet, peaceful retreat. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our home. All I ask is that you read and agree to our house rules before requesting to book. All names and addresses must be provided 48hrs prior to check-in and I.D must be shown at time of check-in or your booking may be cancelled and check in refused.

The living area features two comfortable sofas arranged around a vibrant area rug. Wall-mounted artwork complements the space, while a television is positioned opposite the seating. Large windows dressed with light curtains allow natural light to brighten the room.

Strangford lough is an area of outstanding natural beauty and this is a wonderful place to come and enjoy all it has to offer in comfort. The large window in the living room is an amazing place to sit and watch the fantastic bird life, paddle boarders, kayakers and boats and even the occasional seal.

A lovely, well decorated, modern lodge with everything in it that we needed for our stay. Beautiful views from the lodge across Strangford Loch. Marty and his partner were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. Check-in was easy and there was a welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. Ten out of ten.

We had a wonderful three days here and were blown away with the location and area. The cottage was cosy and tastefully decorated with a great kitchen and very comfy bed ! We slept so well to the sound of the sea and loved that we only had to go through the gate to get to the beach which was all ours ! Didn’t see a soul ! My dog Stephen loved it too and being 13 it was ideal for him to wobble around and get his feet in the water. We will definitely return in the future. Thankyou so much.

If you love staying in a place that feel like home with quirky nickname then Paul’s place is for you. On a clear day with binoculars was great for bird, people and ship watching or even trying to see if a seal or 2 bobbing in the sea swells. Love the location, house and even though we were there for sporting event, I found the cal-du-sac quiet and peaceful. Thank you Louise and Thomas keep the charm of this place as is.

What a beautiful place to be! The cottage is very comfy and cosy and had everything we needed. We had a lovely time walking and driving around to see the beautiful surrounding area We found some lovely friendly places and people in nearby Portaferry and had a great day getting the ferry over and exploring Stangford and around. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts - would stay again and would definitely recommend 😀

Everything about the Cottage is first-class. The view is very special and it’s such a peaceful location but also a great base for getting out and exploring. Everything was as described on the listing but Donna went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. (Even stocking the cupboards with the kids’ favourite cereal!) Would highly recommend.

The place was beautiful inside! Even better than the pictures. It has everything you could need for a holiday home. Beds super comfortable and the kitchen spacious for cooking. My only note would be that there really isn’t much in Cloughey if you want to go to restaurants etc on your doorstep but there are places you can go just a drive away and the view you get from the house of the beach makes it worthwhile. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
