Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Southport

Very clean home. Very responsive hosts. Our two dogs were welcome and the completely fenced in backyard was a plus for them. We rode our bikes right from the front door to town and the beautiful waterfront. Very comfy king bed- pillows great! Love the claw foot tube! Great kitchen. Southport loves bike riders and is very dog friendly! Shout out to Burney’s Sweets and More- best croissants ever!!!! There was a city water issue that the hosts were very informative about beforehand and during our stay. We loved our visit!!! Highly recommend this house and hosts!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Our family has stayed here several times and we have loved our stay every time. The communication is always great! The house is always beautiful - with everything you could possibly need.. and then some! The house is in the perfect location! Such a quick walk to the beach! I love taking walks in the morning in this neighborhood- with the beautiful Oak trees! It is truly a gem!!

Our stay was perfect. Everything was exactly as described. Felt comfortable from the minute we walked in. Great value with a quick drive to the beach. Loved walking down to the boat ramp and watching boats drive by. The air conditioner worked like a charm as did the washer and dryer. Peggy was responsive to questions and very accommodating. Lot's of towels both bath and beach. Very clean and loved the updated bathrooms. The outdoor shower was awesome! Will definitely come back next year! Thanks Peggy for a wonderful airbnb stay!

This is my second time staying here and it continues to be a lovely and extremely comfortable home away from home. I love this side of Oak Island--beautiful views of the intracoastal waterway at the end of the block and easy access to the beach vía either a nature trail/boarwalk or short car ride. with comfortable beds and a peaceful back porch, this place is perfect for a relaxing break. Highly recommend!

You Me and the Sea was the perfect stay for our family. We needed a place for our family, kids and dogs to feel right at home and this was the place. The kids room filled with toys was wonderful when a storm blew through. The dogs loved the yard and had all that they needed too. Katie was great about giving us recommendations like for a gold cart. We will likely be staying here again!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in downtown Wilmington. It’s just a short walk to the Riverwalk and waterfront boardwalk, yet tucked far enough away to feel private and peaceful. The area is great for walking, and there were plenty of spots nearby to take our dog. The home was spotless and exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. Aaron was a great host with clear communication, and the check-in instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay close to the action in Wilmington while still enjoying some quiet and pet-friendly space!

This is the fifth time we have stayed at the cottage. We feel like it’s our second home. Everything is located conveniently. Walking distance to the beach, scenic walk, kayak ramp. We have seen wild life too blue crabs,large fish all kinds of different birds. Even a little raccoon once. The house it’s always clean and offers all the extras. Owners always there for you. If you ever need to reach The owners, they respond very quickly. It’s a comfortable home for family and friends and even a pet. It’s a super friendly pet island!!! Locals make you feel welcome. Now you see why it’s like a second home.

This is a great space for a couple and a pet. The studio was perfect for me and my husband and our fur baby! They have gates so he can go outside without wondering off. The patio area was wonderful for the evening rain we got at the beach to sit outside out of the rain. The hot tub was fantastic. And just a short walk to the beach. We’ll definitely be back to studio by the sea.

We loved our stay and Jeanna was very responsive throughout the stay if we needed her. The place was very cozy and clean! It was walking distance to a public entry way to the beach, the boardwalk, stores, and many restaurants. We would definitely stay again! 10/10!

This place was nice, and the pool was pretty great. Having two balconies was really useful. There were some minor annoyances, but nothing that the host would really have control over, so I can't ding them for anything.

Could not have asked for a better stay or host! James was wonderful and very responsive and helpful with all questions! I hope to come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay with our two families! It felt larger than expected and there was plenty of room for our two families and more. The kids all enjoyed the game room and the small pool in the backyard. The neighborhood was quiet and an easy walk to the beach. We are all hoping to stay here again!

this place was everything that we had hoped it would be. only complaint is we are not pet people and this place obviously was very pet friendly. the host is amazing with responding to every request politely and timely. we will definitely be staying with them again especially if they have a no pets property.

This was the prefect place for a quick weekend getaway! Host was very easy to communicate with and had a lovely home to stay in! Close access to several public beach access along with the pool! Definitely will be going back in the future again!

I stayed in this first floor condo with my husband and our dog over the weekend and it was perfect. It’s in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood that felt very safe, and it’s just a few minutes from the beach. I really appreciated the basket of essentials that were provided since I forgot to bring my own shampoo and conditioner. My dog also loved having a comfy bed and bowls provided for her :) I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and we loved Julie’s place. She was gracious and flexible. There is a dog park a short walk away which our dogs enjoyed. Would definitely love to stay here again!

We love Southport and Rena’s home is right in the heart of the charming, historic downtown. A couple of blocks to the waterfront and restaurants and anything else that Southport has to offer. Rena was an ideal host and offered suggestions of things to do, a lovely welcome note, and a welcome basket that made us feel at home. Her home is every bit as charming as the pictures and captures the feel and vibe of Southport perfectly. Rena provided many little touches, including a wide choice of coffee and tea for our mornings sitting in the sunroom that made our stay pitch perfect.

I thought it was very accommodating while being peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect neighborhood and Maxine welcomed us with a gift card to a local bakery. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended staying with Maxine.

We love the location and enjoyed our stay! The balcony is the perfect space for morning coffee. The backyard and fire pit area are a great perk. We walked and rode bikes in town, very convenient. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens and great AC! As mentioned by the owner, this is an older home and has some imperfections but these didn’t affect the cleanliness in any way.

Perfect place to rest & relax for what I needed. Hosts were responsive when messaged which is a must for me, great communication. Place was in pristine condition when I opened the door. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

We loved this home. It’s a little off the business roads of Southport and Oak Island and it was perfect and much quieter than the beach areas. I good middle between the two towns. . Nice big backyard for the dogs. Big Master bedroom and bath. Everything you need in a kitchen to cook. We will return.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The place was perfect for my fiancé and I and our two dogs. The walk to the beach was very short and easy, which I loved! We had an amazing time and we were happy we chose to stay here! :)

Beautiful home that is close to everything we wanted to do! The home was clean and well appointed. Our children loved the bunk beds! The hosts were fast to respond and proactive about making sure that we were enjoying our stay. We will absolutely return if we ever come back to the area!
