Vacation rentals with lake access in Ulster County

It was a great weekend getaway with my husband. A charming, clean cabin with a deck that overlooks an open meadow surrounded by woods. The kitchen had pretty much all we needed -- pots and pans, plates and bowls and utensils. My husband thought the pod coffee machine with an ample supply of coffee pods was a welcome bonus. I loved the skylights upstairs but if you plan to sleep in, bring a sleep mask. A short walk down the hill takes you to the fire pit in the middle of the woods. If you plan to build a campfire, best to bring a bundle of firewood with you. One wish list item would be a fire pit closer to the cabin, with a metal grate for cooking over the campfire. The host was responsive and gave clear instructions. Overall a lovely experience.

Place was great and beautifully situated on the creek. We had a little winter storm overnight and SK was there in the morning to shovel and plow the walks and driveways. Fridge had some eggs in it which were very welcome for breakfasts! Thank you SK!

Beautiful location, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean home with a lot of thoughtful amenities provided. And the town, which is a short drive from the home, is very charming with lots of cute shops and great dining options. The only couple of flags are the bedrooms are all side by side and the walls are thin, so be prepared to be aware of the movements of all staying in the house (or bring headphones). And they’re not joking when they say the neighbors are close, like RIGHT next to you on both sides, and sound definitely travels easier on the water. We were grilling one night and could hear every word the couple next door to us spoke as they had their evening wine on their deck. So just keep that in mind if you’re seeking deep privacy or have a noisier group. But overall a lovely and peaceful stay in a beautifully appointed home. I’d be happy to come back.

This was a 12/10 experience! My girlfriend and I both brought out two pups and loved every second of our stay. Every corner we turned was a new decoration in the house that caught our eye, so creative and fun!! Soaked up the back yard, fire pit, and water! We will definitely be returning!!

The place is peaceful and a good and solid base to explore Legoland and the beautiful trails and foliage in the area. Richard and Maryann were great, and we are very grateful that Richard helped prepare a fire for us. Just remember to buy some firewood at the local gas station. Easy walk down to the beautiful lake where they keep a small rowboat for use. It rained unfortunately when we were set to go boating so we missed out. Saved for future Legoland visits!

Great place - there is a lot of space! We appreciated the abundance of queen size beds. The shower in the master bath is very nice. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub and fire pit. The large dining room table easily accommodated our large group. The only negative was that the outdoor gas grill was in need of a good cleaning when we arrived. In summary, this is a great property for a large group.

We had a wonderful stay at this well-located house in the heart of beautiful Saugerties. The home was spotless, situated right across from the serene frozen lake. Our kids especially enjoyed the arcade games. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Chris was an amazing host! She was very accommodating and willing to help. The view from the apartment was beautiful. We had a great weekend.

Genuinely one of the most charming and delightful airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in! Julian was super communicative and he gave us plenty of suggestions for places to explore in the area. We will definitely be back!

I have really enjoyed my stay of 5 nights at Jean Marie's place. It is exactly as described and with very clear rules that are in fact just common sense. Jean Marie leaves you perfectly in peace but is always available when you need her. The property contained everything I need and was decorated in a wonderful very personal way, that makes you feel at home immediately. So yes, all the other reviews are totally correct, except of course the review of that one odd guest who thinks that leaving the airco/heater on all day is "normal". Haha, well done Jean Marie, thanks for all your loving energy and hope to be back again!

My friends and I stayed a night here . And we all loved it . It’s right by the water and has a nice vibe to it . It felt cozy and homey inside. Wished we would have stayed more. It’s in a very nice area with lot of friendly people .Wished it was a bit more affordable

The only bad thing about our stay was that we had to leave (⁠╯⁠︵⁠╰⁠,⁠) This was a beautiful little stay. We showed up cranky, and naturally we nitpicked all the problem we had with the space. Then we read the folder and realized the problems were all in our heads. We most appreciated the thorough descriptions on what to do about deer ticks. No matter where we visited within a 1hr driving radius, they were there. The tips on handle them changed the game. It rained for our entire trip, so we didn't get to explore the property. We thought this would be a bummer, but the space was a haven. We felt most at home. From the fireplace in the bedroom, to the candy and chocolate that kept us happy, to the beautiful, awe inspiring decor that reminded us of all the reasons why we took the trip, we are so thankful for this stay. We'll be returning for a conference after making some connections, and now we know we have a go to. No more searching. Thank you for a new NY home :)

We loved our stay here! Upon arriving, we had a minor issue getting in, but Chris was quick to respond and help us. The place is exactly as described. It was easy to find and is located in a peaceful area. The place was clean, and we had everything we needed for a two night stay. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Anais home was spacious, clean, open and airy with great natural light and outdoor space which worked really well for our two small families with one 6 year old and one infant. It included all the amenities including toys children’s books packnplay and a great little surprise playroom and open kitchen and living area. Very close to food shopping and an urgent care which we had to visit bc of a tick bite my husband got so the location came in handy. Unfortunately bound to happen in the woods! The town of Liberty did not seem to have much going on otherwise but close to Bethel Woods and other towns worth a visit. And staying at the house using the grill and playing worked out great for our young families.

We enjoyed the lovely cozy, private cottage with our family. It was a pleasure to have the animals nearby for the kids to interact with, a safe environment to roam in the woods, and very convenient to have the farm shop a few steps away for local eggs, meats, etc. The cottage was stylishly modern with a clean aesthetic and modern conveniences. Josh was very accessible via text/phone and checked in with us during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend to nature lovers, families, and those looking for a getaway in the woods!

Everything was perfect. I will come back again and Im gonna 100% recommend everybody.

We had a perfect weekend at Nadia’s house. The house was extremely well-styled, comfortable, and cozy. The multiple decks overlooking the river were beautiful, and we spent an entire day enjoying the sunshine, then the sunset, then a fire at night, all overlooking the water. It was extremely quick and easy to get an Uber into Kingston for a dinner out, and aside from that we felt no reason to leave the property. We hope to come back soon!

We loved our stay at Sarah-Melissa's cabin, and she was a wonderful host! The location is perfect both for hiking/outdoor activities and to check out some of her recommendations for restaurants. Sarah-Melissa was extremely friendly and proactive in providing detailed instructions for getting to the cabin, check-in, and recommendations for things to do. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the Catskills and highly recommend!

Comfortable and clean with beautiful scenery - on clear days, you get a Mountain view across the lake! Highly recommend.
