Cottage vacation rentals in Wimmera

A lovely cottage to rest and relax in. It had everything we needed, and was warm in winter. We day tripped to Mt Gambier and some Coonawarra wineries, and enjoyed a meal out at Pipers, though we also enjoyed times spent reading in the comfy cottage. We loved the well set up kitchen, and the outdoor areas are great. Thanks Jennifer.

Beautiful views, it was exactly what we were looking for

We adored our stay in this beautiful cottage in a locality we had long planned to visit. Penola is a peaceful country town but, with all you need to eat out or in! We loved our dinner at the Royal Oak and had delicious meat from the local butcher. We spent time at the Mary Mackillop Shrine and Interpretation Centre ...very special. The Coonawarra wineries are a few minutes drive away, where we were welcomed warmly. All this was enhanced by the perfect Georgie's cottage, so carefully prepared, with gorgeous bedding, crockery, furnishing and many finishing touches. Everything we needed for cooking dinner was there. The place was spotless...garden nooks, reading nooks...perfect!

What a wonderful peaceful property, extremely clean, very comfortable beds, plenty of amenities, communication with John and Linda was excellent and very responsive. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful get away in a lovely environment inside and out. My son and I went to view the stars with his telescope, the skies were amazing too. Thanks so much John and Linda for your hospitality.

Such a fantastic little place to stay in Very comfortable and quite. Everything there that you need. So much better than staying in a motel or cabin. Feels like home. Neat and tidy nothing flash just how we like it

Such a great place to stay! Amazing fire place, bathroom insane and huge, bed comfortable and overall great house to relax in. Short drive into Halls Gap so it feels like it is in the middle Of nowhere but is actually really close to town. Kangaroos lived in the front yard and would come in pretty close. We had an amazing stay. Did some walks one day and then spent the day enjoying the fireplace and relaxing. A prefect house for this! We would stay again.

Lovely little cottage with a proper rustic feel. It was as clean as it could be. Checkin instructions were perfectly fine for us. Our (lovely) neighbour checking in to the nearby cabin however had trouble in the dark and ended up knocking on our door for a midnight chat leading to a surprisingly wonderful interaction between strangers in a strange place in a late hour of the night. T&J you made our stay entirely memorable. Haha.. Thanks Denise for a comfortable stay, we picked a good temperature day/night to stay.

Thankyou Gav & Dora for sharing your gorgeous, welcoming, comfy, everything-we-needed home. Ellie, our dog, loved the huge, safe yard. Fantastic position from which to walk to town on the wonderful Book Town Festival weekend. Loved it.

I have stayed in BnB's all over SA for work and I have two listings myself, one in SA and one in Bali. Alana and Jay's country cottage is exceptional if you are happy to stay in an amazing cottage in a working cropping and sheep farm! The cottage has everything you'll need..... was spotlessly clean, welcoming and Alana always available for anything you'll need. As a Co-host on Air BnB, I took photos of the little things that Alana has provided and will take them onboard to improve my own Air BnB properties.! The night view of stars with no light 'pollution' of street lights... amazing... Regrets? I didn't get to meet the very friendly sheep dog!!

Lee and Bryan were very hospitable, approachable and friendly, the place was cute, had everything in it and also more. Fridge was also filled with eggs, bacon, bread, had breakfast choices. Would highly recommend. Will return!

Absolutely lovely stay even with the rain. we enjoyed bushwalking with the dog and letting him explore the new area. its absolutely cozy and warm with the fire going in the winter. would definitely visit again

We had a very peaceful week, taking our two GSDs we were very happy to find a large, private and secure garden. A very peaceful street and just a short walk from the town centre. Lots of local options for food and drinks between Stawell, Pomonal and Halls Gap.

Quiet and secluded, well stocked with fire wood for those cold nights. Kitchen was well equipt. Bed was comfortable. All in all it was a brilliant lodge to stay in and we'll definitely be back again and be recommending it to there's.

The accommodation was great, clean, had everything we needed. Spacious, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. It was warm and cosy, with heating in main living area and in both the upstairs bedrooms plus a wood heater we used at night that was lovely to sit around. We loved our stay, perfect location for Grape Escape and hikes around Halls Gap. Such a peaceful location with local wildlife, stunning sunsets and sitting around the fire at night. Had everything we needed for our stay.

We had a lovely stay. Marcus and Janet responded promptly to our requests. The area is quiet and beautiful native birds greeted us each morning.

We really appreciated staying at one of Greg's cottages over the long weekend. The place was immaculate, had character, and was situated at a great location. We also look forward to making this a repeat visit next year. Greg was a great host and was very welcoming.

Great place for a quick getaway with the boys. Will definitely be back with the family. The cabins are located a good distance apart. The shared bbq area was fantastic with great views of the Grampians. Highly recommended.
