House vacation rentals in Whiteface Mountain

Mott House at Apple Island was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Check in was easy and host was proactive in communicating. Everyone was super friendly and the resort has lots to do and see, and is just a short drive to Burlington. We loved Mott House, so much space and so wonderfully Vermont! There is even a view of the lake and marina from the font porch. You get privacy from the RV portion of the resort, but that brings us to the the only thing we want to note from our stay... The Mott House is right on the road and it is a busy road. We would stay again without hesitation, just a note about the road noise especially for those staying with small children like we were. We still give it 5 stars and wholeheartedly recommend Mott House. Thank you Apple Island Resort, we had a great time and loved it!

Ray’s place was just perfect for our stay! The view is absolutely stunning. The space worked well with two completely separate sleeping spaces and bathrooms. And it was dog friendly. We hope to stay there again.

Overall, the experience was wonderful. The home was clean, accessible, and surrounded by great nature. The host, Weizhong, was responsive and clear on everything that was needed and things we had questions about.

Genuinely even better than anticipated. Place is bigger than it looks, very spacious, clean, all amenities, great location, quick response from hosts. Loved every moment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at our hosts’ childhood home. Instantly comfortable- we could feel the love this home has known. And our hosts were incredibly responsive to an emergency situation we experienced that became a moot point in minutes. Thank you again🙏 We hope to return next summer❣️

My husband, myself and a friend spent the weekend at Nathan's. Moriah is our hometown and we've been gone for 50 yrs. Our stay at Nathan's was great in every way. We will not hesitate to again! The home was clean well stocked and so very peaceful.

We really loved staying at Katie's home. She responded very quickly, and we were allowed to use everything in the house and garage. The house was beautiful and near the lake. It's a quiet place close to nature. The kids loved it.

Great place! Beautiful, cozy, clean home in a quiet neighborhood. Very convenient walk to all that Main St has to offer:-) Perfect for two families (or, in our case, adults traveling with our 20-25yr old kids—the “Cousin Crew” claimed the downstairs space with its own kitchen and entrance—worked out great for all!) The pool was perfect for a dip and some happy hour treats. Would stay here again!

We had another great stay at Kate Mountain Farm. This is a beautiful, interesting, and original place to stay located on a working farm. Waking up in the unique upstairs loft bedroom with a view of the sunrise hitting the pine trees never gets old. It is an excellent alternative to staying in Lake Placid or Saranac Lake, with the beauty of the woods and hiking nearby, and easy driving access to all that the high peaks of the Adirondacks have to offer. The place was spotless as usual, with many goodies provided to make your stay a nicer experience. Thank you Aaron!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Dreamy Mirror Lake House." Our hosts Patrick & Kevin were also very responsive and got back to us quickly when we had questions. The location of the house is perfect - the shops are a short walk, the neighbors are quiet, and the view of the lake is stunning. The interior of the house looked exactly like the pictures in the listing and we had everything our family needed, and more! We enjoyed sitting on the dock and taking the kayaks & paddle boards out onto the lake. The pool table/ping pong table in the rec room was also fun! The house was perfect for our family and we would love to return in the future!

This is a beautiful, peaceful, and cozy mountain cabin with big windows, a fire place, and a lovely porch. We loved it. Moreover, it was within a short drive to Lake Placid, White Face Mountain, and numerous pristine hiking trails. We even got to Montreal for a quick peek, within two hours. We were lucky enough to have been blessed with a few inches of snow which decorated the pines, rivers and fields with winter magic. We had a great stay. Thank you John and Maria.

My wife and I stayed at this location for weekend hiking in the Adirondacks, and it served delightfully as our “home base” location. It is well situated off of RTE 86 with close access to the High Peaks, as well as the local hotspots in Keene, Jay, and Lake Placid. Everything we needed was within a 25 minute drive. The interior is exactly as described, welcoming, clean, and with all of the amenities for outdoor adventures. The grill and fire pit are a huge plus for eating and relaxing after being out in the mountains. Jessica is a tremendous host, responsive, kind, and was even nice enough to tell me that we left some things behind in the coat closet and shipped them to us at no cost. I’d highly recommend this location to anybody planning a trip in the ADK! Hoping to stop in again soon. -Joe and Lo

Perfect location for Whiteface ski vacation (6 min drive). 15 mins to Lake Placid for shopping & eats. Super cute, high ceilings, cozy, comfortable beds. Great sleeping loft area overlooking downstairs. Impeccably clean without any strong cleaning smell (I’m sensitive). Will definitely stay again.

Peaceful, extremely comfortable, fun games, an overall great home for an enjoyable weekend get away. Fun activities such as Golf and Ausable Chasm for our adventurous entertainment. Utilized the kitchen for delicious home cooked meals, surround sound music, Arcade game and cards, and hot tub to the fullest extent of our stay. Slept like a baby at night and woke up to fresh coffee every morning. Our weekend was detailed in the guestbook left out on the great room table for all to see how much we enjoyed our weekend at The Branch. We would love to visit this home again. We had a wonderful long weekend at Camp Moonshadow, where we met our daughter, who came over from Burlington to spend the weekend with us. It was a very easy ferry drive and short drive for her. It was exactly what we needed - quiet, comfortable and beautiful. We did the short hikes nearby and we cooked in all meals. Kitchen was an absolute joy to cook in - large and open and providing most of what we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit on one of the nights - roasting marshmallows and catching up. Coffee on the patio in the mornings was lovely. Bedrooms were comfortable, and bathrooms squeaky clean and expansive. Host Steven got back to me regarding a few hours early on checkin - much appreciated. This is a quiet neighborhood, and perfect for a restful respite.

Thanks for sharing your home! It’s a peaceful and relaxing getaway, but also only a short drive to Lake Placid restaurant and shops. A very well stocked kitchen for those who enjoy cooking at home.

Ashley's place was perfect for our 6-person, multi-generational family. We love to cook and her kitchen was impeccably outfitted with everything we needed AND SHARP KNIVES. It rained the entire time we were there but we enjoyed her game room and comfortable living room. We had to contact Ashley a few times for minor issues and she answered almost immediately with a solution. Location and proximity to trails, Whiteface, and other outdoor activities are perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

This cabin was a great base camp for a trip to the Adirondaks. The house is secluded back in the woods and there was plenty of room for our group of 6. The host was also responsive when we reached out.

We had a great stay!! The place was even nicer than the photos, very roomy and comfortable for our family of three plus pup. We loved the location - a short drive to Whiteface for skiing which was a priority, but also accessible to the town of Lake Placid which we enjoyed exploring. But when we were back at "home" we felt like were in a beautiful rural setting. Nice to have a really full kitchen and dining area which we often find lacking in Air B&B's. We would definitely stay there again!

One of the best homes I’ve rented in Vermont, the home was beautiful, the property was beautiful as well. Would highly recommend having a vehicle to be able to handle the unexpected weather conditions and would highly recommend staying at this home if you’re looking to snowboard/ski or a simple getaway, the ideal home! The host was super thoughtful and responsive as well. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Jay’s Mountain Retreat. Many options are available in the area, but for us, we will repeat again and again. It was the perfect blend of privacy and convenience. An amazing and responsive host that provides a space with quality and comfortable touches.

My partner had an amazing stay at Katy’s Airbnb, it was beautiful staying over by the pond and was a quick drive over to both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Katy was always super on top of communication and was overall a great host, would definitely come back!

This was our second stay at the property. Our first visit was in winter, when the steep driveway and stairs were difficult to navigate—especially for those with knee or hip issues. The stairs remain steep, but this time the weather was better. The house is very clean and has two bedrooms; the master does not have an en-suite, and the second bedroom is small with two beds. There are 1.5 bathrooms next to each other, requiring guests in the master to walk through the living area. The home is well-stocked with towels, blankets, and pillows, and features individually heated rooms. There is also a need for unchipped coffee mugs. We only stayed one night and mainly used it for sleeping. The main bathroom could use minor updates: low shower pressure, a missing towel bar, and an unwiped washer. The ongoing construction and deck work may improve things once finished. We couldn’t get the TV to work, but it wasn’t needed for our stay. It fit our needs perfectly.
