Chalet vacation rentals in Unken

The three of us (one adult and two teenagers) spent a wonderfully relaxing week here. Christoph is a great and uncomplicated host who responds very promptly to questions. The cottage itself is exactly as described. The journey is via a narrow path (on which two riders met us upon our arrival, which led to a not so easy "reverse driving action"). Behind the house, a stream splashes, but you can't hear it with the windows closed (although I'm quite sensitive to noise), in front of the house, a hiking trail passes by that we used for two tours ("Hochebene Maria Elend - Kapelleralm Runde von Embach" and "Spektakulärer Skywalk - Taxenbach-Wasserfall Runde von Taxenbach" ... just check Komoot). The mountain golf course (clubs and balls are available in the information office in the village) is also fun. Culinary, the pizzeria Langreiter is highly recommended. The only sticking point: the bunk bed for people > 1.90 m.

Florian is a great host. His cabin is romantic and practical at the same time. Located on a beautiful sunny slope, it was an ideal starting point for wonderful days of skiing for us. The panoramic view is beautiful at any time and mood. The cabin has everything we needed with its furnishings and was both original and familiar at the same time. We were completely happy.

It was great! The kids and I loved it and we would love to come back. The view was fantastic and the house is beautifully renovated. The host super nice. Thank you for a wonderful stay! ♥️🇦🇹

We had a lovely stay at Haus Schiefer. Check-in was flexible and easy. The entire place was very clean and everything you need was there, incl. Cooking and grilling utensils, you almost feel at home. The spa area was spacious and as described. Despite other guests, we also had some moments to ourselves. On our first day, however, the sauna was already switched off shortly after 9 PM (instead of 10 PM), which was a pity for us as we were only able to arrive in the early evening. The app was very helpful for hiking tips and also answered any questions about the services. I might have wanted an extra towel for the sauna (without extra charge), I just recommend taking a towel and bathrobe with you - otherwise they can also be rented for an extra charge. I find the check-out at 10 AM a bit early, but I also understand that it takes time to clean the place. We will be happy to come back!

It was just wonderful! We really enjoyed our family vacation with our 1.5 year old son! The apartment is very cozy, super equipped and large. Everything was sparkling clean. Unfortunately, we didn't discover the great flexibility until two days before departure, because it was really great! Thanks to the Wildschönau Card, we were able to use all gondola lifts for free. It was really great and we look forward to next time!

The beautiful, modern and bright cottage of Peter and his wife is really worth a trip and a stay. It is super spacious and very cozy. It really nice to linger! And on top of that, the surroundings are also simply picturesque and offers everything your heart desires. The hosts go out of their way to make the stay really wonderful! The communication is great, the equipment in the house of high quality and at very high quality. Nothing is missing! The ad really matches what's offered! Great! Thank you!

We were a larger group, two generations and it fit perfectly. The house is very spacious and cozy. Everything is available for cooking and grilling. And for hiking, there is something for every performance group. The area is beautiful. Absolutely recommend!

Premium Chalet with Premium equipment, super-clean and having all amenities as descri ed.

Our group had a lovely time, perfect getaway ski trip. The house is as advertised, very clean, great views and is in pristine condition overall. The hosts were very nice and helpful throughout our stay whenever we needed to reach out to them. There's plenty of slopes near by to choose from, one within walking distance but a car is recommended to have around even tho there are ski busses. Some shops and restaurants are nearby incl ski rentals. Overall a great experience in a lovely location with great hosts. We'll probably try to come back in the future as an even bigger group.

Five of us stayed here in March '25 and went skiing in the local area. The house is very nicely finished and has a very comfortable setup. Mostly we cooked for ourselves but one evening we walked around the corner to the "Restaurant Zur Glitzernden Lederhos'n", which I can also recommend. The local ski area is great too. Overall, a super experience and we hope to come back to stay here again!

Location is fantastic. Very close to the lifts to go up to the mountain, which we did daily. The design of the property is very modern and really offers a high degree of relaxation. Peter was most excellent and helped us with everything that we needed. Always again.

Superb housing in a very convenient location, with an incredible view of the mountains. The house was spotless, perfectly prepared when we arrived, and very well maintained. Everything was in line with the description. Communication with Julian was very smooth and efficient; everybody was very helpful. We can only recommend it.

Such a great stay! The location couldn´t have been better - super convenient and the views were absolutely beautiful. The house was really clean and cozy, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Only heads up: if you like big towels or plan to cook a lot, it might be worth bringing an extra large towel and a kitchen towel or two. Would definitely come back - highly recommended!

We were very lucky with this place. We had to spontaneously cancel a place to stay because it didn't match the description and was super dirty. Then we found this gem and what luck - it was still available! The host immediately got down to business and cleaned the accommodation top, nice reception and everything around it just top. Super amenities, old barn converted to high quality, great location, just 10 minutes to the ski resorts. Super friendly landlord and a real recommendation!

We had a wonderful stay at Philipps Chalet! The place was absolutely great – very clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking and creates a relaxed atmosphere. The location is perfect, especially for hikers, cyclists or anyone who just wants to relax. The contact with Snejana was smooth, easy and very nice – the process was also straightforward and pleasant. I highly recommend this place to stay and would come back anytime. Thank you for letting us enjoy the time in your chalet!

The four of us had a wonderful extended weekend in this place and can fully recommend it. There was absolutely nothing to fault! The hosts were very helpful in advance and communication was excellent. 5 stars in all areas!

The accommodation was really great. Super kid friendly and great location. There is another house between the house and the lake, but there is still direct access to the lake. It's also really great and great cooling in the summer. The owners are always available and available in the restaurant next door (this is also highly recommended!).

It was a wonderful stay. We were there with 4 people and a dog. The place is very clean, the beds and towels were fresh and washed. 🫧 We liked the sauna in the bathroom best, which was extremely easy to use and the perfect relaxation after long days of hiking. 😍 The view (directly onto the reservoir with the mountains around) as well as the privacy was just as beautiful. However, you have to accept that the nearest supermarket, etc., is 17 km away. But we would take this over and over again for such a great place to stay.🥹 The house has everything you need.🤗 The communication was also great, as was the descriptions. There is no even better price-performance ratio. Thank you for this lovely getaway.❤️

Nice place for holiday close to cableway. We had a good time here.

The cottage was easily accessible. Check-in and check-out are very straightforward. Unfortunately we had very bad weather, but when we entered the house it was nice and warm and very comfortable. That is why we enjoyed staying indoors and enjoyed our time there. Each room had its own bathroom with toilet, which is really great. Overall, we had a great stay. Absolutely recommended.

Our stay at the Steinbock was a complete success. The place was clean, cozily furnished and equipped with everything you need. We especially liked the quiet location with the wonderful view – perfect for relaxing. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and always easily accessible. We immediately felt welcome. The area also offers many great opportunities for hiking and exploring. We will be happy to come back!

We were lucky enough to take a week of winter vacation in Charlet Kreuzkogel. Already when we entered the house, we all felt very comfortable. The sauna of the fireplace and the quiet just outside location, made our stay perfect. Everything is within walking distance and was just ideally located for us with two dogs. We will be happy to come back next year.

We really liked the Steinbock Lodge as a group of 8 people! You are accommodated in a picturesque landscape where you can hike extremely well and where a lot can be discovered on your own 🏔️ We found it wonderfully quiet and relaxing to be in the small town away from the city, as you could really enjoy nature there. The amenities were as indicated and shown in the pictures - we felt right at home 🏠 The furnishings and features (such as underfloor heating or pellet stove) were a very big plus. Even with 8 people, we had no major problems with the bathroom layout, as 3 were available. Technically, everything is really up to date (down to the small details such as the labeled switches, drawers, etc.) with still rustic, cozy interior. We definitely recommend the place and will also be happy to come back!
