Vacation rentals with beach access in Thurso

A perfect spot for two. It’s a quirky place that showcases privacy, peace and stunning vistas. Robert was friendly, helpful and responsive.

We stayed in the Loft. It was fantastic and cozy fireplace, full kitchen and comfy beds. There is a sweet cat on site always looking for a head scratch and just down the road is a standing stone, sandy (I’ll be it cold lol) beach, and ruins just behind the church. Stunning location and amazing owners. They really care about what they do and are quick with support and enthusiasm for the area. Would happily book this place again and again.

Eine wunderbare und herzliche Gastgeberin an einem der schönsten Orte, die Schottland zu bieten hat. Die Unterkunft ist mehr als vollständig ausgestattet und wirklich groß. Vom Esstisch aus kann man auf das Wasser schauen. Zu sehen sind ein wunderschöner Sandstrand, ein kleiner Hafen, kleine Inseln und auch mal Segelboote. Eine wirklich hübsche Bucht. Anfänglich fühlte es sich an, als wären wir in der Wohnung einer anderen Person und diese kommt jede Minute nach Hause. So fühlte es sich schnell auch für uns wohnlich an. Die Betten waren auch sehr bequem.

Lynn’s place was perfect for our stay. We had a trip over to the Orkneys booked and her place was very convenient to get to the ferry. The home itself was well stocked and included a few extra goodies. Everything was beautifully presented being both clean and comfortable. She had a table of brochures of local attractions / interests also. Best of all tho, there were no steps to the bedrooms! Lynn is up there with the best as a host. Highly recommended to take up her offer of hospitality.

Once again. Our second visit to The Noddle. Top review for this wonderful property. Lots of quirky lovely additions to the decor. The hosts fabulous artwork on the walls throughout were a delight. All we needed was at hand, and plenty of room for all 6 of us on our mahjong game tour. Clear instructions for all the carefully maintained heating units and other electrical appliances and all wall switches/sockets clearly labelled. Lovely maintained house and garden-including the 'secret garden'. A great decking with comfy chairs to sit in the sunshine and listen to nature... and count the bunnies! What more can I say.? Thank you Tony and Penny for letting us stay in this wonderful place.

The place to stay in the area. If it's free, book it. Perfect location with amazing sunsets over the water each night. Easy to get in and out of the driveway. Well stocked kitchen, excellent shower, the bed in the first room is super comfortable [only one used], and the sun room was perfect to relax in. Little garden out front for the dogs and a nice picnic table to eat outside. Overall a wonderful place.

My friends and I loved the space and light and comfort of the Kirk. We came all the way from Norfolk on trains and ferries and fell in love with the land and seas and community of Hoy. The peace is deep here ... no background hum. I love to see the sea around me. We cycled over to Rackwick Bay which was exhilarating and went to cafe church at Emily's which was connecting. Outstanding cottage in a stunning location near the coastal path. Highly recommend circular walk coastal to the beach and back by road. Hosts were friendly and could not have been more helpful. Lunch at the Bettyhill cafe, the store bistro and bar was excellent 👍 Superb base to explore the North Coast.

We had a lovely stay at Linda’s cottage. The welcome package was so thoughtful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. The view from the cottage is stunning, and the walk to the beach idyllic. Would wholly recommend for a stay where you are looking to disconnect! Fires at night were cozy, and reading outside during the day. Thanks again for everything!

The Old Coast Guard station is a fantastic place to stay and as a base for the NC500. The house is recently renovated to a high standard, is very clean/fresh and has the most beautiful views of the bay and harbour. We traveled with our pup as it is very dog friendly with an enclosed garden and lots of places and beaches to walk nearby. Helmsdale is a nice village with local shops, pub and restaurants only an hour from John o Groats and minutes to lovely beaches. Undoubtedly one of the best holiday homes we have stayed - the views from the balcony are amazing.

Wir waren vor der Überfahrt auf die Orkneys eine Nacht bei Caroline und Caravan der Caravan hat vollständig unsere Bedürfnisse erfüllt.
