The Porter 1830

The Porter House, built in 1830-1850, is located in the heart of Raymond, MS. The home has two bedrooms upstairs each with full bathrooms and separated by a well-stocked coffee bar. The Porter House has a beautiful garden with fire pit and chairs. The Porter House is 5 minutes off of the Natchez Trace, 15 minutes from Clinton, and 30 minutes from Ridgeland/Jackson. The Haven is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature or have a good time with friends. Our 5 bedroom home sits on 45 acres of woodland with a 12 foot inground salt water pool. Unwind on the deck. Hike the trails into the forest and down to the creek. Play pool, air hockey, or ping pong in our balcony game room. Hang out in the pool or in the great room which has 3 couches, 2 recliners, and lots of space to spread out. And leave feeling refreshed and ready to get back to life.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Built in 1830 and lovingly renovated for now, it’s a slice of Vicksburg’s past. The Old Courthouse museum is visible from the back courtyard and the historic downtown is just a short walk. There’s a brewery and several unique restaurants just a few blocks away in the downtown with fun shopping close by. Casinos and the National Military Park are just a short drive. Has a desk, if needed and internet provided.

It is fully equipped is everything you need, air-conditioning, heat, towels, and even the laundry room available. It has a charming ambiance and design. We have private off-street parking. The Cottage is located a short distance from dining, shopping, galleries and museums.
