Chalet vacation rentals in Südsteiermark

It was great! The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful surroundings, but that's not possible. Bernhard is a great host and spontaneously drove us to the cabin because our friends were not yet there by car. Warning, a city car (Skoda Citygo) cannot make the climb up to the cabin! We had to spontaneously rent another car). Otherwise a very nice stay in the mountains.

A beautiful house in a quiet location, surrounded by forest and nature – an ideal place to escape from everyday life. The house is beautifully decorated, fully equipped and super clean. The yard is spacious and great for hanging out and has amenities for all ages – both children and adults. We especially enjoyed the view and quiet. Any recommendations!

Cottage is beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is extremely clean. I would recommend it for a few nights stay or even longer, we were sad to leave after four days.

We had the most amazing stay in this chalet. It was very clean and well equipped for a very relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The scenery is beautiful and I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone. The family are very friendly and we loved the sheep surrounding the property fence, they were so fun to watch. We enjoyed the opportunity to take beautiful hikes directly from the house. Likewise, the proximity to nature at the edge of the forest with the unique opportunity to observe animals and stars. Since it rained a lot for once, we were glad that we could stay in the house, feel good and benefit from the view of the valley through the full-length glass front. Also suitable for leisurely bike rides along the Mur. For something more athletically ambitious, also from the house along the wine route to Slovenia. Graz, which is beautiful, is about 40 minutes away by car. Approximately 6 km from the house is a beautiful swimming lake in Gamlitz. Gabriel gave us good tips for food and drinks and proved to be a good host. Thanks again for that!

Not only the house, but the whole village offers peaceful winter wonderland. The house is equipped with all necessary amenities and it gives an instant feeling of being at home. There was not a single thing we missed.

A dream come true for anyone who wants to have their peace! Incredibly beautiful nature and deserted at this time of year. It was a dream, the hot tub is a real highlight! The host is great to reach by phone and leaves nothing to be desired. We would come again with our two hunves!

It was an absolute dream stay in the so-called Schilcherland Chalet! After many bookings in other accommodations, we can say that this was by far our best experience. From the hospitality, to the fairytale premises, to the small, unexpected details that always put a smile on your face, everything was perfect! Baskets with fabulous breakfast from regional products, where every additional request is also fulfilled, were at the door every day at the desired time. Great views, nature, sauna, heated pool, hot tub, gym, wine bar with delicious selection... everything for private use... I can only warmly recommend the accommodation to everyone and if anyone has doubts whether it is really as beautiful as in the photos... it is even more beautiful! Dear Gert and dear Sabine, thanks again for the wonderful days :) As I said: We will definitely come back!!!

Beautiful place, immaculate inside and out. The view is breathtaking.

The only negative thing about our stay was that it was just way too short;) We enjoyed the time incredibly! There were no wishes left unfulfilled and Gerald welcomed us very warmly as a host. The surroundings are just awesome, whether hiking in the hills behind the house or chilling by the lake or paddling with the rowboat or, or, or... just beautiful!

Gerald is an extremely accommodating host! Our accommodation was simply adorably furnished, we felt like we were in an English cottage. The large glazed sitting/sleeping berth offers a sunny and cozy place to read and relax - a real favorite spot! The private lake access is of course also awesome, whether in summer or winter. Overall, a place you'd love to come back to!

We were able to recharge our batteries in Gerald's cozy apartment. The area was absolutely quiet and perfect for long walks with our dog. Communication with Gerald was extraordinarily good. He was committed to transparency at all times and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful time! We will be happy to come back!

We found it very nice, especially with the lake access and the SUPs to borrow, it was really great! In the evening, we always had the opportunity to make a nice fire in the fire basket! We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax by the lake.

Fantastic mountain house with a beautiful view. Completely private, the entire hillside belongs to the house. The house is equipped with everything, the kitchen was well equipped, and there is also a washing machine, a dishwasher and a sauna. Communication with the owner was easy, we received all information in advance! Dog-friendly place with great hiking opportunities in the area! I can absolutely recommend it, we will definitely come back!

We had a really nice few days at the lake – the house is super equipped and you really have everything you need to feel comfortable. The view of the lake is simply fantastic, and with sauna and hot tub, no wish remains unfulfilled even in terms of relaxation and variety. We particularly liked the many tips for excursions in the area – both in the house and directly from the host, who was really totally warm and helpful. Everything was sparkling clean and lovingly prepared. We will definitely be happy to come back 😊✨
