Aptus Hook n Horn Ranch

This mini lodge nestled on the banks of the Mineral Fork Stream is perfect for a couples romantic escape or friends-cation. The privacy & beauty that comes along with a stay at this historic working ranch is easy to fall in love with and offers a taste of seclusion with a touch of civilization. Whether it’s enjoying a drink on the covered porch which sits within view of the 1800’s huge rock constructed historic smelter or listening to the swoonworthy babbling stream & relaxing by the fire-pit.

Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

Of course, there is always more to explore in the area as well; including the Black River, which is just a short hike away.

This venue is perfect for nature lovers. We offer hiking trails, a 9 acre lake, hunting, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and relaxing at this beautiful property.

This primitive cabin is a great way to connect with nature, while still being able to retreat indoors at night. Unique space - the loft has a skylight; primitive - has electricity but no running water. You will have amazing lake views and will be close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and wine tasting at Edg Clif Wineries which is next door to us. The newly remodeled shower house has restrooms and hot showers and it is within walking distance.

Come and have some fun at our semi- private cabin that sits on a stocked pond. We are dog friendly only. This property has 2 additional cabins and 2 houses available if needed. Each space has 5 acres creating a semi private experience to relax and enjoy the outdoors. ***please note due to drought, pond levels are extremely low.****
