Cabin vacation rentals in Stony Creek

We loved this cabin, and Caleb was such a gracious host! Arriving to a dozen farm fresh eggs was such a treat. We grabbed some bacon (Smithfield brand, of course) at the local Kroger and had eggs and bacon every day of our trip. The cabin is so quite and peaceful. It literally feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it's a 5 minute drive to all kinds of shops and activities. The povided kayaks were a major selling point for us. It was a very relaxing and beginner friendly paddle up the creek to the river. We saw all kinds of wildlife including otters playing in the creek! It is true that the hot tub is a little glitchy, but it was plenty warm and didn't impact our enjoyment of it at all. Caleb was kind enough to stack wood in the fire pit for us, making our evening campfire easy and streamline. The cabin is really close to great hiking, boutique and antique shops, the brewery, winery and restaurants. I wish we would have taken him up on the offer to bring our dogs. Next time!

Looked forward to getting back there each night. Can't wait to come back.

We stayed at Katerina’s place for 6 nights while I was cleaning my aunts place out after moving her to assisted living. Her home was about 10 minutes from Katerina’s place, in Cartersville. The closest hotels are about 45m-1hr away in Farmville or Richmond. While it would have been a bit cheaper to stay at a hotel, I wasn’t looking forward to a 2 hr round trip every day, so I was lucky to find this place. The cabin has a beautiful view of the river. It was nice to have the hot tub to soak in after long, dusty days. Katerina was responsive to questions. The bed was a bit firm for our taste, but everyone has their own standards there. I got a chance to take a walk around the property and it’s lovely- very picturesque. Overall we had a nice stay, and if you are looking for seclusion, privacy, and peace, this has all those things. If you are looking for those things plus a modern aesthetic, you’ve found the place, hands down.

Sarah’s home was the perfect place for a muchneeded rest and reset. The house was clean, well-equipped, and had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the beautiful lake view such a peaceful experience! Helpful tip for future guests: if you plan to spend time down at the dock, bring a snack and a few beverages with you, you’ll definitely feel the burn going up and down those stairs! Overall, a lovely stay and I’d definitely return.

The cabin is a perfect place to stay for a getaway. It’s private, beautiful, and comfortable. It has all of the things you need. We had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back!

This is our second stay at this cabin and we so enjoy it there. The setting is private and beautiful. The log cabin is gorgeous. We enjoy the open floor plan and fireplace. It’s been a great location to meet up with family to celebrate the holidays. Wilmer is very kind and helpful. He was responsive to our questions and needs. We appreciated the hospitality. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a peaceful place to stay where our dogs could get some exercise. Luke was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the trails with our dogs. The cabin had everything we needed but kept the rustic charm. I enjoyed watching the horses in the pasture from the back screened in porch. We will definitely return when visiting family again.

Loved staying here, though there wasn't much to do around it is within a 30 minute drive to Williamsburg! Enjoyed the peaceful setting as it was great for our dog! The wifi didn't work well but was nice to be disconnected a bit, would recommend staying here for a quite time!

Our family stayed for a beautiful weekend we called a "tree-cation," and this cabin was a perfect spot! everything was exactly as described, and the beds and couches were so cozy. It was the perfect home to slow down and enjoy each other's company, and we enjoyed puzzling on the game table as much as our peaceful evenings on the back porch! Our kids loved the cocoa treats! Its close enough to Richmond to have everything we could need, and yet it felt private enough to feel like we were "getting away from it all." highly recommended!

I love this home. What I love most about it was they provided everything that you would need to be away from home even for your animals. This was one of the best homes I’ve rented and plan to rent again. The check in was easy, checking out was easy and the home is beautiful. They had games for the children and adults. Great parking space. Just a wonderful place to get away with your family. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

This place was amazing. Beautiful, peaceful, everything is here was perfect! I would definitely and will be staying here again. The owners have put so much love and thought into this place. The bathhouse was beautiful and clean and also the bathrooms. The coffee bar was awesome! I highly recommend this place for a relaxing get away. We stayed in the LODGE little house and everything was right there at our fingertips. We rode the golf cart from the parking area onto the little house and explored the paths watching the cows. I can't wait to go back again and again. I give this place a 10 plus for sure!

A very enjoyable cottage/ cabin, well cared for, had all the things you could want, great, detailed book to help in all possible ways, including local clinic and or other possible locations that could be helpful. The place was vast and lush, it had a small marina, swimming hole, deck over the marina, and gorgeous views over the lake into the pastoral lives of the community. They have canoes for the wanderlust adventurer. My dogs had a terrific time exploring the forest trails, on leash, and the compound. I would have liked more of those to hike with them. It's super remote and peaceful/ quiet but a short drive out of the compound and you have a terrific pizzeria with cannoli, seafood entrees, pizza, burgers. Further along, a wonderful cafe with everything Starbucks offers and much more: full breakfast, lunch deli meat sandwiches, all made to order. There is a fine restaurant towards NC with a sports bar and further a public beach, $10p/adult which is DJed. Everyone super helpful

My family and I were absolutely blown away with this beautiful inviting cabin. There really was no stone left unturned. We enjoyed our stay and all the amenities that were offered including the games for the teenagers being able to sit at the fire pit and kick back roasting s’more’s, Morning view sitting on the front porch and the nook with the rocking chairs was perfect. We felt like we were at home away from home. Anyone would enjoy staying here and be very pleased with the hospitality provided.

Cheryl’s cabin is definitely a “peaceful haven”. The cabin was just perfect for my solo weekend. Very clean with all the necessities needed. Close to Farmville and the High Bridge trail. Highly recommend !!

My husband and I frequent the vineyard for events. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to stay there. We’ll definitely return. The serenity is second to none.

We enjoyed our time at Michelle’s house in the lake! We have stayed here before and have always had a great experience. As always, she is available if needed and responds timely, never making us feel like a bother. The house is awesome and we had a fabulous time again this year! Awesome time spent with the family!

Fantastic cabin in the woods. Huge back deck overlooking the water. Bedrooms were nice size and nicely decorated. There were great little touches such as a basket of chips at the door many different options for coffee, ground or keurig. Honestly it’s exactly what me and my wife are looking for when we retire.

We had great time with family and it was a perfect location. The area was very quiet!

We spent two nights here in May and it was very special. The cabin is amazing, very nicely furnished with everything seeming to be top quality, no expense spared. I was impressed to see things like spices, teas, coffees and more provided too. There was even an assortment of board games, which I wish we had more time to have tried out. Everything, inside and out, was incredibly clean and well maintained. The grass had just been mown prior to our arrival and the paths blown clean. Firewood, kindling and matches were provided for the firepit, which we enjoyed lighting for an hour one evening - mostly for the lovely atmosphere of it. Beds are always a personal preference but we found them incredibly comfortable and slept very well. There was no seating on the dock, perhaps the only minor fault I have, since it's such a lovely spot. There are plenty of chairs elsewhere in the garden, however, so we only had to carry one. Overall a wonderful place to stay, highly recommended!
