Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Alto Alentejo

Best Airbnb we've stayed in. The photos and description of the accommodation do not do justice to what we found. Nothing is missing in this little paradise. Everything thought out in detail to make us feel at home. For the icing on the cake, the kindness of Graça, who personally welcomed us and was available to help us in any way possible. Thank you for this 5-star stay!

Everything was great, we had a really nice and peaceful stay. There seems to be a quarry not far and it made some noise but not too much. And in the evening there was an event nearby with loud music that was a bit disturbing. I don’t know if it’s a regular thing.

This location was a hidden gem. The view is unmatched and the infinity pool was a bonus. It felt like a dream. Annemie was very welcoming and we loved the friendly cat! It definitely felt like our second home and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for their perfect getaway under the sun.

Beautiful space, surrounded by nature, rustic cottage in great condition, very friendly and always helpful hosts, made us feel at home. I couldn't fail to mention the friendly Nougat, the friendly farm dog, and the donkey Serafim. Very quiet place, allows you to relax. I highly recommend it.

We had a good time at Joanna's place. There was a great view, the location was great with beautiful beaches nearby. The accommodation and furnishings are quite simple, but the overall concept was very harmonious. We particularly liked the terrace with a small pool and direct access from the almost fully glazed living room.

Were guests at Tina's for 10 days in May 2025. Beautiful well-kept property and super warm hostess! We felt very comfortable there. Estremoz is a pretty place with good infrastructure and several supermarkets. Great location to explore the Alentejo. We 100% recommend the place!

You honestly have to see it to believe it! The house is such a treasure. We stayed as a family of five, 3 boys ages 9,5 and 4 years old. They did not want to leave :) João was an exceptional host and went beyond to be sure we had everything we needed! Great restaurants just a few minutes walk away and supermarket 5 minute drive away

It was wonderful to return to this beautiful & peaceful retreat. Couldn't ask for more, than relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. Rogerio was attentive as always but gave us our space. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

My family and I just returned from a fantastic stay in Ericeira at John’s Surfy Loungy Lodge. We could not be happier with the way everything went. The apartment had everything we needed, the views were incredible and the location was perfect. John and Graca were fantastic hosts. We would 100 percent stay there again, and with luck we will, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family. The entire experience exceeded our expectations!

We loved our stay!! Joao was very attentive & checked on us a couple of times which I appreciated. Very comfortable home in a great location. We took an Uber from the bus station & walked everywhere while we were there. It was only a few days this time but will definitely be back!

Joana’s apartment looked exactly like the pictures. Beautiful view of the river from the balcony. Air conditioning helpful on the warm days. Location walkable for many areas of interest. The Breakfast Lovers restaurant was 4 minute walk from apartment and phenomenal. Joana had a thorough list of local restaurants, which was helpful. There were nighttime celebrations for the upcoming feast of St Anthony, and outdoor celebrations at night were loud, just an awareness. Would highly recommend.

The apartment is located inn a great area - Alfama. The hike to get to the unit was tough especially when I went in the wrong direction from the train station, but Pedro was patiently waiting there for us. After our hike to get there, completing the 68 steps to the unit was a breeze. LOL The view is spectacular and saw cruise ships coming and going every day. The unit was clean, comfortable. I had issues with the TV but did not go to Lisbon to watch TV. I was connected to the Wi-FI but not the internet, which was fine as my phone did the work for me and I was not working online. Ann and Rita Have created a special space and were are grateful for the accommodations. They did a tasteful job with the decor. I would definitely recommend the unit to anyone. Great job. Exceeded expectations. Spacious, light, airy, excellent views, good ventilation and great amenities. Has everything you could need for a stay of a few days to a few months. The location is impeccable, great views and easy access to a host of tasty restaurants and bars yet pretty quiet in the evenings. It hit the spot.

We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon. The home was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly communicative and responsive. Bruno sent many personalized recommendations based on our interests. Having the pool was incredible after long day of sight seeing. Private, quiet, but also steps away from great restaurants and landmarks. Don’t hesitate to book!

Excellent value ratio. We spent 2 nights at Alice's house. The house is located in the vicinity of Vide Castle, in a very quiet and welcoming environment. The hosts were very friendly and the apartment was very cozy. We are very happy with our choice!

Great place, highly recommended

We were only here for two nights, but everything was great! There was a cute wine shop a block away, with really unique options and great service! There was a great dinner spot across from the wine shop and a super cute brunch spot right next to the apartment. The apartment was spacious and gave us everything we needed to do our remote work as well. We would definitely recommend it!

This apartment was beautifully maintained, clean, and thoughtfully decorated—full of charm and character that made us feel right at home the moment we walked in. The real star of the show was the garden patio. It was like stepping into a secret oasis in the heart of the city. Lush greenery and the peaceful sounds of birds made it the perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon lounging, or a quiet glass of wine under the stars.

Pedro's apartment was clean, bright, and located in a peaceful alley where you could literally hear the birds in the morning - I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. It was within walking distance of central Lisbon, so I mostly used public transport for attractions farther out. I would definitely stay there again if I were visiting Lisbon.

We loved our time in this centrally located condo! It was cozy and clean, and we had easy access to beaches, stores, and restaurants. We would come here again and again.

The apartment is lovely, clean, well-equipped, and even more spacious than expected. The location is close to bustling neighborhoods, but the building itself is very peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Very well located, with great amenities and sparkling clean. Building with an elevator, which makes a huge difference in Lisbon where many historical houses are walk-ups. Highly recommended.
