The Hickory House

We are still in the process of finishing the home to get it up to 100% but we felt it was ready to offer a safe and comfortable place for a family to stay and enjoy a swim in the pool for a night or two. Please pardon the little imperfections it does have. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. It’s only 3 miles from Walmart and all the local fast food restaurants. We have 3 rooms total. 2 queen beds and 1 bedroom with bunk beds and a twin bed.

Full kitchen, large porch for outdoor dining, master suite on main level. Beds: 1 California king, 2 queens, 3 fulls, 1 twin. Baths: 1 full, a jack and jill (2 toilets & 2 sinks, one shower), and 1 half bath. Pool is open mid-April through mid-October, depending on weather.

This is a great space for a family looking to escape the busyness of life and give the kids a hands on farm experience. Guests can roam around on their own or tag along as we do our daily chores and learn about all of the different animals. There is a pond that you can fish, canoe, kayak, or paddle boat in. We also have a fire pit, above ground pool, and even a chapel to give you the relaxing getaway that we all need from time to time.

The start of this project was a box off a u haul truck. Now it is a cozy tiny home where animals come right up to the deck and you can enjoy sunsets over the pond. We love to have this place where families can come out and get away from the rat race of life and enjoy being out in nature. Guests are welcome to join us for whatever activities we are doing during your stay whether it’s working in the garden or caring for the animals.
