Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Westmoreland County

This is our 2nd time being here and we were not disappointed! This house has a beautiful view. Pooja is a wonderful host. We were welcome with a basket of snacks. Kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked. Pooja provided more than enough for our stay and we had everything we need. House is clean and beds are comfortable. My family had a great time fishing and kayaking. Thanks Pooja for your hospitality!

Less than .5 miles from sand . The kids loved staying at the house versus a hotel ! Was the perfect spot to relax and go on the deck to hear the water . Would definitely go back for another vacation.

An incredible peace of property! This house has been beautifully renovated and exceeded every expectation. Unbelievable waterfront views from nearly every room in the house, back porch and fire pit. Also a very nice surprise of having a little play area stocked with toys for the little ones! This is a must stay if we’re ever back in the area!

Cute place in a small community of vacation homes. They don't call the area Tall Timbers for nothing. I like the corner market up the road, the restaurant and bar are old school, friendly, and lively - packed with locals.

We had a wonderful vacation here. Although it rained during our stay, we found the treehouse to be a great place just for listening the rain drops and having some inner peace.

We went to Southern Maryland to celebrate our 44th Wedding Anniversary as it was where we met back in high school. We were greeted at Tom & Michele’s place with a sweet chalkboard message, flowers and a nice little cake to help us feel special and celebrated. That was very kind. Their apartment is extremely clean and very comfortable. The backyard is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. We didn’t need help with navigating the area as we grew up there so we spent most of our time visiting places from our youth. Tom & Michele reached out to us during our visit to make sure we were doing okay. We are quiet people and don’t require a lot of assistance so it was nice to be asked but we were good. For us it was nice to have a chance to spend quiet time alone together and Tom & Michele gave us that. Should we find ourselves back in Southern MD we would definitely stay there again. This was in a great location. The apartment was really cute and you can walk to literally everything!!! Parking was a little bit of an adventure but we worked it out :)The videos shared were helpful as well to answer any questions and they offered nice suggestions. The beds were really comfortable which was surprising for a couch. The street was a little loud but not bad and was expected since it was downtown. The space was well used and filled with everything we needed for our stay. I can’t say enough great things about the location though as once we parked the car, we didn’t have to move it again until we left. Also, when we couldn’t get the solar remote to work, but the host was super responsive and helpful and we figured it out. This was a great stay and the red door made it helpful to find the place as well as all the information provided prior to our stay. We had a wonderful time.

Such a cute spot for me and my husband to stay. I wanted a place walkable to Tiki for my birthday and I got the perfect place.

Jessica's basement apartment was very nice and had above and beyond amenities for the price. She was responsive and friendly. I'm happy with the unit however the thermostat is located in the host's living area so you will have to coordinate a temperature with her but she was always friendly and accommodating. I would happily book with her at this location again.

Our second time here! An absolutely adorable gem of an Airbnb with the nicest hosts and most beautiful garden and dock on the River! Great restaurant recommendations, super comfortable beds, and lovely living room. Perfect for families visiting the beloved St. Mary’s River.

Mary's place was everything we could've asked for. It had a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, and nice shower. She was very communicative and we would love to stay again.

This place was so clean and comfortable. The deck was very quiet and private. The entire place was very accommodating. The beds were so comfy that it was hard to get motivated in the mornings….lol. The local Rise Up coffee was a special touch. It is one of my favorite places to get coffee when I’m in the Cambridge area. I had two other quest with me and they too agree that the place was delightful. The steps going up to the apartment were a bit difficult for my 77 year old mother but other than that we had a wonderful visit. I would highly recommend Kara’s place. Thank you again!

I had a fantastic stay! The space was so cozy and comfortable. I loved the surrounds outside as well, it felt like a secret garden and was so serene and peaceful. I can’t say enough good things about this space. I’d absolutely love to visit again! Julie was wonderful too, she provided clear instructions and really thought of everything! The guest book was thorough and so were her messages. No guess work necessary which is so appreciated!

This place worked wonders for our family vacation. the place is very new and updated with 2 full bathrooms that were clean and spacious for beach time and baths with kids. colonial beach is a hidden gem in a historic little town that seems as though at one point was hustling and bustling but isn't quite as popular as it once was but trying to come back. if your a family looking for a uncrowded beach and some activities to do in the area then this place is great! we actually read about this place being in the heart of historic downtown. only thing we would have loved to see with this place is some outdoor patio spot at the home directly to be able to sit outside together. the location does not really have any night life during the week, not even on 4th of July. we went out at 9 pm and the bar closed at 10 pm which seemed way too early for a Thursday and holiday and being on the beach.

We had a great, peaceful stay! It was easy to find the place. Clear instructions. Parking was a breeze. The card, snacks, and waters were a nice touch! Also, I had mentioned bringing kids and there was a high chair for us. I don't know if that's always there but it was so thoughtful. The beds were soo comfy too especially the pillows! Neighbors were friendly and quiet.

After a little miscommunication on the arrival time, everything was at it should be or better. Great location, clean, responsive well worth it. Great experience and will be back regularly.

Brandon’s home was as beautiful as the pictures. We loved how easy it was to walk to everything in the town. The pool and rooftop patio were an added bonus. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, and the house easily accommodated our group of 8. We will be back!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Scott and Carrie's. The location was GREAT as the walk to downtown Fredericksburg was so close! It was clean and cozy. We would stay here again and would recommend to others!

We had an amazing girls weekend in large part because of how beautifully the rental was decorated, the amenities that came with it and its amazing location! We all agreed we will be looking at renting this location again next year!

We had a pleasant stay in this place, out from all the busy life worries. The house was clean, nice and exactly as I saw in the listing. Amber and her husband were so friendly and they gave tour of all the animals in their farm. Our daughter enjoyed giving treats to cows and donkeys, watching Chickens in the coop and picking eggs. There are lot of nearby trails and beaches where we enjoyed a lot. We would definitely comeback again in future.

This our second time staying here is the last year and we will again. The hosts are amazing, it is in the middle of the downtown area and walkable to everything.
