We do put dust control on the road in front of the home yearly. Come enjoy the simple life in this retro feeling farm home. Fully furnished with Atari, magic 8 ball DVD player MAXIMUM OF 4 guest-including kids, since this is a smaller home unless approved.

Originally built as The Buckley Hotel, this historic building has been brought back to life. What a beautiful place. My boyfriend and I went out for the weekend and loved it. It was super secluded as there was no sound of cars or traffic, also no neighbors. The dock and the pond were gorgeous and the fairly lights around the treehouse. There was a Greta market 3 minutes away too for food and anything we needed. One thing is that it doesn't have an oven and the stovetop smelt when heated.

My husband and I needed a place to stay just for a night and we are so glad we chose this place over a hotel! Lovely property, fun space, friendly hosts, and super stress free! Would definitely recommend!!

Rebecca’s cottage is indeed a tiny house, but it had everything I needed for a three day quilting retreat including space to set up my sewing machine. Although there is sleeping accommodation in the loft, I didn’t use that because of the ladder used to access. The daybed on the main floor was very comfortable for sleeping. The cottage is set back from a county highway. During the day there was a fair amount of traffic, but very quiet at night. Kingston is a very small community with few amenities that I could see other than a coffee shop. Nearby Polo had a grocery and at least one restaurant. A bit farther, but easily reached, Hamilton has several restaurants plus many quilt shops. I highly recommend the Quilter’s Retreat and would stay there again.

The options near Smithville Lake are limited but this location was close and peaceful. Sitting on the patio while the sun set was the best part! We like to gourmet cook on our girls trips and this location had a small kitchen with limited amenities, but we brought a lot of our own kitchen items. If your group requires private sleeping arrangements, this location is not for you. If a sleepover feel works for your group, you’ll feel right at home.
