True luxury in Faroe Islands. The extra space was great to have with 2 little kids. The home is very well curated with beautiful art. The super automated espresso machine was so nice to have, especially with jet lag! The host is super responsive and helpful. The view and location are amazing as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Such an incredible house, ideal for families, huge amounts of space and a giant open plan living/dining/kitchen area. We loved the village and the restaurant/cafe in town is amazing. For anyone wanting to stay in a grass-roofed house with some luxury, this is just perfect.

We loved Gunnar’s beautiful home. The views from every room were spectacular. The home itself was very spacious and yet cozy. The location could not have been more perfect. The little town of Miðvagur was walkable and charming, and the town of Sanðvagur, with its idyllic cafe, Fiskastykkið, was just a few minutes’ drive. From Gunnar’s house, we were able to walk and then hike to the Trælanípa sea cliff (Lake Sørvágsvatn), about 7 miles from start to finish. By car, it does not take long to travel to other islands. We recommend reserving a place on the ferry to Mykines to savor fantastic scenery and check out the puffins. The ferry harbor in Sørvágur is about a 12-minute drive. All in all, the house was perfectly situated and lovely. Thank you! .

This place is well executed for couples and families. Privacy , comfort and relaxing. Wonderful place to relax, do a hike, surf or just sit and take in the surroundings. All amenities are there, just bring food. We all loved it!

The house was lovely and presented well as a very authentic home of a famous writer, but tastefully modernised. Good facilities and a lovely view and location. We can definately recommend this place.
