Unique log cabin with quiet and high location.

This unique log cabin on its own plot that borders the forest, is newly renovated and modern overlooking the countryside and the lake Alviken. The cottage has three floors of a total of about 70 m2 and is located on the outskirts of the village Alvik. Within 2 km from the cabin you will find a swimming area and a nice nature conservation area with hiking trail around Alviken as well as Granberget Ski which has 7 slopes, ski rental, cross country ski tracks and restaurant. At Granberget's top, about 10 kilometers there are very nice cross-country tracks. The shop in Siljansnäs is 6 km

The cottage was renovated 2023, the bathroom 2018. Within walking distance there is a kiosk and grocery store as well as a little further up the village there is a cafe, hotel and mini golf. 200 meters from the front door is Byrviken, an excellent swimming area. Within a 20 minute drive there is also Tegera Arena, Granberget's ski slope and cross-country skiing.

A wooden deck leads to a charming entrance with two white chairs beside a small table. A sheltered pergola provides a shaded seating area, while lush greenery surrounds the property, and a clear blue sky completes the serene outdoor setting.

Karin is a warm and welcoming host and very keen that we would have a good time during our stay. Very helpful and told us what we could go to for some excursion destinations around. Me and the kids are very happy with our stay and will be happy to come back to her cozy little cottage!

The location is great for everyone that wants to escape the city life. It’s peaceful, quiet and private. The small boat was a great addition to the cabin. You can fish at the river or on the nearby lakes, where perch and pikes can be found. The cabin itself was simple but has everything that is needed. Anders was a great host and replied super quick to any questions. I really recommend coming here and experiencing it yourself!
