Just wow!! We booked last minute and were so happy that we did. Amanda’s cabin is just incredible. We were given clear instructions and upon arrival were so impressed. Amanda had the cabin windows open and the indoor fire already started so the cabin was cozy. Absolutely everything you need is in the cabin and it was so tidy and clean. The bed was insanely comfortable and the pillows were amazing. We thought we would get cold throughout the night but with the fire going and the bedding it was so comfortable. We used the outdoor firepit and took a walk down to the creek. Thank you for an incredible night away. We will definitely be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay, and it was great to be able to bring our dog too! The farm is beautiful, the cabin was cosy and private and there's lots to explore in the local area. Lovely to have a log fire in such cold weather, and all the facilities are there if you wanted to cook and eat at home rather than venturing out. Communication with the hosts was easy, and they were proactive about letting us know when the cabin was ready early (a really nice surprise) and respectful about whether our dog would be comfortable with the farm dogs or not, which was very welcome. We loved it, thank you David!

Kirsten’s place was perfect for the purpose of our visit to Stanthorpe. We came to visit some friends who have been in Stanthorpe for the last few years. Even though Kirstee’s place is set up for two we were able host our friends for lunch. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for our roast lamb and vegetables lunch, enjoyed with some local red and white wines. Hot tub was 👌🏼 in the cold weather, our visit to the local markets was amazing, very kind and friendly people everywhere. Great coffee and produce. Waste no time, get yourself booked in for a stay in Stanthorpe and be sure to stay at Kirstee’s place.

Honestly such a beautiful place, the photos don’t do it justice. You can see the stars at night, and our dog loved the beautiful grassy areas. She stuck her head out the window as soon as we were close, getting super excited. She got the mega zoomies when we got there. Cannot recommend this place enough. Small and dainty, everything you need. The kitchen utensils were beautiful. Very minimalistic but got everything you need. Such a gem close to Brisbane, looking forward to exploring all the tiny homes available in Australia. Loved the fire and the chairs too.

Absolutely OBSESSED. This stay completely exceeded my expectations in every way. Every detail was clearly thought out with so much care. The fireplace was the coziest touch, and the clawfoot bathtub was a total dream. The natural surroundings were pure serenity, and there were multiple walking trails right at our doorstep. Laura is absolutely lovely and nothing was too much of an ask! I’m already planning my return — we honestly didn’t want to leave. If you’re considering booking, stop thinking and just do it!!

Had a great stay! Phillip was a wonderful host, very friendly, accomodating and happy to help with anything we needed. Cabin has a beautiful view making for a relaxing and peaceful night away. Animals were friendly - shoutout to Ziggy the dog who was keen to welcome us in. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future!

This venue was perfect for a nice weekend away. Easy to access and offered everything to have a meal considering it is a decent drive from the nearest town. Very peaceful and private. Will definitely visit again.

Loved the peaceful setting and listening to the birds and loved our stay. Access was a bit tricky because road was being repaired but this was an outside issue to owner, we had been forewarned by her. Some trouble with gate access but Bronwyn was very responsive and helpful. Venue suited us as very close to family and facilities met all our needs. Heating worked well despite the very cold winter weather and provision of extra blankets.

Mel was great, welcoming, available & full of energy. We appreciated the fresh eggs, firewood, all the animals on the property. We had some wet weather, so very much enjoyed being able to make use of the pooltable, bar area, sports room. Our cottage accommodation on the property was more than suitable, with everything required in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom & living area. Thanks Mel.

Caretakers Judith and Barry were very welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay. Enjoyed the pool, tennis and kayaking around the lake with all equipment provided. Our dog Mylo had a wonderful stay too, going for walks and rolling around in the grass.

Everything we had hoped for. Absolutely stunning views, relaxing, amazing stars, firepit, fireplace, surrounded by wildlife..... so serene. Rachel was wonderfully responsive and so very helpful

Secluded cabin in very large, well-kept grounds. The accommodation is well equipped and clean. An idyllic spot for those who, like us, are looking for absolute peace and quiet. At sunrise, kangaroos come to graze on the grass right next to the accommodation. It's hard to go back to the city after a long weekend at Brooke's. Highly recommended!

My daughter, dog and I had a wonderful 3 night stay! The view was beautiful and the bird life so relaxing. There are beautiful wallabies on the property and we loved meeting the gorgeous miniature cows! Our hosts were lovely and helpful. I hope to come back again for a relaxing weekend.

Very comfortable, clean and cosy cottage with nice walks for our doggo and views to enjoy from the front verandah for us. Easy access to the centre but still felt remote enough to see the night stars and kangaroos which was a bonus!

Don’t second guess this place, just book it!!! You’ll be surprised at every corner. Like many others have experienced, we were completely blown away by the thoughtfulness and details Amanda has put into this cottage. As soon as you arrive you can feel it! It has so much character, a perfect amount of lived in feel, and the surroundings just top it off. Some of our favourite parts of our trip were sitting in the hot bath admiring the surroundings, picnics along the brook and watching the animals… we’ll be coming back for much longer next time.

Kookaburra Cottage is nestled in a delightful and peaceful spot on Craig and Caroline’s property. (NB steepish gravel drive to get there - not recommended for campers and trailers not allowed.) It was an emergency decision following cancellation of plans in brisbane and north Stradbroke due to cyclone Alfred, and did not disappoint! It was a haven of calm in a stressful week, and plenty of national parks to visit nearby (although some spots were closed because of Alfred’s imminent arrival). And I loved meeting ‘the cheeseboard’ (the mini-cows: only 4 of the 7 are named for cheeses in fact!). Craig took me on a little tour and showed me his work in regenerative farming. Very impressive. My only disappointment is not meeting the dog Toby. Another time no doubt…. I highly recommend this place.
