Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Trafaria

We just finished a fabulous five night stay and highly recommend. Gui greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the home. It is a historic home so there are some quirks, though nothing crazy. The house was a perfect size for our party of 8 (ages 12-70). The location absolutely cannot be beat - we never walked more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go which was much appreciated at the end of the night! There is noise as the home is centrally located but that is a worthwhile trade off for the location. Washer (line dry) worked well and there were umbrellas, towels, sand toys, etc for the beach. We did not cook at the house so cannot provide a review but kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There is only AC in two of the rooms but there are shutters that help keep the heat of the day out and there were two fans available as well. Especially for the price and location, this is a great home for a large group.

Very good host! She welcomed us with a lot of information and good recommendations for restaurants and tours of Lisbon. The cleaning was impeccable. However, there was a smell of moisture present. Maybe just the concrete buildings that cause this, that we're not used to this smell in Quebec. The little private area is inviting! Thank you Annabella for your warm welcome!

The apartment is located in a very quiet location in Sintra and is equipped with everything you need for your stay. Very convenient private parking right in front of the entrance. Patricia is a really sociable and helpful person and welcomed us very warmly. Really a great experience ☺️

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

We loved our stay at Pedro & Ana's beach house, as did our one-year-old baby who felt right at home. The location is unbeatable with a direct view of the ocean and a short walk around the corner from the beach. Grocery stores are just a short 10-15 minute drive away. The backyard, hammock, and brand new grill were the perfect place to relax. Pedro & Ana were so welcoming and helpful, setting out a chilled bottle of wine for our arrival and sharing local recommendations with us. The kitchen could use some new pots/pans and cutting boards (we ended up buying our own to use) but otherwise is well equipped (e.g. hand blender, hand mixer, separate oven and microwave). And unlike other beach houses we've stayed at, there was no shortage of hot water! Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent stay at Jose’s flat! Pros 1. Location. Close to beautiful parks, metro, cafes, shops, the mall. Quiet. 2. Jose was very responsive to all questions 3. Spacious, clean, comfortable. 4. Great shower, hot water, good water pressure 5. Well equipped kitchen 6. AMAZING couch (it’s new!) 7. Incredible price given it has two bedrooms 8. Smart TV 9. Washing machine Cons 1. No AC. There are multiple fans to use but during hot weather, it wasn’t enough. This was a minor issue though, and when we come back to Lisbon again, we would love to stay here!

A perfect stay. Very clean house identical to the photos, located in a very quiet area and close to the beaches. Perfect for an extended weekend or even a week's vacation. The services offered are excellent. Very warm welcome, I would recommend it.

A Perfect Stay in Amora, Portugal! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The house in Amora was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly welcoming. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special—starting with the thoughtful welcome basket filled with local treats and essentials. Such a lovely touch! One of our favorite parts of the stay was the pool. It was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We also really appreciated the owner’s local recommendations—every spot they suggested was a hit, from charming cafes to hidden gems in the area. Thanks to their guidance, we discovered a nearby beach frequented mostly by locals—and it was absolute paradise. Quiet, stunning, and totally unspoiled. It made our trip even more magical. This rental truly felt like a home away from home. Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. We can’t wait to come back!

Prez is a great host. He took the time to explain the accommodation to us and gave us a multitude of local and tourist recommendations. We also loved the pool for the hot day. Quiet with lots of chairs and very refreshing A little further from the center but only 20 min walk to the tourist bus stop. I recommend it to everyone!

Little very cozy house in a fantastic place!

The place is very cute and the beach and how open and undeveloped the beach was is unlike anywhere else. We did three days of surf lessons from Caeser who is literally 100ft from the house down the beach and there is surfing right out your front door with board and wetsuit rentals.. The town itself is a little bleak and there wasn't much to do and we found if the weather was bad restaurants close very early (like 6pm) so just make sure to find out times if you are planning on eating out for dinner. Our family of four was in love (2 boys ages 7 and 10) but my in laws came too who are in their early 80s. I clearly wasn't thinking bc the walk to the house is through the sand and hard to navigate, my mother in law also couldn't get over the sand dune to go to the beach, and the stairs in the house are more like a ladder. so it's wonderful for able bodies but if you have someone with special needs it may not be suitable. but otherwise if you love surfing, beautiful sunsets book it!

Amazing stay here at Roberto’s place. He was very kind and met with us when we arrived to show us around. We used the parking spot in the garage below which was perfect for us. The location was very quiet and also convenient access to the supermarket downstairs. Not too far to Uber easily into Lisbon center. The apartment is beautiful! The art, the spaciousness, and the atmosphere are perfect. We enjoyed the space and Roberto’s thoughtful touch. It was very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed to be very comfortable. Great stay- defintely recommend!

Loved everything about this air BnB. Celso had thought of absolutely everything, probably the most well equipped air BnB we’ve ever stayed in. To wake up in the dunes and watch sunset from them was such a treat - hope to return again soon! Recommend avoiding heavy luggage and packing smaller overnight bags to make it easy getting from the car park to the air BnB. Would also recommend princesa beach club for lunch nearby, had a great day here.

My staybat Miguels apartment went flawless. Everything meet my expectations and was according to the description. The surrounding is very nice, next to the beach, lots of restaurants. I enjoyed every second of my stay. The host, Miguel, was very friendly and helpful with every question. Thank you.

This was our last stop in our 2 week journey through Portugal. It was a quick 10 min ride to the airport in the morning to catch our early flight. The unit was luxurious and the value is great. It would be an arm and a leg in the US. Train is a quick ride into old Lisbon. Host provided clear instructions. The parking garage was a big plus for our rental. Took a nice stroll to the soccer stadium and kids enjoyed the park in the building grounds.
