Large house with charm

Detached, large older former farmer's house at the top of the mountain with huge garden and great views of the countryside for rent. All around is agricultural zone. So wonderfully quiet. Sometimes there are sheep on the neighboring property, but they are very nice. The area is ideal for relaxing, hiking, exploring nearby Zurich, Winterthur or Rapperswil as well as climbing the Hörnli and the Bachtel , etc. Best starting point for day trips, cycling, walking.... It has 4 bedrooms. 2 have a large double bed. 1 room has a 160x200 cm bed. 1 room with two single beds a 90x200cm bed. In the attic and in the back living room, 2 people could also stay. However, the house is ideal for max. 7-9 persons. Uncomplicated people can also stay well and comfortably up to 12 persons. ( it still has a large inflatable mattress) It has a very functional kitchen, a dishwasher, washing machine, central heating, internet access, TV, and video/DVD as well as radio. Garden furniture, barbecue, children's toys and board games available. The hotpot in the garden with beautiful views into the valley is easy to heat in. However, it must be expected with about 3 hours until the water is pleasantly warm. Public transport (bus every half hour) is about a 10-minute walk away. Nearest shopping in Bäretswil or Bauma about 5 min away (with the car) away. Very good restaurant (in the village) in 5 min. by foot. (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Zurich (great city) can be reached in 15 minutes by public transport (S-Bahn from Wetzikon) by car in about 35 minutes by car ( not advisable, as the parking facilities are rare and expensive) Winterthur (very good museums) in 30 min ( by train from Bauma it is 20 min.) The house was built in 1847 and rebuilt for the first time in 1958. In the last 15 years we have made some extra renovations. For example, a wooden pellet central heating system has been installed in the existing tile stove. The attic was expanded. The decor style of our house is functional, modern, casual and practical. As a lover of old beautiful things, we paid attention to a good mix between old and new. It was made with a lot of love and charm. Since we also use the house itself, the furnishings are also very personally equipped without being intrusive.

Our accommodation can meet many needs: - Short trip: Cities such as Lucerne, Zug, Zurich, Basel, Bern... can be reached comfortably and quickly by train - Business trip: away from the hustle and bustle, an accommodation with free parking - Vacation in the countryside: our lake view is an oasis. Tipi in the cave with a breathtaking view

Your private glamping site in stunning nature and perhaps the best sunset on the lake. Our quiet place is suitable for a break in nature, free Wi-Fi at night (report on arrival). The tipi is in a cave and also on a rainy day you are well protected . You have pallet sofas and a dining table available, just in front of the tipi. In the garden area there is an outdoor kitchen with fireplace, electric stove and refrigerator. Please think about the sleeping bag and a flashlight.
