The Knotty Pine Loft is the upper level (700 sf) of our garage/guest building. Up a flight of stairs you'll find a pine paneled kitchen & living room, private bedroom, and 3/4 bath. Loft windows overlook the pine-oak woods, a tamarack marsh, and 300 yds away is Spooner Lake . Note: The Knotty Pine Loft was named the Lakeview Loft, but after a windstorm downed a number of big trees, new birch and red oak treeshave grown up and lessened the view of the lake. We fell in love with Hayward for the same reason so many people do: the lakes, the quiet, the slower pace, and how easy it is to feel connected to nature. The Cabin for Two sits at the end of a private road on a small wilderness lake, surrounded by county forest. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.
