The Bindery Orford: a peaceful space for two . . .

LindaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
the bindery is such a cosy place to stay with everything you could need. the kitchen and bathroom were super clean and we had milk in the fridge for a cuppa on arrival + some fizz to celebrate our 40th anniversary+ crisps to snack on. A pretty posy in a vase greeted us and the garden was beautiful. Jamie showed us where everthing was and then gave us privacy for the rest of our stay but only a message away if needed. you have everything you need in Orford if you want to stay put including a castle and a harbour. i would not hesitate to recommend anyone stay here and the bindery is perfect for two. Jamies mum lives next door. she was a bookbinder and the bindery now converted for airbnb guests was her workshop before retiring hence the name

The Hayloft, Orford

We had fantastic stay at the Hayloft. Perfect for a long weekend away for long walks with great pubs / restaurants nearby. The Hayloft was a real home from home and so nice to come back to after a long day exploring. Cannot recommend enough!

Absolutely wonderful cottage. We booked it with a very specific and special reason for staying in Suffolk and hoped it would be ok… words cannot describe how perfect it was. Immaculately clean, so well kitted out, beautiful surroundings, lovely owner, stunning cottage… there are only positive things to say for this place. Thank you Kate for such a fabulous base. Loved every second. Xx

A little slice of paradise! My husband and I had the most wonderful stay here for our anniversary. The setting was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. We especially loved spending our mornings on the private jetty, enjoying our coffee and taking in the serene views. Everything was perfect — we truly didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful, peaceful location with private, sunny courtyard garden. Paul greeted us and was friendly and responsive throughout our visit. Accommodation immaculate, spacious (for 4 adults) and well-equipped. We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing break. The barn is ideal for visiting Southwold, Aldeburgh, Orford and surrounding area.

We had a lovely short stay at Obi’s Barn while attending a wedding at Butley Priory, just a stone’s throw away. The barn felt like a home away from home, equipped with everything we needed and set in the stunning Suffolk countryside.

Pretty Cottage in quiet village location

LizRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was my second stay at Raymers Cottage, and it was every bit as perfect as the first. Kate and Steve are such warm and welcoming hosts, and made sure we had all the information we needed before arrival. We were really thrilled with the delicious homemade cake, which we enjoyed while relaxing in the beautiful secluded garden. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. We were only there three nights and only cooked once, but the kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The cottage is decorated and furnished to a very high spec, while remaining sympathetic to its age and location. Kat and Steve have created a wonderfully cosy and special space which is not only a haven to relax in but within easy reach of so many wonderful places to visit, such as Sutton Hoo, Orford, Southwold, Woodbridge, Framlingham, The Food Museum and Aldeburgh. We’d definitely stay in Raymers Cottage again!

Peaceful cottage in coastal Suffolk village

BarrieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Caroline’s cottage was lovely and she was a very accommodating host. The place was well stocked with everything we needed and we arrived to fresh milk, flowers and home made flapjack! The location was peaceful, the cottage private, and the Ship Inn was a friendly pub three minutes away. I would definitely recommend.
