Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Vila Nova de Gaia

A wonderful place to relax and unwind! The place has everything you need, very well equipped kitchen. The home's biggest plus is the proximity to the ocean, you can watch the sunset from the terrace. Mum really enjoyed it, would definitely go to this house again! A bit of joy was spoiled by the cleaning staff, the woman was unkind, it gave us a dscomfort before leaving on her own. We had an unloaded trashcan left on which we were pointed out and told to take it off, adding, you may not already be taken away, but then let's raise the cleaning fee. But the house itself, location and hostess - everything was wonderful!

Joana's house was exactly what we needed 4 adult couples from the family each from a different part of the world The house is wonderfully equipped Designed in a rustic style, inviting and the garden is well maintained The property is exactly as you see in the pictures. It was well worth it!

Our stay went perfectly. The house is ideally located close to the beach. Very pleasant stay and Ruca was very attentive. I would recommend it in a second.

Our stay was amazing. We went to Grijó for a wedding and the location couldn't be more perfect. Emília was an amazing host, super available, attentive and of a giant sympathy! The house, besides the excellent cleaning, is very welcoming and is equipped with everything we need and something else :) all the corners were thought to detail with a lot of love and affection, both inside and outside that is also very pleasant ! And it's impossible not to feel the good energy ❤️ We sincerely thank you for your attention and look forward to coming back!

Rui was very responsive and helpful from the moment we checked in. He even got us a wonderful dinner reservation in Porto. The place was perfect for our family and the location was just what we wanted: tastefully decorated, close to the beach and close to Porto. Would highly recommend staying at Rui’s spot!

It was as described in the listing. The place felt so peaceful and was easy to get downtown Porto via busses or walk to the oceanfront. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful with suggestions.

Our family (4&3 yo) had a lovely stay. The space is large for the kids to play. It is a space which allows play time and games with no TV, something of a blessing. The bedrooms are close by to each other but provide privacy so not to disturb each other. The hosts are wonderful, we arrived late but José still took the time to greet us and provide essentials to save us having to go shopping. Our kids really enjoyed their time with José and his home.

Staying tucked in at an AirBnB is not typically the highlight of the trip to a city as beautiful and full of adventure as Porto, but Ester’s place is just so wonderful that it remains one of the fondest parts of our trip. Though we did spend most of our time out and about, the view from the house is a palpable uplifting way to begin and end each day. Ester made recommendations for some fabulous local restaurants. She is simply THE most precious host ever. Her place is organically artistic (no pretense - no clutter). While the house looks like the photos, it is more spacious, more natural light and a more lovely floor plan than indicated by the photos. The garden is delightful and mostly private. This is a special place!

Our first family holiday with 2 young children - we absolutely loved our time at Filipe's and hope to return next year. The apartment is spacious and made us feel like we were at home. We enjoyed using the pool and tennis court/football picth with the kids. There are beautiful beaches within walking distance, and so many amazing restaurants serving excellent food. Filipe was very helpful and responsive to our many questions, and his hosting skills were much appreciated. We did not have any problems, but if we did - we would have felt safe with Filipe! Thank you for everything, Filipe.

We really enjoyed staying in Sousas apartment. Nice and clean. Big bedroom and bathroom with a super nice shower. Everything was new and the elevator right into the apartment was a nice feature. We liked the neighbourhood with supercool restaurants close by and most sights in easy walking distance. Thank you for hosting us.

The apartment had good accomodations. Little bit of a walk to get to the core of the city, but surrounding area is nice. Supermarket and pharmacy down the road from the apartment

There were three of us sharing the property and it was so nice that I almost wanted to move in permanently! Nice terrace and very tasteful decor in quiet area. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, good proximity to the grocery store and a very nice pastry shop. Great choice if you like to stay a little secluded from the most visited tourist trails and discover different areas. We walked almost everywhere with the exception of some cheap taxi rides. 10/10 residents :)

Great welcome with Porto and juice, great location 50m from the metro and bus, accommodation a little outdated but perfectly in line with the photos so no surprises, only small downside the mezzanine staircase is very steep. Thank you Carlos for the welcome in very good French and for the good advice on restaurants, things to do.

Great place to stay and having three complete private bedrooms is highly beneficial when traveling with family. We hope to return for a longer trip in the future to soak in the sun and visit the Douro Valley. Very accessible location.

Fernando’s place is steps from beautiful Esmoriz beach. Active neighborhood with good restaurants. I recommend Paradoxo and the Angus burgers! Apartment was nice, functional. The washer machine and dishwasher worked well. Internet dropped out once or twice, but mostly it was good. Sometimes you can park right in front, but there is more parking with a block or two so that was good. Great location to base visits of Northern Portugal, and of course it’s a very nice beach!

The apartment is beautiful, beautiful view, well decorated, clean, with all household utensils, impeccable linens, it was well worth staying there.

Very nice place. It's relaxing, quiet, we enjoyed the huge garden with our children and our little girl. Everything is true to the listing description. The pool was perfect for the end of the day. We had a pleasant stay.

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Very nicely furnished. Beautiful flower garden in patio area. Kitchen contained all necessary items.

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Renovated in 2015, the house has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. It was a great place to stay for a week to view Porto and surroundings. Reception was extremely friendly, very warm. The house features a beautiful terrace, a (unheated) infinity pool with beautiful views over the valley and Duoro and features a (clean!) Weber BBQ. Lots of privacy to enjoy with your company outside. 15-20 Mbps internet sufficient to prepare you digitally for a day trip. Despite the fact that the fire alarm system was not completely stable, the owner has done everything possible to improve this during our stay. For a stay just outside Porto with peace and space, this is a great location.

I can’t thank Manu enough for her friendliness, hospitality and kindness. She is one of the nicest hosts I have been fortunate to meet. She helped us throughout our stay and was always available for advice and support. The accommodation itself is wonderfully spacious, secure and surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was a good base to explore Porto and surrounding areas, I would highly recommend. Many thanks 😊.
