Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Southwest Penang Island District

We had a great 4-day stay at this Airbnb with our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. The amenities were well thought out, catering not just to the adults but also to the kids, which made our experience even better. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

Thank you so much for hosting us! We really enjoyed our stay. I have to say De’s place is one of the house we stayed that doesn’t skim on giving comfort to the people. De’s kitchen has good utensils, bowls and mugs that are good quality. In many other places we had been to, they’re not good at all. Same goes to beddings and linens. De’s offered cleaned ones and comfortable beds. Thank you so much for clear instructions and for being a very responsive host. We will surely love to stay at your place next time we visit Malaysia again.

Stayed here with a big group and it accommodated all of us nicely. Excellent location as it was right at the heart of town. Also appreciated the flexibility Heng gave us with checking out. Would definitely recommend!

I would say if you have a huge amount of people this is a good place to get away from the city. Most of the amenities are available right here. A really great spot to view the beach which is just right outside the house and a great bonding session in this house!

The place was great! Exactly as it appears in photos and great location walkable to most things! We had a great time and enjoyed staying in this authentic shop house versus just another hotel.

Lovely house with great character in a very central area close to key attractions. On two occasions we discovered that people like to hang out in the street outside and talk late into the night, which made it difficult to get to sleep. Apart from that, we loved staying there.

I'd give more than five stars if AirBnB would let me. We felt really at home, and would unequivocally recommend the place. Siew Lin is an amazing host, flexible, helpful. The place is great. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures; there are two fully-fitted bathrooms, each with a shower; a great kitchen that is fully equipped; washing machine and a drying rack on the beautiful balcony; everything to feel like home... The location is also perfect. In the building complex there's a fully-stocked supermarket (downstairs and across a covered walkway, 3 minutes door-to-door), great restaurants, a beautiful pool that is always empty, a gym, great surroundings... We also like the geography in the city, nestled (somehow extremely quietly) between Georgetown and Tanjung Bungah!

Our family had a fantastic stay at this place. The property was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything a family needs for a comfortable vacation. The unit had ample space for our big family, with cozy bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, and a comfortable living area perfect for family bonding. The location was ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet close to the beach, and convenience stores. Overall, this homestay provided the perfect mix of relaxation and convenience. It was an ideal choice for a family-friendly retreat, and we would happily return in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Penang with the comfort of a home away from home.

My kids really happy and enjoy our stay here but a bit hard to make them sleep at night 🤣 my boy said he wanted to sleep in the “ball pool” .. and my 2 years girl enjoy the cooking set in 2nd room. the view also awesome! location near to restaurant and shop. thank you host for all the clean n kids friendly homestay.

Good Location, well maintained, tidy and clean, very helpful and care

Our family enjoyed the 9-night stay in this nice, clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped Airbnb in a great location with many nearby eateries and with easy access to the beach. We were given clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Despite the heat outside, the apartment became our paradise as we entered it. It has beautiful hill views from the sitting room and bedroom. Watching different birds from the sitting room and monitor lizards in the small drainage below the windows at different times of the day was an enjoyment.

Modern and clean apartment in a nice neighborhood. Communication and checkin was easy. I can highly recommend.

downside: 1) bathroom shower drainage gets clogged as you shower 2) room curtains doesn't entirely block out the sun for the afternoons , due to gaps upside: 1) owner provided free toothbrush and toothpaste 2) there was firstaid materials provided 3) cleanliness was good 4) location and parking was good 5) communications and check in was smooth

Great value and very responsive host. I had to cut my stay short and the host was very accommodating. The games in the pictures are as described and are fun. The condo build has convience stores and restuarants all walkable in the same compex. The A/C system is really good, so you can beat the Malay heat.

We had a wonderful 3 weeks stay at Win's Place. The apartment was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Everything was very clean and we felt right at home. Although the building is close to a main road it is very quiet and you have a view of the pool from the bedroom window. There’s a bus stop opposite the building where you can catch several buses into town if you don’t want to go by grab (have cash ready!). A grocery store, a drugstore and the Friday Nightmarket (delicious street food!) are within 5 minutes walking distance. There is also a 7-Eleven on the ground floor. Win was a fantastic host who gave us lots of recommendations and always responded quickly. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Siang’s Place at Straits Quay. This was the first AiraBNB in a long time where a person showed up to check us in and out. Kev was our contact person during our stay and he was kind, helpful and always available. The unit was clean and comfortable matching the description on the listing. All of the other nice things that people have said in their reviews are true. Even though the unit does not face the water, the balcony is large and nicely shaded in the morning for enjoying our coffee. Some of the things we really liked include the pool and gym (new equipment in the gym and strong AC), the wonderful grocery store just a few steps away, the walking paths along the water (perfect for morning or evening walks), easy pick up and drop off for Grab, and the weekly cleaning service included in the fee. Great stay, we will come again. Thanks Kev and Siang.

Host is great, very informative and helpful. Super nice and friendly. Location is great, easy access to town. Unit is awesome, loved the bathtub. Kitchen is fully equipped.

Stays for 5 days with my family for raya. Not that spacious but we got everything that we need. The place is walkable to lotus, mosque, mini mart and many more. One thing that the host might need to updated, which is the grill color that mismatch with the photo provided. Also the bathroom floor a bit sticky so it left a black thing on your sole. But that’s not a big deal. We enjoy our stays and it’s worth it. Definitely recommended. Thanks for being a great host!

We had a fantastic stay - after a long day of travelling it was a delight to enter into this beautiful home. The views are incredible (we caught an early sunrise) and the thoughtful touches such as the local snacks were really appreciated. Very easy to get a Grab into different areas of Georgetown.

Weykey is great host, she gave clear instruction upon our check in/out time, always responsive and also helpful. Her unit is superb, Spotlessly clean, has a great view towards the ocean and the city, lots of big windows, bright, bed was soo comfy and a have a nice kitchen set up. We truly have no complain about her unit and loving every second we spent there. Will definitely book this unit again if we happen have a chance to go back to Penang!

The place is lovely. Great for a vacation. Beach is nice, night market is... well, night market-y, the pool is LOVELY, and the gym is great. Mostly quiet - watch out for holiday nights though, the traffic is a nightmare! The space is great, nice kitchen. Gary is very helpful! Grab works to get all your food delivered. So I would LOVE to live there forever... just a bit expensive once you know Penang prices for long term stay. So it is perfect for a vacation!
