It is in a quite north end of Meadville neighborhood has a separate entrance and separate one car garage parking space. My house is off of Interstate Hwy 79 between Interstates 90 and 80, 40 minutes south of Erie, PA and 90 minutes north of Pittsburgh. It is 4 blocks downhill from Allegheny College.

The timbers were sawed at a local hemlock mill. The exterior is made of boards we had milled from old pines along US Hwy 322. Even the stones we laid for the fireplace once splashed in a local creek.

The Keurig wouldn’t turn on so we sent her a message, and she had a new one delivered to the house within a half hour early on a Saturday morning. Great for a small family. Joanna is an amazing host! She answered all questions and was very accommodating. We were shocked with how spacious and inviting the home was. There were indoor and outdoor activities provided for the kids. Additionally there is an awesome Blackstone grill and Solo fire pit. We came for a night to Amanda’s place and we fell in love. From the decor, to the fully stocked amenities, the very thoughtful touches of a home away from home, we had everything we needed for a good night with friends. Amanda left us eggs and we enjoyed them for breakfast, as well as a fire before we left. As a book lover I would be remiss if I did not mention the absolute treasures Amanda has on her shelves. We came to get out of the city and this was the perfect respite. Next time we’re bringing our own food to cook in this fully stocked, gorgeous home. The town is full of local, rural folk and the local bbq restaurant, while their food was good, it’s not the vibe for us city dwellers. We’re forever fans of the chickens and duck drama we were witness to, so much main clucking characters competing. Thank you Amanda, for the best experience.
