Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sveitarfélagið Ölfus

The apartment was very clean and cozy and in my opinion the location is very achievable in and out if you have a car and plan to take day trips in basically any direction. Kitchen i.e. had everything(and more) you need for cooking. Comfy sofa for relaxing after a long day out. Groceryshop is like 150m away and has a good selection of items including own section for vegan stuff. We had absolutely no issues during our residence here and would definately pick this one again in the future. Highly recommended

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

Comfortable bed, good shower, nice patio if the weather had permitted. Good location for visiting the Golden Circle and South Coast. Grocery store very close.

We were absolutely amazed when we walk in to the house. Hjordis’s house is even nicer than in to the photos! House was very stylish, clean and cozy and with all little details which were waiting there for us we were really amazed. There were also provided everything you should need during your stay here. Also instructions was very clear so we didn’t have a problem with anything. It was also great location for our shorter Icelandic trip and we catch everything we wanted to see from there.

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes , gut ausgestattetes und sauberes Haus . Sehr ruhige Lage und von hier aus ist der Golden Circle wunderbar entspannt zu erkunden . Es gibt in Selfoss sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Trausti ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

The most aesthetic, cozy cabin we've stayed in. What a charming little place! Keep in mind it's full windows and is in the backyard of Helga's place so privacy was a little difficult unless you keep the shades down but then you don't get enjoy the full glass look. Everything was clean and tidy and felt like home to stay in. Also keep in mind that if you go in summer with late sunsets and early sunrises the upper windows have no shades so you always have sunlight coming in at all hours of the day, bring a sleep mask because this place is worth it!

Björgvin reagiert schnell auf Nachrichten und hat flexibel und freundlich auf unsere veränderten Anreisezeiten reagiert. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ruhig, auf der kleinen Terrasse sitzt man gut. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet. Für Netflix-Fans sind der Gastzugang und das große TV-Gerät sicherlich von Vorteil. In der Küche fehlten uns ein paar Kochutensilien. Für Besucher, die eher Essen gehen wohl nicht relevant. Ich empfehle Björgvin als Gastgeber.

I had such a great stay in Elva's apartment. It is very very cozy, with access to almost everything you could need during a short stay. Although it is in a somewhat quiet residential area there are still a few places to eat and grocery stores a short walk away. The bus stop was also only a 2 minute walk away, with access to the city centre at all times. The apartment was very clean, everything was easy to access and I couldn't have found a better place to end my vacation in.

We've stayed here twice now and again it's absolutely amazing, the scenery, the apartment, the host all amazing and nothing to complain about. one of the best places I've ever stayed at.

Ottar’s apartment was perfect for my stay - I was able to prepare some meals there and not have to dine out all the time. A grocery store is a short walk and finding parking was easy. The apartment is clean and in a quiet neighborhood, which made for a pleasant stay. Óttar was flexible on check-in time and was quick to respond to my questions. A good host and a comfortable, conveniently located apartment!

Appartement parfait, Idéalement placé dans un quartier très calme et paisible de Reyjavik, à proximité des axes principaux facilement accessibles et des commerces. Aucun problème pour se garer. L'appartement est moderne, très propre, bien chauffé et équipé (nous n'avons manqué de rien). La literie est vraiment confortable. L'arrivée a été très fluide et volontiers flexible de part les dispositifs simples d'utilisation. Anna est très réactive et nous a fourni toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin. En somme, je recommande fortement cet appartement, tout à fait conforme au photo, idéal pour un séjour en Islande. J'y reviendrai sans hésiter.

We enjoyed staying at Ragnar's place. It was exactly as pictured and was great for getting around to all the sites. Ragnar is very kind and helped us when we had something go wrong. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed and the bathroom was very big and clean.

Die Ferienwohnung entspricht voll und ganz der Beschreibung. Sie liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend am Stadtrand von Reykjavik. Alles was man braucht, ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Parken vor der Tür ist kein Problem.

Amazing stay! The condo was so spacious, quiet, and clean - it had everything we needed! The shower was huge compared to hotels and other Airbnbs we stayed at in Iceland. Only an 8 minute drive to Sky Lagoon and a 10 minute drive into the city center. Would recommend this place to anyone!

A perfect spot to crash and/or work with easy access to Reykjavik city and outlying areas. Would absolutely recommend and would look to stay again. Thank you!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach ein Traum, schick und modern eingerichtet, alles was man braucht ist da. Es war sauber und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht ist natürlich ein Highlight, welches wir jeden Morgen beim Frühstücken genossen haben. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

Great apartment, great owner

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

The stay was very pleasant. The location was good and convenient. The space was very clean and comfortable and instructions and all communication was clear.

Highly recommended! Had the most beautiful views of the city and ocean. Very comfortable space and Magnus was very responsive. Will come back for sure!
