Historic, lovingly renovated, bright and quiet flat on two floors in Egloffstein castle. The flat can only be accessed via the idyllic courtyard. In the entrance area: dining room and kitchen. The cosy living room/bedroom has a wood-burning stove and leads to the battlements, high above the valley. The bedroom and bathroom, as well as 2 additional beds, are located on the upper floor. The flat is an ideal starting point for hiking, biking or climbing the rocks in the immediate vicinity.

With attention to detail, we have completely renovated this house, which is over 100 years old. We reused as much of the old materials as possible or worked with natural materials, such as clay plaster, furniture made of wood in our own construction, the sink was hand-potted by me and mounted on an old sewing machine frame. The apartment is located at the entrance to Franconian Switzerland. There are many attractions such as the castle ruin Neideck, the Walberla, numerous caves and viewpoints. There is also the possibility for climbing, archery, boat tours, motor and gliding.

Stay in a historic barn

You will stay on a former farm with a listed, 420-year-old barn, which we have lovingly renovated. You will stay in a completely independent part of the barn with a private entrance. On the ground floor, there is a large living-dining kitchen. On the second floor is the bedroom and a cozy sofa corner that invites you to relax. It's rare to find a place that's both historic and one-of-a-kind.

Our apartment in the attic, on a farm, is located at the gateway to Franconian Switzerland between Forchheim, Erlangen and Bayreuth. The apartment has a lot of comfort. Big garden with playground to relax and barbecue. Perfect for relaxing, hiking and various recreational opportunities. Maximum occupancy 6 persons (+ 1 travel cot).
