Fab Artist’s house - 94Mbps with free breakfast

HeleneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I was attracted by the beautiful pictures Sonhild posted of her “Fab Artist’s House” and I booked the riad for 4 nights for me and my family. After booking, Sonhild was very responsive to the myriad questions I had and sent comprehensive descriptions of the riad, things to do, places to see, and favorite eateries in the medina. She clearly loved Fes and wanted her guests to have a great experience. In her communications, Sonhild also introduced us to Said, the person who manages the riad and takes care of the guests on a daily basis. He met us at the train station, arranged for two mini-taxis to get us to the medina, made sure we were situated and comfortable in the riad, made an incredible breakfast each morning with Amina, his wonderful wife, made suggestions about what to see, and even rescued us when we got lost in the medina. Said, I must say, was amazing and one of the kindest people and purest of souls. He added a very human touch to our experience in Fes.

The riad was beautiful and the location was perfect! The room was beautifully decorated, and the center garden was a lovely spot to have breakfast. The staff were helpful and kind. I would recommend this space for anyone looking to stay in Fez in a quiet area of the medina.

Dar Benares

XochiltRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful stay at Dar Benaress. Mohammed and Nabilla are amazing hosts. Before we arrived, Mohammed asked if we’d like a list of things to do in and near Fes that he could arrange. It was our first time in Fes so we opted for both of the local tours and the hammam. We could not recommend them more and were so pleased we did those. The tours were informative and our guide helped us shop and took great care of us. Another option we arranged for was the home cooked meal. We initially thought we’d do that only one night, but Nabilla is such an extraordinary chef that we did it an additional two nights we were there of our four night stay. The riad itself is as beautiful and charming and magical as the pictures show. If not more. Amenities were as said. We couldn’t figure out the AC but the weather was fine so we didn’t bother to ask. The location is wonderful and Nabilla and Mohammed were very accommodating on arrival and when going on excursions. Would be lovely to visit again.
The interior features vibrant blue walls complemented by intricate architectural details, including arched doorways. Two spacious beds with colorful throws are positioned on textured tiled flooring, alongside a round wooden table. Light is softly illuminated by a hanging lantern, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.

Al-Andalous house in Chefchaouen’s medina

Poi LinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Maria was very responsive. Mustafa was helpful but not familiar with google map location sharing as I still need to call him after I reached Hotel Madrid for meet up. Mustafa had the foresight to come with a young chap to move our luggage (at a fee) up the 31 steps from Hotel Madrid/Galitos. Much appreciated. It is 18 steps down if you took the route beside the kasbah from the square (but my friends got lost trying to find this route and had to exit the Medina to find Galitos and get back to the Dar). It is a three-storey Dar with a bathroom on each floor. The bathroom and toilet on the roof top felt a bit exposed. Very nice views from the roof top but Chefchaouen has too much light to take photos of stars. We love the rooms except that two of the rooms can hear thumping throughout the night. Seems that a neighbour does his heavy work after midnight. The bathroom on the second floor has flooring much higher than the kitchen flooring. Got to be careful go up and down that bathroom.

Chic & Traditional Riad_ Close to Souks & Monuments

Sabine Suzana YasminaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A simply unforgettable family stay in this magnificent Riad in the heart of Fez. Upon arrival, we were charmed by the beauty of the place, mixing Moroccan authenticity and refinement. The Riad is a haven of peace, tastefully decorated and full of this unique magic that only the Fez medina can offer. Abdelali and his entire team were very attentive from start to finish. Their sincere hospitality, availability and attention to every detail made us feel at home. You immediately feel that this Riad has been thought out with passion: every corner breathes the love of a job well done, and Abdelali's soul is present at all times. The terrace offers stunning views of the Fez medina, a breathtaking panorama, especially at sunrise. The rooftop jacuzzi delighted the children, who spent moments of joy and relaxation there while we enjoyed the serenity of the place. Everything is perfect!
A rooftop terrace is presented, featuring comfortable seating adorned with orange and cream cushions. A low table is set with traditional Moroccan tea and snacks. Lush greenery and a clay planter add a natural touch against the backdrop of the cityscape under a clear blue sky.

double bedroom, private bathroom and breakfast

PaulienRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Riad Drissia for 4 nights. And it was great. Fortunately, the room had air conditioning because it was around 38 degrees outside. We had a transfer taxi through the host and our host Khalid picked us up to walk into the medina. A few minutes' walk and we were there! He was always available and helped with ideas and gave tips on what was fun to do. We had a wonderful walk through the medina and were amazed!! What colors and smells. It is a fantastic experience. Friendly people. Delicious food for little and beautiful old buildings that you could look at for 2€. Also did a day trip to the ancient ruins and Meknes. Khalid also took us to the boarding place. Khalid is really a great guy. He provided us with local breakfast and really made our stay fantastic. We took the small bathroom into account in the purchase. We will never forget this experience. Thank you Khalid. If we go to Fes again, we will come back to Riad Drissia

Charming 1-Bedroom/Eco in a Cozy Riad with Pool

MélanieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Riad very well located in the medina. The upstairs terrace and pool are very pleasant. I would this property. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, which is not very local with industrial products (orange juice, jams, honey), it's a shame knowing how excellent Moroccan products can be.
An indoor pool is surrounded by intricate tile work and lush greenery. A staircase adorned with ornate railings leads to the upper level, with natural light illuminating the area. Decorative motifs and potted plants enhance the tranquil atmosphere of the space.

Private room in: riad – Fez, Morocco

Our stay at Rachid’s place was great. The entire staff were very nice, helpful, and easy to talk to. Everything smelled good and the building was clean, with the rooms in neat order. The breakfast provided was tasty and left us full in to the afternoon. And finally, both inside the building and outside was always very quiet with the bed being really comfortable! I’d highly recommend staying here if choosing to stay in the Medina.

Traditional riad in the medina: quadruple room

Wow, a beautiful riad in the heart of the Medina, just off one of the main roads in the Medina which made it very easy to get around without getting lost. The staff were very attentive and provided great service. For dinner one night we had a couscous chicken tagine which was delicious. A little expensive, but delicious. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

RM03-RMILA MEDINA FEZ, 2P, comp.Bathroom

SoizicRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Property ideally located in the historic medina of Fez, right next to the Chouara tannerie and the various souks and tourist places. Our host was very welcoming and helpful as soon as we arrived, willingly recommending places to visit and pointing out places to eat nearby. The bedroom and shared bathroom were very clean, and the riad overall very pretty and richly decorated with local crafts. We recommend this place if you want to immerse yourself in the medina during the day and look for a place or come back in the evening to sleep!

Spacious apartment suitable for 2 families

DouglasRating, 5 stars25 months ago
My family and I had a wonderful time here! Great location with easy aces to shops and restaurants, but also nestled on a quiet side street so there wasn’t noise at night. The woman and young girl were such a blessing - they were kind, helpful, made DELICIOUS breakfast for us each morning, and loved playing with our two small children! The entire staff were very nice and helpful - when we departed, they even helped us take our luggage to our parked car outside the blue gate. Before arrival, communicating with Youssef was very easy. He always quickly replied, and when we asked for a baby cot in our room and fridge to store our baby’s milk in, both were already set up when we arrived - this was extremely helpful! Highly recommend!! We would definitely stay here again!! The only suggestions would be to (1) update the address (should be 42 Derb Bni Aich instead of 42 Derb Serraj), and (2) get a luggage cart to use for getting luggage and packages from the Riad back to the parked car.
