The most interesting summer stay in Valmiera. There is an option to sleep on the second floor of a 105 year old barn. In this place, you'll feel like you're in a tent and suite at the same time, as birds chirp, rain droplets on the roof are froking, fresh air flows through all the slots of boards, the beds are soft, blankets are warm, and the mood is pleasant. The place is just 100 meters from the river Gauja, 300m from the nearest shops, 400m from the forest and 700m from the city center.

Hillside's Rest Nest

When I refurbished the place, my aim was to create a place to relax, read or hideaway to focus on work. Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. I am glad to share it with likeminded travellers and I will be glad to share all those little tips and tricks about places in Cesis, worthwhile to experience - from nature spots to cosy pubs :-)

Essentially it’s Latvian Bathhouse with beautiful view to share with your close ones. If you want to you will have chance to experience traditional sauna (additional + 60 EUR, there is also outside hot tub available + 60 EUR and take a fresh swim in a clear pond next to bathhouse.
