Beachfront vacation rentals in Thurston County

This our second stay and we hope to be able to return. The house is right on the water. At times, you look out of the living room (at high tide) and feel you might be on a boat. We were so grateful and happy to be there three weeks, and grateful to that the owners share so much: boats, standup paddle boards, sauna, coffee, tea. The house is clearly loved and cared for and it feels special to be inside of it. For those who don't know, Harstine Island is quiet. We loved running in the state parks (there are two), the Saturday summer farmer's markets, but also just loved walking along the beach by the house and reading on the deck. Five very big stars. It is truly heavenly.

This quiet and peaceful location offered space for rest, beautiful views and relaxation. The kitchen was well appointed for our holiday stay. We enjoyed the opportunity to have our dog with us for low-tide walks on the beachfront. We saw lots of wildlife including seals, waterfowl, and a few sea lions and eagles. Joanna was a helpful, communicative host. We look forward to returning in warmer weather when we can take advantage of paddling options.

A cozy, comfortable cottage in a breathtakingly beautiful location! Gazing out at the water each day from the deck and strolling along the waterfront were the most relaxing, peaceful experiences I've had in a long time. The cottage was stocked with just about everything I needed and Ben and Beth were friendly and accommodating hosts. My dog and I absolutely loved our time there!

This place is magical! I truly felt like I was on a vacation where I could just stay put and not leave the property whatsoever. The views are to die for and the marine life was sublime! Hope to come back again. I took my 20 something daughters and they both felt the same way. They kayaked and were kids again examining all the seashells, crabs, etc.

Relaxed and beautiful location for our family of 3 plus dog. The trek from the house to the beach was, fast and easy with the paddleboards - even the dog enjoyed being out on the water! Lots of room to hangout and have fun. The karaoke battle was pretty epic! Thanks Mike & Eva!

We booked the house for a quiet holiday getaway and were very pleased with the choice. Extremely peaceful and beautiful location, very well-stocked kitchen, descriptive instructions for how to use all of the amenities including the relaxing hot tub, and even some historical detail about the island made us feel right at home. Would absolutely recommend!

This was such a lovely weekend. Our weather surprised to the upside so we spent so much time outdoors stand up paddle boarding and kayaking on this small, lovely, and very calm lake. The cabin is next to a wetland so birds were plentiful and we listened to them while we enjoyed the lake and sun all weekend. Once the sun went down we were able to enjoy the outdoor heaters and the fire table with a glass of wine. Jenn provided the most thorough instruction booklet I have ever seen at a rental and the cabin was full of informative signage and instructions. Plenty of hot water, towels and supplies. Very comfortable and easy to watch a movie, cook dinner, and rest easy. There are other cabins on the lake but it’s very quiet. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. This cute little 1950s cabin has been renovated and is light, bright and very comfortable. Check in was easy and the cabin felt very secure. We would 100% stay again and recommend the hosts.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning location—just steps from the sand with breathtaking ocean views. The house itself was *immaculate*, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The open-concept of BBQ area was perfect for sunset dinners and morning coffees with the sound of waves in the background. Our host James was **amazing**—responsive, welcoming, and full of local tips. Little touches like fresh towels, beach gear, and a welcome basket made us feel right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were cozy, and pit fire at BBQ area was a touch of clams. This is the kind of place Ill definitely returning to. Thanks James and Kim!

This place was absolutely amazing!!! Perfect location with very beautiful scenic views. We were able to see MT. Rainier from the back deck. House was very clean and cozy. Very peaceful as well. Like a little slice of heaven. Definitely did not want to leave.

Absolutely lovely retreat hidden away from city busyness. This was our first Airbnb and we were favorably impressed. The beautiful lakeside setting allows for outdoor dining and relaxation and the cottage is a treat...wonderfully appointed! Mary and Dwight are available if needed but we both easily respected each other's privacy due to the setting. A gem!

A hidden gem! Dan and Shelly are great; very responsive. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed sunning ourselves on the loungers, keeping our eyes peeled for wildlife! The RV was pristine. The recliners were very comfortable. We cooked and had no problem, but it is a small space. The bed is firm, but I slept very well. It takes a few minutes to secure an Uber, but we had no trouble. Highly recommended, I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Ryan’s waterfront cottage! The place is cozy, comfy and welcoming. Big windows with views of the lake are amazing. We got to see the fall leaves changing across the lake and the back yard is spectacular to play or just hangout and enjoy the lake. The place is well stocked for cooking, cleaning ect. For an extended stay. Location is great, close to everything and a two hour drive to Mount Rainier NP. Great local parks and farmers markets near by too. Ryan was great with communication and accommodating any questions. We hope to stay again if we’re back in the area.

Great hosts and location. Spectacular lake spot, even got to see a couple of bald eagles flying nearby. There was an area power outage while there and they reached out to see if we needed any flashlights. Unit doesn't have A/C but shouldn't be an issue during normal temperatures in the area. We had days in the 90s and upper 80s which made it warm, but it cooled down during the evening with the provided fans and open windows. It is next to great park with a swimming beach.

We really enjoyed Amanda's place. The cabin is beautiful and the surroundings can't be beat. The cabin is set within the forest with views of the bay and is very relaxing and peaceful. It's also very close to downtown Olympia for those looking to explore the city. Couldn't recommend enough!

The house and cottage are comfortable and lovely, and the views of Eld Inlet and Mt Rainier are fabulous! We enjoyed the hot tub and being just steps away from the beach where we saw otters pass by one morning and lots of bird life. Our family enjoyed making our meals and eating on the large, beautiful deck - a highlight! A special place - we hope to return.

This is a nice place in a beautiful setting. It's close to Olympia but far enough away to truly feel outside of the city.

We had a glorious time at Brian and Cassie’s place in Olympia, WA. The house looks and feels like a page from Architectural Digest. Each bedroom had its own vibe or theme, so our multi-generational family delighted in choosing which room would best fit each individual or couple. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking ware, and appliances. We enjoyed staying in and cooking rather than trying to find a restaurant to accommodate a larger party. I highly recommend using the fire pit for a s’more dessert! Everything about the design of the home gave the feel of a luxury vacation but the biggest take away for all of us will be the location. This home is right on Budd Inlet. The large picture windows in the living room gave us a breathtaking view of the water and kept us entertained with the daily sea life drama starring harbor seals, sea otters, and a variety of water birds. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Brian and Cassie for taking good care of us!

We really love the place. My family really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again if possible in the near future. Great place and the host was really nice and kind. our only problem.was finding the place when we first got there. The bushes or leaves covered the house numbers so it was kind of difficult to find them in the dark. Other than this, the place was wonderful.and clean. Thank you all for everything!

Our family of 12 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront home! The space was more than enough for everyone to be comfortable, with plenty of beds and room to spread out. Even our grandmother, who uses a walker, was able to get around the house with ease, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved the fire pit and used it every night—such a cozy spot to relax and unwind after a day of activities. The location was also perfect for attending St. Martin’s Graduation, just a short and easy drive away. The house was clean, well-equipped, and full of great amenities like the hot tub, sports court, and private dock. The hosts have clearly put thought into creating a fun yet peaceful getaway, and we really appreciated the care they put into the home. Highly recommend for large families or groups looking for a relaxing lakeside retreat!

This place is all about the views. We loved chilling on the porch, watching the seals bob their heads, ostensibly diving for shellfish. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous. The house itself is spacious and well-equipped, and our large family group felt comfortable and at home.

This place was wonderful and we will be back only thing I had a struggle with was their bbq it didn’t work otherwise 10/10 Would recommend this !
