Guesthouse vacation rentals in Uppsala County

This place is superb. Our August week was our second stay and, if anything, it was even better than 5 years ago. The overall feel is as stunning and peaceful as ever with magnificent views from the deck across the water with the light constantly changing in the narrow sea-channel. In a heatwave, the new awning was a great addition. As a party of 8 adults, with four of us in our 50s and 60s and four aged 16 – 21, the accommodation across both houses was spacious and comfortable. There is a great deal to do if you’re active. The property’s swimming jetty, two kayaks, 4-seater canoe and sizeable rowing boat were in constant use – plus our own paddleboard which travelled as luggage without extra cost. We also enjoyed the table tennis table, outdoor weights bench and the sauna as well as hiring a tennis court in town. As before, Ylva is a great host and communicator. Our thanks to her for very kindly leaving us a supply of drinks with fresh flowers and herbs to cut from the garden. 5 years ago we enjoyed visiting Gamla Uppsala. This time we drove into Stockholm (parking on the outskirts at Morby Centrum and catching the underground into the city) and went to the Vasa museum. Closer to home, we loved the tiny beach and nature reserve at Kvarnsand 6km from the house which was a good bike ride/run with a swim at each end. I appreciated Ulf’s generous offer to come and set the sails for me on the sailing dinghy (or is it yacht, it has a keel) even though I never quite summoned the courage to accept. Next time, I resolve my sailing will be good enough to say yes.

I found a simple, beautifully located accommodation with Maria, just as I had wished. Everything was clean and lovingly maintained. The hostess Maria and her people were very accommodating, friendly and willing to contact. They were also able to give me good excursion tips. I felt well taken care of. I would rent Maria's cottage again immediately.

Annika has a lovely place in a great location for Herräng Dance Camp. The back porch makes for a cozy morning coffee after a night of dancing

Lovely (old) small house in nice area; not too far from Stockholm and Arlanda airport. The host responds quickly and arranged a baby bed and chair for us, which was very convenient. We would recommend this airbnb!

Petra and Niko's accommodation is absolutely stunning – it felt like being in paradise. The house is small and cozy, but perfect for two people. It had everything we needed to feel right at home. The thoughtful details, like the hairdryer, kettle, coffee machine, and heated floors, didn’t go unnoticed. The modern style of the house is ideal for anyone looking for those Swedish vibes. The house is surrounded by forests, so the silence is incredibly relaxing. We highly recommend having a car to get there. My girlfriend and I fell in love with Sweden, and also with Petra and Niko's beautiful home. They are incredibly kind, attentive, and very considerate of their guests' needs. We will definitely come back! Highly recommended!

Nice, fresh place with all the comforts. The nice sauna was a big plus. We received a great response from the hosts. Highly recommend!

Been here before and is perfect if you wanna get away from citylife to get some rest.

Pro: Host+her family are nice and welcoming, always helpful, also give you your privacy. The house is comfortable, well equipped. The bathroom feels small, but the kitchen is good and the fridge/freezer is big enough. Bed is only comfortable FOR ONE PERSON. There are roller blinds too if you're light-sensitive. CON: The house is right next to the highway, and there's constant noise even with the windows closed, because there are two air-vents on the highway-side wall. The internet connection is sometimes unreliable. There is not enough space for clothes/stuff if you're staying for a longer period of time. There is hangar space, but only one shelf and no drawers.

We really enjoyed our stay in Suzannes place. Checkin was easy and flexible with the keysafe, but we were also welcomed by the hosts personally. The location is very quiet and beautiful. We would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Large accommodation, comfortable beds and everything needed was in the kitchen. Nice patio and possibility to run around in the garden and play in the sandbox. Nice surroundings, calm and quiet! Everything great!

We spent a few wonderful days at Sara’s place - the little cottage is beautiful, very cozy, clean and even nicer than on the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay!

Lena's place is relaxing as it has a beautiful garden 🪴 surrounding it! Lean is super kind and friendly, as is her entire family! There are beautiful forests nearby you can walk in with wildlife and flowers (if you come in spring and summer). There is a grocery store within a 10 min walk, as well as a bus stop near the store, where you can ride to the train that takes you into the city. I recommend this place if you prefer coming home to calm & nature after your days out! 🥰

Great little place close to Bro and Bålsta. Very cozy, with candles and blankets, nicely decorated with a smartTV for Netflix etc. It’s a garage conversion on the host’s property, but totally separate and private with a small outdoor space as well. Immaculate and modern bathroom and kitchen facilities. Parking immediately outside and you would need your own vehicle. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we’re next in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

I really cannot recommend Lotten and Bosse’s place enough. It was such a pleasant and lovely stay, even better than expected. We enjoyed a midsummer dinner with them and their son, had great conversation and felt right at home. The property is full of thoughtful touches and artistic flair, the garden is awesome, and they are very close to lots of great things to do. If I’m ever back in the area I will absolutely return!

The apartment was beautifully decorated in a marine spirit and was neat. We felt welcome when we arrived and the atmosphere was cozy. The apartment is well-equipped and there was a good amount of spices for cooking. The surroundings were cozy and peaceful. We found an old oak forest and a monument area nearby.

We had a great stay at Erika’s place, perfect also with our little kid. Location is ideal and apartment fully equipped and refined in all details. Would certainly come back if in Sweden again.

This place worked perfectly for me. The neighborhood is peaceful with nice walks and sea views very close by. Easy access to the bus and ferry made it easy to get into Vaxholm and Stockholm, and the host generously picked me up from the bus stop when I arrived.

Niclas was a great and responsive host. We enjoyed having our private loft above the garage. It's less than 10 min to closest metro station that leads directly to Stockholm (University/Natural History Museum). Would stay here again.

William and Sannah are wonderful, friendly, and helpful hosts, we wholeheartedly recommend a stay with them in their lovely appartment! We felt at home right away. Thanks to a good wifi-connection I was able to work, while the kids went running, fishing etc An ICA Supermarket is close by on Resarø, more supermarkets, Cafés, restaurants Are also close in Vaxholm. We enjoyed being Williams and Sannahs guests and would love to return one day to explore the area and possibilities further 🙂

To put it briefly, we were immediately enthusiastic about this little holiday home! Superbly equipped, beautifully furnished, super quiet and with incredibly friendly hosts. There was really nothing left to be desired here! Highly recommended, in the middle of the countryside in Sweden but also not too far from great locations such as Sigtuna, Uppsala and Stockholm. We love Sweden and would immediately move back into Caroline's vacation home. Really cozy and also an absolute bargain in terms of price!
